I never thought I would feel that good to be back on Neoseeker: I'm rediscovering the joy of submitting again! Well, as far as I know, with the experience and the age, I know what I have to do to keep the flame burning: no more iPhone or iPad profile submission unless necessary. By the way, uhm, yeah, I'm playing TWD, I'm also interested more in casual and indie gaming... I'm still not into Deux Ex, Garry's Mod, Terraria or Assassin's Creed but I've succombed to Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and the three Modern Warfare. And eeeer, well... Dead Space... aaaaaand eeeeeeeeer, something I swore I would never buy: Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition... and the Hitman series too... I fell also in love with Sleeping Dogs, Shadow Warrior... I played Alan Wake (finally!) ... As you can see, I did open my mind about some games...

All that to say that I didn't quit gaming..... :)

I played the first episode of Walking Dead Season 2 and well, while it's nice to see Clem a little older and stronger than an adult, the fact that Christa's fate is unknown and that Omid... well... is somewhere else alrerady made me sad. And the dog... and when is the second episode coming? I wanna know who Clem thought was dead (Christa or Kenny?).

Yep, I had crazy weeks at work and at home (with helping my cousins for their exams), so, my time on Neo was reduced to nothing as I've played on Steam, I'm into Caskett and Rizzles fanfictions and into Tumblr (testing it).

I still need to install my printer for the box scans, but good news, I've plenty screenshots to submit :).

Anyway, I should take a vacation day monday and I plan to spend it on Killing Floor for leveling my perks... and finish that damn achievement guide I'm trying to write for it :).

Yep, the why I wasn't on Neo during the last mont is called a TV show named Castle with the wonderful Stana Katic as Kate Beckett and the good Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle. I ship Caskett and I'm still in that phase where only that matters.

It doesn't mean that I've stopped playing. But trust me, when I was a Harm/Mac addict (JAG), I had the same... enthusiasm...

Don't worry guys, I'm still taking screenshots...

And I need to reinstall my printer since Augustus for the box scans...

For those wondering why I didn't update my blog:
- I got caught in putting my professional Wordpress
- I did a lot of coding this summer for work
- I got a problem with my right elbow, making me tap on keyboard with the left hand only
- PC problems got fixed
- I spent my time in Alien Breed, Dead Island and Hacker Evolution

Well, as you can see, I was pretty busy. Some of you have probably noticed that I've sent a lot of screenshots or that I've updated or added guides.

I'm letting you know that I'm busy doing Achievements guide for Killing Floor and Alien Breed 2: Assault, that I need to finish my French and English versions of Escape the Museum, that I need to reinstall Dead Space in order to finish the guide, that I need to finish my French guide about Sam Swift 3, etc..

Oh yeah, I forgot. I've tested Google+ ^^.

I'm just dropping by for a quick announcement: my TF2 achievement guide has been updated and revamped for Hats and Weapons sections. It took me nearly 5 hours to do it (with the non-formatted faq to update as well but with more stuff to put).

Well, at least, I've this less to do. I'm also translating my DS walkthrough for CSI: Unsolved!, so I'll probably be back in a few days to post it.

I've found time to put a wordpress on a server so that I can customize it than using wp.com. You can find it at vincianeamorini.net23.net.

Yes, it's in French but well I don't have time to keep my symfony tutorial now (you know computer...).

Anyway, I think I've found where I'll do my new computer - same shop as the last one.

Oh and I think whoever adds my Wonderful end of the world achievement guide. I was going to add the game profile, so that Neoseeker can host it but apparently, it has been done faster than I thought.

Besides, once I have my new computer, I swear, I'll scan boxshots that I'm missing (because my scanner can restart my computer I don't know and I'm not willing to have again a restart as one occured 35 minutes ago).

And my dog?

She's fine now. Kind of.

Well, someone in my family died at the beginning of the year, another "member" is currently sick so bad that we may have had to take the decision to end her life after 10 years and half of joy with us (I'm talking about my little dog here) and the best is that my computer is overheating so that I'm currently searching for a new one.

But the good news is that I'm earning my life.

It doesn't mean I've time to play the evening. I've cousins to help for their examens, so, generally, I'm going straight to bed when I'm finished.

But I did find the time to play PORTAL 2! I couldn't resist to the pre-order and the potato sack, I've discovered good games in it but well, you know my computer and its tendancy to overheat (currently with Firefox running, it's at 64°C).

Portal 2... Can't believe that it's released... Great game, though I don't know if I'll have time to write a review...

I've also bought the Brothers in Arms series on Steam yesterday, as it was a good sale for the Ubisoft week.

And also, I'm trying to migrate my wordpress on my own host (and not on wordpress.com), it has worked but I need to install plug-ins ;). I'm also working on a simple site on Weebly (well two but one is about video games and the other about maths).

So as you can see, I'm still alive, not contributing because of damn' computer overheating - I'm playing in reality - and because I'm working again. But I'm trying to finish faqs that I've begun a long time ago and I'm thinking about some achievements guides, so... keep tuned!

That chapter is about installing Symfony in Netbeans and Wamp and setting your first project.

On Steam, it's the winter sales and well, with some games being cheaper, I didn't hesitate, like for Peggle or HOG. But I'm resisting the price of FEAR2: Reborn, as I need my external hard drive (though I can buy it without installing it too).

I will have time to come back on Neo as well.

I mean, I have a wordpress for symfony and everything related to my current job/training, nothing about my experiences in TF2 or in my personnal life will be written on it. But no worry, I'll still publish things here.

It's just that I needed a blog where I could write in French. I know I could have done here but I'm associating Neoseeker with English, not French. I'll also publish the Symfony tutorial in English I'm doing but I plan to release it it here... though I'm wondering if I'm not gonna just do some extracts so that I don't have to convert every tag so that Neo isn't changing them (I had suddenly closing tags despite having the beginning ones in a code tag or php tag).

Anyway, if you want to see it (I'm finishing the French version first but there are already something you know on it) and if you're interested by stepping in to see my serious side, just get in.

Remember my great post about generating schema.yml m:m?

I'm evolving and mainly writing a tutorial about symfony 1.4 in French (I'll try to translate it in English and publish it here... and fighting with code and php tag).

So, now, I've written a schema.yml without describing ids, as Doctrine is generating them itself.

But well, I was sure it would be work like before that... I never thought I would stumble upon an error that will only annoy me when I'll be using doctrine:build --all, doctrine:build --all --and-load, etc..

SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1005 Can't create table '*' (errno: 150)

Yeah right. You can't put my foreign key? Okay so, it's probably because the databse is in MyISam and that my tables are InnoDB.

But after seeing that even adding that InnoDB was my default engine, that error was still looking at me with a devilish smile.

I mean that everything is working fine: no problem for saving data or anything. So yeah, I could have said: pff, you're not even annoying.

But when something isn't going right, I want to find a cure. Or in other words, I don't want that error to stay there.

I found a entry blog that was explaining that there was a problem of type. It wasn't solving my problem but at least, it has confirmed that I was a noob by thinking that it was my MySQL getting crazy.

And then, I had an idea. I mean, I remembered something: there was bigint mentionned for my id in the schema.sql.

Doctrine is generating id in bigint(20). I was asking to put an integer(4) for my tables storing the foreign keys.

And it was that that the error was trying to say to me. "Get your ass here, you don't have the same types" would have been more explicit though.

So I change the stuff into a bigint(20).

And pffff, the error was vaporized!

(Yeah, I've played Beat Hazard yesterday and got vaporized on some Rammstein tracks).

Anyway, now, I know that Doctrine prefers bigint than int for the ids.

Remember that post? I've deleted it because well, I need to update it but I don't want to create a post for saying it's updated. In other words, well, I'm lazy and I prefer to copy paste everything. So here we go again.

When something isn't good enough for my eyes, I'm always trying to arrange that. Even if stylesheets aren't my forte, I can use it basically for my needs.

If you remember my schema m:m, you already know that I'm speaking about videogames. I've generated a module "jeux" (jeux = games in French) with the command doctrine:generate-module. So, what Doctrine and Symfony did? They've generated everything that I needed basically, as the forms.

So, you can see me already adapting the form in order to have visually pleasant for me. The file GameForm.class.php is under lib/form/doctrine and is empty. Yes, it's empty. So how it's generating my form? In reality, that file is used for override and to customize some options you can find in BaseGameForm.class.php (under lib/form/doctrine/base).

You'll ask me that I could do changes in it but in the Jobeet tutorial, they're not doing it and besides, it's better not to touch the "source" code.

Anyway, after a few tries, I've finally what I wanted:

__phpcode0__

As my comments are in French, I'm explaining here what I did:

1) Change the date range: Symfony is putting by default a 10 years range (2005->2015) with the current year as reference. But I wanted to add Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis as adventure game for testing and well, that game is from the nineties, so with a such range, I'm just a little stuck. So, I used a code I found on Symfony – Forms in Actions (unfortunately not linked on the website – Google is your friend in that case) in order to extend the range.

2) I wanted a list of genres as a checkbox one (like on Neoseeker) and not a dropdown one. So, I used sfFormDoctrineChoice which is better in the case of m:m (and it's that widget which's been generated in BaseGameForm.class.php), I added what it needed in order to work like the model (genre), if it will be an unique choice or a multiple one (multiple is set at true when you want a multiple choice), if you want a select, a checkbox or a radio (in our case, I want a checkbox, so expanded is at true), etc.. Here is a little reminder about multiple and expanded:

1. I want a dropdown list (so the user has only one choice possible):
'multiple'=>false,'expanded'=>false

2. I want a dropdown box (so that the user can do multiple choices):
'multiple'=>true,'expanded'=>false

3. I want a list with radio buttons:
'multiple'=>false,'expanded'=>true

4. I want a list with checkboxes:
'multiple'=>true,'expanded'=>true

So I'm done (after setting appropriate labels with setLabels()). But when I saw the results, it was: "WTF are doing li tags just before my checkboxes? I didn't ask that!".

They're rendering it like that and I'm not so advanced in Symfony to try a renderer class or to modify anything in the code source. I found an answer but unfortunately, it was related to sfFormChoice and not my widget, who isn't supporting an argument like "renderer_class".

Today (well a few days ago now), I decided to come to an end to that. So, I tried other options. And what I couldn't see two weeks ago just popped up in my head like that. It's not hurting and it's just for newbies like me but well, these horrible li disappeared and I'm happy right now. So, here are the methods:

strip_tags()

PHP has a function that can elimitate html tags in a string. So, I opened the _form.php under apps/frontend/jeux/templates (remember, the module we're speaking about is jeux, so, it's there I need to go) and I changed the line __phpcode1__ by __phpcode2__

The tag is removed but by doing so, you don't have anymore a vertical list of genres. If you're not being bothered by that, it's good. Don't forget to put the allowed tags instead of list of tags as Neoseeker doesn't see that they're not meant to be interpreted (I saw closing tags at the end of the post).

|I've solved this today|

But you can do the following if you really want them vertically:
__phpcode3__

You replace the closing tag for li by the tag br and save the new form in a new variable which will be printed with the echo. Don't forget to add the tag br in the allowed ones.

Oh yeah!

CSS method

Well, open the file main.css (or any css you've included for your form) under web/css and add:

code
li{
list-style-type: none;
}

While the li tag is still present, at least, you don't see any squares, circles, etc. and your list is vertical. But well, if you're using any li and you need a visual reference, unless you create a special class for them or add a style attribute, you're doomed.

|I've solved this today|

So how to solve that? Create a new CSS (form.css for example) and put it under web/css. Put the code above in it. Then, go to _form.php and add that line at the beginning:

__phpcode4__

Oh yeah!

Anyway, this post is merely a reminder for myself about the pros and the cons of it but I think that it can help newbies trying to search an answer and not finding one.

Uhm, well, yeah, many of us, the Neobloggers, were waiting for that: to delete a comment that can be spam, insulting or anything else not constructive at all.

So for me, it's Christmas on Neoseeker (and Christmas for Neoseeker, as I'm beginning to come back slowly with profiles, box scans and faqs).

By the way, I lost my Handyman in TF2 (a deal with my best friend there) but as I was letting him the hat he crafted with it, I asked him to find one of these: napper, merryweather or vintage soldier stash. He found me the napper in 20 minutes ^^. I've used the light pink color but I hope to find Pink as Hell. A fast post for a little tip: I've searched without success how to disable email login.

If you prefer, I've downloaded the sfDoctrineGuardPlugin, one of the most importants when you're developping with Symfony. It's used mainly for signin and also registering but even if the basic readme is already complete for the basic changes, it was missing this: HOW TO DISABLE THE EMAIL LOGIN WHEN YOU WANT A USERNAME ONLY?

And the answer is just as simple as what will follow.

Well, just put that line in the app.yml of your application (in my case apps/backend/config):

I'm busy. I mean, I was already busy trying to get a grip a Symfony but with the Steam deals recently, I have purchased a indie pack (puzzle if you want to know: Tidalis, Shatter, Puzzle Dimension, Cogs and Droplitz). But today, with their treasure hunt (and the promise of a hat in tf2), I'm being kinda anxious.

I mean, I've 3/4 achievements for the two first days: avatar, Chime (yep, I've Chime) and Poker Night (yep, I've unlocked the Iron Curtain - it was my third unlock on the game).

But what if it's about games I don't want to buy or I don't have enough space on my hard drive? Please Santa Valve, do something about one achievement in TF2 and L4D/L4D2... or Alien Swarm...Or Audiosurf...or Flight Control... or well, Half-Life ^^. I've more than 100 hours on both L4D, I've a good part of unlocks in TF2 (and all achievements), I've done 14 min. with Ninja Mono (elite) for achievements, I've all achievements on Half-Life saga. I'm also ready to play CS:S if needed.

But hey, guess what? I got Ze Goggles for the Medic from a crate and a friend handed me the Handyman Handle for a Bonk Helm I got from a deal (a sticky jumper against it, yes, it's a shame but I wasn't going to miss it as it wasn't for me).

Well, I'm going back to my symfony. I'm a noob in it but apparently, I'm learning quickly. I plan to write a noob guide by a noob ^^. Maybe I'll publish it here step-by-step ^^.

By the way, after TF2, HL2/E1/E2, you can add Fluttabyes as game with all achievements unlocked. Chime will be following as I'm only missing the 100 cubes. Yes, I did cover the grid in 3 min mode for each level. Isn't it great? Flight Control HD also should be soon joining the club as it's a matter of number of games played.

Vic utilise Netbeans 6.9 and Symfony 1.4.. This is the French translation of the previous blog post, so, don't begin to tell me to do it in English, it's already done!

code
Game:
  columns:
    id:
      type: integer(4)
      autoincrement: true
      primary: true
    name_game:
      type: string(255)
      notnull: true
    developer:
      type: string(100)
      default: Inconnu
    publisher:
      type: string(100)
      default: Inconnu
    background:
      type: string()
    release_date:
      type: date(25)

code
Genre:
  columns:
    id:
      type: integer(4)
      autoincrement: true
      primary: true
    name_genre:
      type: string(50)
      notnull: true
  relations:
    Games:
      foreignAlias: Genres
      class: Game
      refClass: GameGenre
      local: genre_id
      foreign: game_id

code
GameGenre:
  columns:
    game_id:
      type: integer(4)
      primary: true
    genre_id:
      type: integer(4)
      primary: true
  relations:
    Genre:
      onDelete: cascade
      local: genre_id
      foreign: id
      foreignAlias: GameGenres
    Game:
      onDelete: cascade
      local: game_id
      foreign: id
      foreignAlias: GameGenres

code
Game:
  columns:
    id:
      type: integer(4)
      autoincrement: true
      primary: true
    name_game:
      type: string(255)
      notnull: true
    developer:
      type: string(100)
      default: Inconnu
    publisher:
      type: string(100)
      default: Inconnu
    background:
      type: string()
    release_date:
      type: date(25)

Genre:
  columns:
    id:
      type: integer(4)
      autoincrement: true
      primary: true

web development symfony doctrine schemayml french
vicrabb blogged

Vic is using Netbeans 6.9 and Symfony 1.4. She is already sorry for her skills in technical langages when it comes to English but she hopes you can understand what she's trying to mean. She might publish the same message but in French.

After a bad experience of generating schema with a Doctrine command... uhm what? Oh yeah, what's Doctrine?

« Object relational mapper (ORM) for PHP that sits on top of a powerful database abstraction layer (DBAL). One of its key features is the option to write database queries in a proprietary object oriented SQL dialect called Doctrine Query Language (DQL), inspired by Hibernates HQL. This provides developers with a powerful alternative to SQL that maintains flexibility without requiring unnecessary code duplication. » - from Doctrine Project.

So, after using a Doctrine command integrated in the symfony framework, I had to rewrite myself my schema.yml, used to define my database. My test project was about... videogames. So, here is the model:

A game can have several genres as he can be supported on several platforms. A platform can have a library of several games and it's the same for the genre.

So how to generate my schema.yml without using any plugin doing it automatically?

Well, first, I've decided to write the definition of the Game table (indentations are really important in YAML) because the game is in the center of my schema:
code
Game:
  columns:
    id:
      type: integer(4)
      autoincrement: true
      primary: true
    name_game:
      type: string(255)

You don't have to precise the relationship between it and another table (in our case Genre or Platform) if you plan to do it in the latter. In other words, Doctrine can make the link between two tables as far as you have the relationship defined in one of them.

Well, now, it's time to see what Genre must contain.
code
Genre:
  columns:
    id:
      type: integer(4)
      autoincrement: true
      primary: true
    name_genre:
      type: string(50)
      notnull: true

Seen like that, it's still easy. But here comes the part where you're defining the relationship:
code
Genre:
  columns:
    id:
      type: integer(4)
      autoincrement: true
      primary: true
    name_genre:
      type: string(50)
      notnull: true
  relations:
    Games:
      foreignAlias: Genres
      class: Game
      refClass: GameGenre
      local: genre_id
      foreign: game_id

So, what's important?

First, I'm giving the name of the relationship (related to the other table in this case): Games. After, I give an optional alias for the relationship (related here to the current table). Class is representing the name of the table (or the class if you prefer) which is tied to Genre (Game).

But as we already know, m:m relationships are better with a « middle » table where the links are stored. So, we need to specify it in refClass. Now, Doctrine will know that if something is changing or in Game or in Genre, it will be reflected in GameGenre (but we need to give a parameter in GameGenre, which we'll do in a few minutes).

Local is refering to the current object (here Genre) but with the name of the id in GameGenre, so that he knows that id in Genre equals to genre_id in GameGenre. Foreign is doing the same except that it concerns the other table.

Now, it's time to define the linking table. If it's not in your schema, Doctrine will not know where to store the data related to that. Besides, should I remind you that schema.yml is defining your database, so, all the tables must be in it?
code
GameGenre:
  columns:
    game_id:
      type: integer(4)
      primary: true
    genre_id:
      type: integer(4)
      primary: true
  relations:
    Genre:
      onDelete: cascade
      local: genre_id
      foreign: id
      foreignAlias: GameGenres
    Game:
      onDelete: cascade
      local: game_id
      foreign: id
      foreignAlias: GameGenres

It's based on the same explanation I gave above. The only new option you can see here is onDelete: cascade, so that, if a game is deleted, the link with genres will be also deleted (same if it's concerning a genre).

Another difference is that you give directly the class which is concerned (don't forget it's the linking table).

Once you did that and you understood that, you can do platform without problem for obtaining our schema.yml.

code
Game:
  columns:
    id:
      type: integer(4)
      autoincrement: true
      primary: true
    name_game:

With that schema, you can generate files and forms that will work and that will insert the data where it should be without you to make your own queries or your own code.

Note that I've defined the id of each table because I wanted to have a clear schema for understanding it. Else, Doctrine can generate a column id by itself.

If you want to know more about it:

I'm currently learning how to use Symfony and despite having done the Jobeet Tutorial, some things aren't obvious or explained. So, here are some tips I've learned:

- When you're doing a database, you can directly generate a schema.yml directly with the command php symphony doctrine:build-schema. Only working with existing databases. Don't use it when setting up a new one.

- If you need relationships between your tables but can't express them very well in phpmyadmin for example, use Mysql Workbench. It's free, you can generate a model for a database or change an existing one and modify/create it from the software by synchronizing in live with your db. But you can also use the model for helping you to write yourself the schema.yml, which is a better solution, unless you have 1000 tables to do.

- Use InnoDB as the db engine, it shows the relationships and it will be clearly indicated in the schema.yml.

- If you're using Wamp server or anything else looking like it, for better results, I'm just advising you to use a IDE like Netbeans. Because spending two days on a broken wamp server due to multiple changes in order to make symfony work. Netbeans has good tutorials on how to configure everything.

- In the routing.yml, if you're doing a URL, don't forget that when using a model, the parameters you want to pass and coming from it must have the same names as their counterparts in the database. You want to pass the id of a table but that one is called id_table? So instead of putting :id, put :id_table. It will be better.

- The method __toString isn't there for decoration, it's very useful. So abuse it for what you need.

- If sfWidgetFormChoice isn't satisfying you, aka, it's not returning the real ids of your choices, use sfWidgetFormDoctrineChoice and the sfValidatorDoctrineChoice. The syntax is different but it works better. Don't forget that your symfony must have the sfDoctrinePlugin activated.

- If you're proposing multiple choices (dropdown list, checkboxes, etc.), don't forget to put 'multiple'=>true in your validator. Else, it will return an error.

- If you're putting initial date for testing your application, you need to put the names of the columns. For example, your table category has a column name_cat, your fixture must reflect it:
category:
design:
name_cat: Design.

Well I hope these tips can help, it's merely also a reminder for me, so...

You'll not believe it but I'm writing from the new browser Rockmelt.

So what's really new?

Well, you're connected with your Facebook, so you can see your friends (or your favorite friends), you can update your status from there, you have also a twitter icon.

You can customize your Rockmelt (aka removing things you don't want or adding them) if you click on the "Rockmelt" in the upper left corner of it.

Well, the central window is just smaller than in other browsers due to the Facebook and Twitter edges, which is perhaps annoying but by removing them, you can go back to a better window. But where is really the interest in the browser if you remove them?

Good point: you can open an inconito window, where you're browsing inconito (or they said, being a noob in that field doesn't permit the analysis of the truth of that statement). No cookie, no trace of you, no history, in other words....

Anyway, while it seems good, it's just a Chrome revamped with a Facebook connect. If you're really a true Facebook user, it may be interesting for you, as you can share directly links but if you're not really in it, you'll prefer Chrome, Firefox or Opera.

That's my first impressions and while I'll probably not use it a lot as I'm a huge fan of Firefox, it may be handy from time to time. And well, this is a beta, so, perhaps it will come with other features.

Anyway, don't forget it's the first social browser to have a good coverage like that and it's maybe a good thing than to communicate with people you're connected. Firefox has add-ons for it, Rockmelt incorporated that in the core.

You can connect with your Facebook to get early access if you want to test it.

Yeah, you heard well, I found a hat... when I was too tired to fight against sleep while waiting for my best friend on steam for a trade.

Since the release of the trading system and the Sacrifice DLC, I played a lot without really making attention to TF2. But as I've a deal with a steam friend (a mining light against three refined), I've been playing more TF2 getting items I didn't need (as I've finally got all the old weapons back), crates I don't open, well all that for metals. I've one refined, so I'm glad.

But well, being a L4D2 owner, I got Ellis's cap and frying pan and as I've said, I got Bill's Hat. So you can say that I'm happy to have hats without having to craft something.

I got also new weapons: the croco shield, l'étranger, your eternal reward, the vita-saw, the fish, the battalion backup. All that by craft or by trade. But I did something. I've bought items in the Mann co Store. Mainly for having the Mann co cap. I've bought a soldier stash, a sidney sleeper and a degreaser.

And then I got that baker boy... just before getting a shortstop from my best friend on steam against his étranger he gave me (but as I've found two others, I could do it).

I am so now excited to see I found my third hat (Fro being my first but crafted it, Fedora - the most beautiful birthday gift in the virtual world)!

So in other words, I have:
- Cheater's Lament (given by Valve)
- Gibus (Achievement)
- Masked Bag (Achievement)
- Alien Swarm Parasite (Achievement on Alien Swarm)
- Bill's Hat (trade)
- Ellis's cap (L4D2 owner)
- Mann Co Cap (buying things in the store)
- Fedora (dropping system)
- Toque (crafted with hats)
- Brigade Helmet (crafted with metals)
- Soldier's Stash (bought at the store)

So, yeah, if I add the Mining Light that will arrive, I've more hats I wanted than hats I'm not interested in (but still keeping them). Isn't it wonderful?

Yes, I was playing FEAR 2, mission 7 Top in hard (I've survived to the snipers AND I managed to save my Heavy Armor) when annoucement from TF2 dropped. I didn't really had time to check but a friend contacted me saying that it was the polycount pack. He told me new achievements and I exit directely after finishing the chapter. It was just fixes in them °_°.

After downloading, waiting for items to reappear and waiting for a server to work as it was crashing upon connecting, I've finally traded my dead ringer for a blutsauger, given two hats (one promised and the whoope cap) to my best friend on steam - he gave me an alien swarm hat (I've two now) and his bill's hat (I can't believe he proposed it to me! I'm amazed how easily he let got of that hat when I can't let go from my toque, my fedora and my brigate helmet).

Anyway, trading is working fine and for once Valve do something right upon update, it's servers that are crashing....

Yeah after a year and half of taking dust on my desk, I've finally installed FEAR 2 and I'm playing it. It's a good game but for me FEAR is better, probably because it was the first one and that you didn't know about Alma.

But in nearly two months, apart some personal stuff and a clash with my steam best friend, I've been playing a lot TF2 (I crafted a whoopee... and i've sacrified worthy items FOR THAT), L4D, Alien Swarm and L4D2.... without forgetting Nightmare House 2, a HL2E2 modification who is really scaring and creepy.... for people not used to the genre. My experience with FEAR sure does help.

In Alien Swarm, I'm currently in my fifth promotion and got more achievements though I'm delaying Insane and Brutal difficulty till my inventory is back. I've also tested Onslaught mode without knowing it, imagine my face when I saw parasites and shielbugs in the first level...

In L4D, I've made some real progress: I've killed more than 53 395 zombies in four months (my best friend on steam was kinda jealous of the timeline: he got it two years after he bought the game - he got it with me in June), I've also managed thanks to friends to get at least all bronze medals in Survival (one of them knew some glitches and tricks that Valve still didn't patch) - but I rassure you, I can survive alone with bots for more than 4 minutes in each L4D -. And finally, I finished two campaigns on four on Expert - Death Toll and No Mercy. Now, when I'm playing normal or advanced, I'm nearly bored. I also managed to kill all alone a tank with fire - he got stuck during a survival round in Warehouse.

In L4D2, I got some achievements I couldn't get in Scavenge and one of the mutations as a special Infected (as Charger, Jockey and Spitter) and mainly, I finished Dead Center in Expert while trying to get Shock Jock with my faithful bots. Then, you had the Last Man on Earth mutation where I got the achievement about killing a tank with melee weapons. And for Expert campaigns? Well, me and my bots managed to do the four others campaigns during Gib Fest mutation (we had only M60 and magnum as weapons and it was doing wonders). I was helped for Dark Carnival as the crescendo event from Stables is really hard to pass but then I was alone for the rest. I've just sacrified my bots in the end because they were too slow to come. But it's a real challenge to do them in Expert, with some of the events being hard (the Soda challenge and the Mall for Dead Center, the Roller Coaster and the Stables for Dark Carnival, the Plantation for Swamp Fever, Sugar Mill - for the witches - and the return in the hurricane for Hard Rain, The Bridge for the Parish).

And now, it's FEAR2, I've already done 5/14 missions on Hard but got pissed off by Replica, so, now I'm on Easy, I've killed four people with a grenade when I suck at that, I've also pinned people with the Hammerhead, I managed to kill Vanek at 1.00 AM this night after being powned on Easy by him and I've found parts of the demo level scattered around: but that damn part with ghosts in the school when you don't have many lights is still scary as it was in the demo, I'm wondering HOW I'll survive that in Hard... without at least a godmode. But hey, Alma is still Alma and I'm just sad that we don't have the same ambiance as in FEAR, probably because I know how Alma can react, because I know how it was heavy psychologically to learn that who you was really (with Extraction Point being more emotionnal and Perseus Mandate... nah, not that one)....

In other words, I've been playing Alien Swarm, tried the Versus mode in L4D, tried L4D2 and still managing the server in TF2.

I must say that Alien Swarm got me, I've done the campaign on Hard (with friends) where someone else and me were the only survivors in the last mission... while being medics (our tech got killed near the end). I've the gallium cross, meaning that I've promoted three times (imagine that I had to do three times the leveling for getting back my flame, my electric armor, my healgun).

As for L4D2, I don't know why but I prefer L4D. Perhaps it did a great impression on me and that L4D2 failed to surprise me. Anyway, yesterday, I got with bots the one where you don't have to disturb a witch (in other words, I've done a epic speed run in the sugar mill) and the one where you have to let the original survivors to kill a tank... I've killed bots in order not to mess up with it (and it took me five tries because of damn Chargers or Jockey).

That's my life since Alien Swarm came out and I've received L4D2...

With that update going live Friday for Europeans people (can't be there unfortunately), Valve is making me freak out with sentries: it's just that having sentries spamming isn't always being great when you're trying to play or when you have to manage a server that aren't allowing them for achievements, only if it's for helping someone else (aka Scout, Sniper, Demo, Soldier, Medic, Spy).

Anyway, it seems that the Wrangler can be interesting but I'm not really attracted by it: I don't know for you but when you're the only Engi around with some spies, I don't think that having that out will help you against them.

The Frontier Justice seems better looking for me and perhaps better than your shotgun. That's what I call something I WANT immediately.

Else I'm not interested in the Gold Wrench, maybe it will be like the Gibus, maybe not but being part of a small club like that (come on 100 only? You're rewarding idlers, Valve? Knowing you, you may just let a surprise behind).

As for the new map, a new payload map is maybe good but I'm still waiting for a new mode to try or for a map during the night looking like Dustbowl or Badwater (not Pipeline or Double Cross) or to simply have a 2Fort by Night officially - in other words, don't let it stayed in custom maps but make it official.

I'm not really being appealead by this update anyway, knowing that I'll miss the first day and that it happens right before the two finals for the WC (the match for the third and fourth place and the real final).

Did I tell you also that I bought L4D and that I'm spending my time on that game? I'm playing with friends but also with bots and nothing better than to win on first play the achievement where a tank can't hurt ya :D!

Yeah, yeah, I know, I should be more present on Neoseeker. But when there is a World Cup, I'm watching matches I can. Here, in Europe, soccer is like what the Baseball or the Basketball or the Ice Hockey is to the USA: nearly a religion.

So you can imagine that for me, who isn't really a fan of soccer but enjoy watching international leagues, the World Cup is a great moment of joy. Not because there is Italy, I would preferred to see Belgium in it but because you can discover other teams that you're not used to follow.

So, the real match was yesterday, with a Germany conquering Australia (that was litteraly strangled) because England-USA was deceiving - Poor Green, if he doesn't prove that he can guard a goal without letting the ball go into it from his hands, he'll be probably burn on the altar - you know how British people can react when it comes to that sport.

Anyway, I'm also not present because I'm currently doing a crazy bet: writing a walkthrough for Half-Life and its two add-ons for Neo and GF who don't own a French guide for these old games: Half-Life is 12, Opposing Force is 11 and Blueshift is 9. Weirdly, I'm feeling new sensations and perhaps the best is that I was playing like a kamikaze younger and now... I've discovered that there WAS a safe path when you're climbing down a rock
wall in Surface Tension (I was always taking the tube and loosing many health). I'm also feeling that chapters are shorter than what I remembered (HL2, Fear and Doom 3 experience) and that it was harder than I thought.

The guide for Half-Life is out, I'm preparing Opposing Force and getting out a little of TF2 because of a down server is marvelous...

Since the update, I've been playing Half-Life again, like in 1998, without cheats (apart when seriously Nihilanth was pissing me off). I've also managed to get all achievements in Episode One (yes I'm able to protect every citizen without shooting - thanks RPG and rockets) and I've finally got the courage to redo Episode Two and to get the achievements I was missing. But among them, it has the defense of the base and no destroyed building during the Strider Battle, which is so nervous that I have memories of Striders going too fast for me.

Don't ask me why but I've managed to save the buildings and to survive to the battle. Yes, I was on easy and no for once, I wasn't in godmode... And Valve, my memories are just being offended because you removed two striders at the end. I remember having a lot of Striders coming in the same time in the last wave. So, I took the first three and I ran to supply for being sure to have time for the last two... as I remembered the game and suddenly White Forest announced complete victory....... and my achievements showed. I was proud of myself as I did a nearly impossible achivement but I was disappointed that I couldn't get the last two striders...

Anyway, I've decided to reload a save from Portal (from the update in March) and to try to get that damn Long Jump achievement I couldn't get before. It's the only "normal" achieveemtn that I needed, I'm sure that for the challenges, I'm not going to win all medals.

Which brings me to playing Half-Life again (and to be surprised to find it harder than Half-Life 2 and shorter than my memories were telling me) and to get my writing skills to finally write the french walkthrough (with texts from my website). I've also updated Doom 3 but it's not showing on Neo - I don't know why and my updated profile here has also disappeared and it's impossible to get it back each time I'm updating....

I'm going back to my faq and to Half-Life Opposing Force, seriously, how come my brain is making me think that levels were longer than they are in reality?

Okay, okay, I admit, I'm harsh when someone is harassing me when I'm playing a video game I love. And bothering me when I'm playing Half-Life 2 isn't the smartest move someone can have.

Why am I back to playing it? I never quit playing that game, it's just that I was playing mods or that I was busy with stuff like TF2 or PKV 2.

Valve promised us when the Orange Box was out that the PC gamers will have the achievements they never had for HL2 and Episode 1. Episode was already provided with them. And well, X360 gamers had the luck to do some during ALL three games.

The time advances, advances, advances. TF2 is updated, Portal gets a new achievement and no word on Episode 3...

And then Steam provides game for Mac. Portal is free for a limited time, TF2 is preparing to the Engineer update and... the 26th May 2010, Half-Life 2 and its episodes land on Mac... With a big surprise for the PC gamers: bugs, annoying bugs and... achievements (which are bugged also for some).

Yeah, you heard me, we have finally these achievements... specific to a game. Which means if you didn't play Episode 2, don't try to get Deadly Harvest on HL2 and on E1, you'll not get it.

But the most annoying bug for me is specific to Steam, indeed, players noticed that when your Steam is in French, there are two moments that your game will crash: picking up the gravity gun in Black Mesa East and the shotgun in Lowlife (E1). Also, I begin to play in French, I quit the game and I come back..... It's now in English and I'm lazy, I know the story, so I don't need French.

But the fact that I had to change my Steam in English for getting past these bugs, quit, set back to French and continue the game is really really something annoying.

But you know me and my achievements for my favorite games... and my habit to be in godmode when there is a passage I don't like or when I'm writing something. For achievements, I can't use cheats (contrary to HL2E2, when you set a cheat and then turn it off, it says that cheats were used on the session and that you can't get what you want). So, I did HL2 for the first entirely without godmode and I got some epic deaths, mainly with a bunch of fast zombies and a poisonous one, with my saw unfortunately a little too far and without HEV protection and 100% health. I had an hard time to deal with them but I've managed. But miracle, I didn't die during the assault on Overwatch Nexus with the suppression device... And yes, I survived Antlion Guards...

In other words, I've done all achievements in HL2. They're mainly story-related but I'm proud to say that I've managed to do Ravenholm with my gravity gun only, that I've managed not to put a foot on the sand in Sandtraps (I had to reload a couple of time because the objects are more slippy than before), that I've found all Lambda caches (thanks to some video on 360 but you know, I had already the majority of them since a long time), I've killed someone with a toilet and I've scored two points with Dog's ball...

I'm currently at the citizen escort in Episode One and I'm proud to say that I've killed five combines with an energy ball, that I didn't kill the two stalkers in the core and that... eeer I'll tell you when I get the one where I've a bullet free only.

For episode 2, I'm glad that I found all maggots, that I've sent the gnome in the rocket and that I killed the chopper with two mines only (after several tries). Now that I know that I can survive Striders, I'll try to have the one where you have to protect all the buildings (but it will be after getting the final one whihc I never got with my godmode).

Anyway, I hope that my hl2 achievement guide for PC will be out soon (it's already on SuperCheats but it's not formatted...).

I'm going back to my citizen escort I'll do with guns, I doubt I can manage to do without firing.

So, TF2 is releasing a second wave of community weapons and hats, which means that my list of wanted hats is now being longer. Did you that hat for pyro in pic? I want it. I want it so badly. And the new headphones set for Engineer? And Ze googles for Medic? And oh gosh, that sergent drill must be awesome for soldier!

Also new weapons designs are great. But god, now my most desired hat is now officialy that new hat for pyro. Damn it, Valve for your new dropping system. Now, I will wait forever for a dropped hat, my only hope is the crafting.

And damn you Valve, I have to UPDATE AGAIN my guide, as poor i-don't-remember-his-nickname, as poor Brett has to add also new lines to his already complete guide.

If my steam friends read this, don't show your face with one of these news hats I've just written above else you'll be dominating without pity (I'm not kidding but ya know that it's just for fun and not because I hold a real grudge, as far as you don't say every time the name of the hat as a certain player who is used to spam me *glares to him*¨).

Check it out!

The old one is that Yahtzee isn't asking for money anymore since middle of 2009 for the special editions of the following games (you'll find informations about characters, books of chzo, soundtrack, concept art, depending on the game you're downloading - but dear Yathzee's commentary is constant and really funny... and sourceful):

I'm giving credits to Valve: if I'm ok with the fact that people playing beta have to be rewarded for that 'cause without them, TF2 would not be TF2, I wasn't ok with the fact that they think it should have been the official release date. Because the ending date for gold was just BEFORE Christmas but also because you have 15 days of 2007 not counted in it, which was a shame for players from that period (I'm a 2007 player and bought the Orange Box as retail) and because well, a lot of players around the world was waiting for a retail release. The truth is that associating 2007 players when the game is released in october with people buying it a year later isn't really something I was at ease. As many of 2007 players, being associated to 2008 players (even if I make a break) isn't really something appealing.

I just wanted to say that :).

For first thing, TF2 updated again. After the Sam & Max promo (I wish I had my own credit card for that - else for payment, I need my mom's and it's not to her to buy my games - I'm maybe 27 but I'm still a mommy's little girl) and the Community weapon/hat update, Valve added cp_freight as official map (not really liking it for the few times I've played it when HK was having a custom map server) and gave us the Crit-O-Cola as new "weapon" for scout... as if he needed 6 seconds of critical shoots. Anyway, as Valve put away the slow-down motion due to Bonk!, they had to do something for the achievment Retire the Runner... and guess what? Kill a scout under the effects of the crit-o-cola... It's great 'cause if you don't have it, you can't help.

I decided that perhaps I could craft it: I've the three slot token (minus PDA one but heavy and spy weapons aren't really a frequent drop for me - I'm still waiting for my chocolate bar - no I can't craft it, I don't have an heavy class token), a scrap (it was for a pyro hat - guess I'll be waiting) and the scout class token (yep). I had 50% of chance to get the cola or the bonk.

I screamed in my room (well, screaming is just a big word) when I saw that I got the crit-o-cola.

The result is that I sacrificied two potential scraps for another slot token. So, it means that I've sacrificied a recycled metal (one scrap and the two potential) which means I've sacrificed a potential refined metal (I'm owning 2 for now) which means I've sacrificied a potential hat (as I've also 2 refined, you need three for a random hat), which means that instead of being at 9 scraps, 3 recycled and 1 refined to a Pyro hat, I'm still at 12 scraps, 4 recycled and 2 refined to the same Pyro hat.

In other words, I've sacrificied my quest for hats for the quest of having an item for helping.

I'm waiting for the bar now, for another direct hit, for another dead ringer (crafting them wasn't a problem) and I would have all the weapons that you can get without buying something.

And well, you may know that Valve is giving medals for people. Well apparently, I'm a silver player despite being hired the 22 december 2007. For Valve, you have to be in the 3 months of release. And they're saying 17th september 2007... But I'm sorry but the Orange Box was released in Europe around october 2007... So, where is the fairness in it? I couldn't play before because my laptop couldn't handle the game.

I'm still qualified for a golden medal with my release time. I'm a veteran from 2007 yet, they're giving me a silver medal.

I'm perhaps bitching about it but in reality, I'm not wearing it, I mean, it's a stupid item just for showing around approximatively since when you're playing it. I don't need it. I've been on Steam since december 2004 - I've bought the Orange box in 2007 when it was released and began to play TF2 in december 2007, which is more important than having a medal.

Anyway, these damn developers at Valve are always sucking when it comes to updates like that: problems with server, problems with characters, some days of floating things you know or you don't know - In definitive, each update is bringing me panic of: what will not work? They're better at announcing things which is a pleasure to follow than to actually play the day of the update - it's always full of bugs and the pleasure is broken - unfortunately, I need to play the first day for the future help and the guide.

And what about PKV 2, that mod? I'm less a failure, I'm now reassured because my special attack works, 'cause I've finally managed to get kills as a Berserker and that I've managed to get another winning achievements with many loosers one. I'm still lagging when two people are killing me at the same time, I'm still lagging as shit with powder kegs and I'm experimenting a worse lag on sandstorm but I'm a parrot killer with spear or longbow, I've killed more than 100 parrots, I've done three kills without dying (they're asking for five though for the achievement), I've managed to do my first kill with the pistol as skirmisher (don't look at me like that, TF2 is way better for that) and at my own dismay, I can't be a good pirate, I'm better as a Knight (Heavy Knights or Archer). Greeeaaaaat! Anyway, I'm getting more kills and points, i'm at 10% for the 1000 points of Knight and nearly reaching 10 000 for the million. What? You would see me playing, you'll understand that it's a miracle.

Enough now, I've nearly taken 20 - 30 minutes for this post... It's my lunch time, so...

I'm good when it comes to TF2 but when it comes to PVK II, I'm a total failure. It's reminding me that I'm bad when it comes to melee. The only class I'm good to when I'm not surrounded by five players when I'm respawning (which is unfair, I wished we have safe points at least) is the archer and guess why? Because of my numerous kills with Huntsman when a player is annoying me with bombs or anything else when I'm monitoring the server I'm admin of.

It was a good training and now, I can say that I'm scoring more than with a sword, a damn pistol without so many ammo or the rifle. I'm still being with scores under 10 (I've managed to do a 12 once) but I'm a beginner... And I've managed to get kills with swords yesterday (or with a spear as Viking).

I'm good to kill parrots though. And guess what? Where I couldn't get the first kill as scout on TF2 for achievement, I did it with a powder keg as pirate on an arena map... Don't ask me how but well, I did it.

And I managed to stay alive in an arena round as well as my team... I think I'm progressing in my skill... Hey, I've managed to kill a Berserker during his Berserk rage. And I've also managed to pin someone from a long distance (thanks Huntsman). You understand that I got achievement I thought I would never have. And I got also the humiliating one (parrot dieing in the first second, 10 deaths without a single enemy killed, etc.).

I even got the Graal once... Yeah, I don't know how but I did it. I was surprised and didn't know what I had to do. So I ran following my team...

I've also being back to playing indie games like Ben Jordan, Barn Runner, etc.. You can see that I've submitted two profiles, so...

Expect soon some new faqs, I'm needing them for my lunch break, at least, I can do some formatted faqs :D.

I'm also asking you to get a look to them, whether they're in French or in English for the visual aspect. I know I've revamped some of them but I still need to know if what I'm doing is looking good (Red told me yes but well, if he was saying no, it would be strange :)).

Expect an update of my review and faqs soon. Apart that, don't have time for you apart that this week, I've decided to play Pirates, Vikings and Knights 2 and that I'm nearing a pyro hat on tf2.

Okay so, as I've got a stage for six weeks beginning the 12th April, I'm afraid that Neo will wait again before being fully functionnal (it doesn't mean that I'll not be from time to time here, Thursday till Sunday I'm home).

One of the reasons I'm not passing apart trying to formatting my TF2 faq is Team Fortress 2. I'm just taking my free time on it because I didn't get my hours on it during the evening and I'm making sure to make the server I'm admin of turing in the good road.

Besides, I would have been active this week (apart days where I was at the center) if I didn't get on my birthday (29th March - I'm 27 now) my favorite hat, aka, the Fancy Fedora. Result: I'm being now impatient to receive anything else.

Because I crafted my Fro with a camera beard, which results in an hatless Engi, which I crafted with a second beard, which results in the Tough Guy's torque, or something like that. Better than anything else, still, no Fedora. And the next day... Fedora in my backpack.

Also the same day, I got two pain trains, new community weapons and yesterday, I got the sledgehammer, aka, the homewrecker. So, as you can see, I'm in the hype of my Fedora and the fact that I didn't wait so long to get another hat with the dropping system or new weapons, so, I'm being kinda a hoping girl to get anything else.

And well, I can confess it: I'm not tired to taunt to see my Fedora on my head.

Anyway, you should see soon my TF2 faq, in the formatted version, I've just two or three things to complete...

And with some luck, I'll come back to Neoseeker for the C64 and TG16 (and iPhone) sections. I've also some box scans to submit and I've still some FAQs to convert.

Anyway, now, I've learned PHP, I've basic knowledge in XML and I've asked a place to follow lessons for Wordpress (2 days) and for publishing audio stuff (2 days).

Which means that the little Vic with her degree in archaelogy (and two other diplomas) is now becoming a web developer/designer with something else than HTML, Java bases, SQL bases and Javascript bases. You'll say that it's already something to know some public static void Main{int a; a=1; etc;} or some SELECT * FROM table where id="" or some <a href> but I can tell you that now, I can do echo "<html>", include)(tools.inc.php); or some mysql_connect.

In other words, I'm still a beginner but with more languages in my pocket.

And I've some games to review in the casual world. I want to review 1912: Titanic Mystery (I've bought the french version without knowing it) which happens to be one of the first games I've submitted when I was back on Neo near November 2009.

As much as I love being in Neo, there are some days I'm not really willing to be on it. The past two days were kinda spent in doubt, melancoly and the fact that I'm feeling I'm nowhere in my life, which is just a result of the past stress with a grandma in the hospital, of the stress to find a stage and the stress of what I'd be at 30 years (I'm nearing 27).

Meh, it's reminding me the bad past years when I wasn't feeling good in my own head because of an hormonal disruption.

Anyway, it could be also because I'm in a period of converting FAQs. I said to Redemption that I wasn't planning to convert my old FAQs into a formatted one but I was meaning that those who are big, Doom 3 or Painkiller... I can't do it. I'm converting some CSI FAQs (and Legendary), yeah, the French ones. I'm just being a little perplex with the line break. GameFaqs isn't messing up with, sometimes, Neo isn't respecting the line break, forcing me to use the + tag for it.

Anyway, I've finally managed to advance in NFS: Prostreet on DS, I've beaten that music challenge in one of the hubs - for being stuck into another one :(. Why can't it be always "Boys wanna be her"? It's soooooo simple to tap A, B, X or Y. In where I'm stuck now, it's messing up my head because you do X, B, A, Y, A, B, X, X, Y, X, Y, X, Y, B, Y, A, Y, A or something similar.

Something for sure: ProStreet isn't really as fun as the other NFS. If I'm stuck in NFSU 2, it's not a problem, it's a great game, Most Wanted was kinda inferior but still... Own the City was having interesting races with a great soundtrack, Undercover was varied but ProStreet, no thanks.

Uhm yeah, when I think about Portal, apart the cake is a lie, that part of Still Alive is in my mind.

With the fuss about the new achievement, I played Portal again which earned me a comment of : "you play something else than TF2? Waaaaaw!". I got the same comment when I played the trial of Mystery P.I. - Lost in LA but I want to kindly remind people that I'm primary a player of FPS in single player and that I'm a fan first of Half-Life and Portal.

Anyway, I got the achievement not without crying about my game lagging now when it was fine before (don't tell me it's the new graphic card who is more powerful than the ancient one!!!!!!) and without having the need to begin a french walkthrough.

Anyway, I've begun to play NFS: Undercover on DS, it's really a great game!

But all that great ranting was just for what will follow: another developer studios is on Neoseeker. And for not being surprised, it's an iPhone one. And I happened to have added their game saturday. And I don't think they were already on Neo before. It's not preventing me to continue to support the iPhone section but... I'm feeling uneasy because I added the profile and if that I made a mistake (probably doing a lot with a device like iPhone but trying to avoid the mistakes anyway), they would be... I don't know but you see the general feeling.

Anyway, I'm letting you, have to shower and have to clean house (and to uninstall a game that I just reviewed).

If you remember correctly, I've begun to add more games for the Sega CD/Mega CD which was kinda forgotten. So, well, I've added all that I can - excluding import games apart for some of them - with resources, minipics and boxshots when I could find good ones. I can move to Game Gear, C64 and TG-16 now. When I thought I wanted to go back to the Saturn list after finishing the SEGA CD, well, it's not for now.

Some games are still missing but I let you the great task to add them, I've done a good part for it, so now, it's your turn if you want.

Anyway, I want to thank MobyGames and GameFaqs for their precious lists of titles, it was very useful for Neoseeker section.

So guys, if you doesn't know it yet, the Commodore 64 and TG-16 sections are up. For the young generation of gamers, these two platforms were active back during the 80'-90'. Despite being born in 1983, I don't really remember these platforms, apart the name of C64. I do remember however everything with PC: DOS, Windows 3.1 and everything from Nintendo/Sega.

Anyway, don't forget the Game Gear section, who is the handheld released by Sega and who was the most serious rival for the Game Boy.

And also, stay tuned for the iPad section, who is still under construction.

Red or Tek, if you're reading this, I thought that the problem of alphabetical lists (clicking on a letter and directed to an error page) would be solved after the night but apparently, C64 and TG16 are still having the problem. I had reported the problem for Game Gear but it has disappeared after the night (if Red remember the report). Can you do something about that? I've added at least 10 games in C64 and I can't access some of them apart from the CRS. For the others, I'm just warning you that there are still little errors due to the settlement of a new section, so, don't panick like me :).
vicrabb blogged

Just for people not knowing it, Neoseeker added four new platforms in its database.

Among these, three retro plaftorm, in which one of them was at that time the only serious rival for the GameBoy, the Game Gear from Sega.

For now, only Game Gear is showing and some of us (including me), added some titles to the database. If you want to contribute, you can find a list on GameFaqs (with official description) or on MobyGames (with advertising blurbs, also official ones).

The two others are the COMMODORE 64 and the TURBOGRAPHX-16 (eventually CD).

The final platform will be in your stores during March and it's the iPad.

I'm just profiting to continue to help me mainly for the iPhone section :).

Yeah, I still find time to contribute to Neoseeker with my lessons for being a web developper and while I'm making the iPhone section grow with titles I wouldn't add a year ago, I've learned that some of these are finding a way to the iPad, the new gadget from Apple, which is expensive - I'm not interested in but clearly, you must have money for it.

The iPad isn't even out (or just out, depending on the continent you're living) that already, video games developers are announcing games: Eliminate Pro from Ngcomo, Need for Speed Shift, NOVA or Super Monkey Ball 2. If some of these titles are multiplatform, they're also all in the iPhone games database. And I wouldn't be surprised to see some guitar hero/tap tap revenge alike or some Peggle/GTA/Spore/NFL/NBA/MADDEN/FIFA/PGA soon on iPad.

I'm asking myself a question: Neo doesn't have an iPod Touch section for a lot of reasons but will Neo have an iPad section? It will depend on the popularity of the device, I guess. I still think that Neo should have a Game Gear section because I remember the war of handheld between Sega and Nintendo, before Sony comes with Playstation and I was feeling that GG was more important than Sega CD.

Anyway, if Neo gets an iPad section, I know a certain contributor that will send a loooooot of profiles....*looking innocent*.

I got my first hat two days ago. Well, I would say I got the camera beard first but is it really an hat? No, I should perhaps change it in my guide when I'll continue it when Valve will finally make the achievements go right.

I got my first hat. Hats came during the Spy vs Sniper in May. And I was still hatless - except for the Cheater's Lament given by Valve for honest players, the Gibus which I could get during Halloween with an achievement and the Mask which was also like the Gibus during the same period -.

So, it's not really my first hat. But it's my first dropped hat. I mean, one you can't get like that.

I'm thanking Santa Valve for that gift. But uhm, not so thankful....

After months of waiting, I'm happy to see that I got one of the first hats to be released back in May. But well, Santa Valve, I've written that I wanted a Fedora for Spy. At least, it's not Chicken Gloves or Beanie for Pyro. But still, the Afro for Demoman wasn't in my wanted list.

Don't say I'm not satisfied, I'm wearing the Afro now. It looks good on me, like the beard with Gibus on my Spy. So, as you can see, I'm happy to see that it was finally time to get an hat, I was beginning to think that I would never get one. Strange for a daily player since 2007 with a break of 9 months.... for studies, guys, I still have to find the right man for what can last 9 months....

Anyway, I want also to thank Intoxication - you'll be always Earli to me - for his effort to help me to build the iPhone section. At least, there are some games who were in my "list" to be added and who were submitted by him.
Thanks you!

Happy New Year if I don't post until then.

Valve patched the problem that made me loose my equalizer when I should have got it. Now, it's done, I can do achievements with it... well, at least, those which aren't bugged. But... big problem, I lost 100 000 damage done during the week when it was patched. Don't ask me how or why, it's just that Tartan Spartan is another 1 million blast damage achievement (after Pyromancer for Pyro and Chief of Staff for Medic) and by definition, a annoying one to do.

So I'm only missing Gore-a! - hard to know when you have 3 body parts -, Ain't got time to bleed - bugged -, Near Death Experience - bugged -, Medals of Honor - 5/10 with bots on my own server - and Tartan Spartan - the million for Demoman -.

I've made Geneva Contravention with bots on my server, I nearly made it a first time if I hadn't left click at 0.00 of time. A bot was Pyro and I got... burnt. Yeaaaaaah!

These achievements are just hard because it's involving some rocket jump and sticky jump. If the former is easy to do, the latter is kinda difficult. Besides, try to play normally and to get 5 players to kill during humiliation time. Or try also to kill someone airbone when you're not used to these jumps...

Anyway, as usual, the majority of my achievements (75%) were done on empty servers with friends and we had some good time to figure how to do some (I prefer achievement server with bots for the 1K kills for example, even if my 1k kill as pyro or the 1k kill from general achievements or anything else related to pyro/medic/heavy were done during fights - apart some achievements I was sure not to have).

But my game keeps crashing and I'm not the only one to have that problem. Now I just hope that the bugged achievements will be patched - always answering that that one is bugged to people is annoying.

vicrabb blogged

Uhm, yeah, worse update ever for technical problems. Didn't I say that about spy vs sniper?

Anyway, as usual, you have the update problems with servers or repetitive crashs.

And with the novelty of the dear crafting, combined to a free weekend, you have some servers problems connection. Which means, well, if you've been take in this loadout bug, your unlockables that you've earned during it are... lost. Yeah, that's what happened with my equalizer, the pickaxe for soldier. Fortunately, I've got the rest, so... I'm not like a lot of you that didn't get any weapons.

Add also that some achievements are bugged (nearly all with equalizer, gore-a, gore-a, gore-a, shorn connery in some servers, loch ness bomber in some servers, mutually assured destruction in some servers, etc;) and some unlocked in the wrong way.

I'm explaining:

You have some that you need to taunt after killing someone, with freezecam shot (respawn time mandatory). I got the one with the smiley for demoman (taunt of grenade launcher) by doing the bottle taunt. And I got the one with scottish resistance by taunting with grenade launcher... when i wasn't even having the required weapons in my backpack (I wasn't even having a milestone, that is unlocking weapons).

I got the sticky thump one (3 dead in 3 separate explosion with scottish resistance) by doing double mauled scotch (kill 2 people in a sticky jump). I got the former but not the latter. I got it on achievement server I'm admin of (it wasn't updated during the day but in the evening).
Search the error.

As for mutually assured destruction, you have to kill a sniper with rocket when he killed you. If you prefer, kill him while you're dead. It's the same for pyro's fire and forget and for sniper's I don't remember the name. It's possible to do them on achievement server I'm admin of despite the instant respawn: you need to be killed quickly and that's why the spy is useful (we have bots in reality, so I kill someone killing the bot, having the godmode is useful when you need to do it with a pyro in a lagging spawn full of people).

But here, nothing. Nada. Niente. Niet. RIEN DU TOUT! And we saw it unlocked without a sniper kill. We have a sniper bot, but they're not firing or taunting or anything else.

You do know how I've unlocked it? By rocketjumping in the bots line (and laaaaaag), sending rocket and killing the sniper bot in the same time I'm dieing from my jump. The bot didn't kill me, I killed the bot, I killed myself and it was unlocked. Don't ask me the why Valve is letting do that but I suppose it's a bug from their part. I don't say they need to patch it but at least, let the kill in the same second on instant respawn on. It would be better than rocket jumping in a line of bots.

Apart that, the weapons are great so...

Stay tuned for another post...

PS: I got a second banner buff by the usual drop of weapons but I'm still missing my equalizer. Valve is working on a patch but search the error....

Okay, now, I'm kinda worrying about the casualties. I mean, the Demomen are close to claim victory if the Soldiers aren't paying attention. 14 000 difference? I suspect Valve to make it more intense as they saw the Soldiers with a 200 000 difference the second day of the war.

Anyway, I'm sad 'cause achievements are revealed and that I can't do guesses. I was expecting it though, as it's tomorrow for me and today for America that the update goes live.

The last weapons are revealed: the Scottish Resistance, a new sticky launcher that seems very interesting for me as you can detonate group of stickies and not everything. The Equalizer seems only a pickaxe that allows you to be hit for having more speed and harder hits. As the Buff Banner or the Banner Buff, you have a rage meter. When it's full... well, you can sound a war cry with a buggle. And people gathering around you will be given mini-crit for 14 seconds. It's the weirder item I've seen in TF2. The Eyelander and the Chargin' Targe were already weird but that Banner Buff is just winning the award of the "weirder weapon" for me.

Apart that, well, I'll go read achievements and try to imagine how to do it on the achievement server I'm admin of. Or the ones I'll do alone... Mmmm, I've seen one with a grenade exploding sentries without seeing... mmmm... perhaps in water.... yeah, that's a good thing... in water.

Oh oh, we will have a deadly grenades taunt...

Well, after the Demo yesterday, Valve got us a Soldier insight today. And whaaaaaat an update...

Yes, I'm kinda hungry right now because I was expecting something else and not a new Rocket Launcher. Yeah, well, everyone was expecting that no? Okay, so act surprised and hear what I've got to tell you if you're not following TF2 Blog or GameGrep.

That new rocket launcher is having 70% less blast radius damage... but its destructive force for a direct hit is 25% more (remind me not to use it when I help for Hotshot and Crock Block) and 80% faster. Yeah, apparently, everything related to speed is increased in this update. The good news is that it will be easier for me when helping for Blast Assist (Medic must uber a Soldier who will kill 5 players in a single charge) but when it will be Crock Block (an Heavy must survive to a critical rocket) and Hotshot (a Pyro must deflect a critical rocket and kill the soldier sending it with it), it will be hard. Think about all the Pyros that aren't mastering the airblast. Trust me, it will be a bloody mess. But for playing? I'm kinda a bad soldier because I'm trying to do direct hits. Which is why that weapon is interesting me, more than the Eyelander for example.

Why do you think it's called the Direct Hit?

Apart that, discover the Soldier in his environment in the comic, buy war bonds (aka Valve Store or Come here, it's Christmas, you need a gift) or pre-load TF2 if you don't have it because it's another round of free weekend, which means a lot of new players and which means a lot of explanation on how TF2 can work. I'm still surprised to see people not knowing that weapons on the ground are ammo.

Yesterday, a Steam friend of mine asked me if he has done an achievement for soldier/demo before it's out, it will be counted. Well, for all of you who will be the first class update, it's no. It's not counting because the achievements are only "counting" when they're installed and when you're beginning to do them.

When I came back to TF2 one year ago, I've asked myself the question when I saw the three updates I've missed. But I answered myself: If it was the case, I would have some achievements unlocked since I've played TF2 BEFORE the whole class update. That's really useful to be a player since the Orange Box...

Oh yead, apparently, the update for Demoman has motivated the troopers because they're slowing closing the gap between them and the Soldiers. It's a matter of 100 000 deads as difference. But Soldiers are still leading for the victory. I doubt that the new rocket launcher will be motivating...

My war contribution is still low: 499 demomen for 3 soldiers. The update for me is in two days (European Time unfortunately) and as you can see, I'm not really trying to have a high kills.

pc gaming related team fortress 2

Demoman is a warrior. Demoman will have a sword and a shield. No, no, I'm not mistaken with the Sniper.

Apparently, the unlockables will be kinda... Highlander-like. The question is... Is this the extra weapon? Because in the comic (where we learn his name and we see his mom - Valve loves Moms -), it's kinda hinted as this.

Anyway, the Eyelander is a sword... haunted unfortunately. Which means that you'll loose health. But every time you're slicing someone, you'll get health and speed. Combined with the Chargin' Targe, you'll get a goooooood critical hit.

But uhm, is the Chargin' Targe a melee weapon? Apparently, no. It would be in place of the stickies launcher. If I understood well, it's making you more resistant to fire and to blast damage. And also, you can have a speed boost.

Apart that, Solly is still 200 000 behind Demo. Tomorrow, we'll probably get a soldier inside.

vicrabb blogged

Okay now Valve, you got me interested in your update. Because I can finally do something of my duplicates instead of deleting them.

But first, check the casualty update: Soldier is clearly taking the lead now: 2 800 000 dead soldiers for 3 000 000 demomen. Oh I don't claim victory for soldier (even if I'm in his "army" - not a really good partner but still) but if it's always increased of 100 000 casualties compared to the old number, it can be good. Remember, yesterday, it was a difference of 100 000. Today, it's 200 000. Will it be 300 000 tomorrow?

Also, Valve is offering us a comic with Saxton Hale, well at least the continuation of the comic with The Administrator. Not really important for me.

And crafting? About what I've understood, you can create your weapon if you're combining well the duplicates (or the original items or the hats)... or you'll get scrap of metal.

Apart that, nothing new about weapons or anything else.

Yeah, yeah, the achievement server I'm admin of was full of people killing bots (without even thinking that it wasn't counting) and people killing each other (at least, they were making their contribution). The problem was to let people doing achievements in peace: try to say that to a pyro burning everyone after being killed by idiots camping the spawn - despite my warnings and my demands to battle in the middle of the map -. The result is some kicking. Add also that I choose to be soldier and only killing red demomen (because I'm always in the bot team - people need more helpers in that one than in their teams) and that I get out of godmode for that (but get in when I'm needed or when people are stealing the kills of the demomen - generally, they're happy to play with me because I'm respecting them: they want melee, I melee, they don't want to be killed, I avoid them). Trust me, godmode is really necessary when you're managing an achievement server - at least, I help faster and I don't scream every two seconds not to kill me.

But today, it was less... I've managed to help more people, which is good for me.

Anyway, there were more demos killed than soldiers and the numbers are really high in my opinion: more or less 1 400 000 soldiers for 1 500 000 demomen. I've seen more soldiers on the server than demomen and a lot of people are already betting on soldier's victory.

We do know that the double update (again) is for the 17th december.

Also, there is a propaganda contest: the best poster will be given a reward: an item with your name. I'm not entering it because it's not something I'm interested in.

Just for you to know: TF2 menu is having as background the demo/soldier facing each other and you can follow the news directly with the war hub. So, it's easier to access the blog ingame.

My count is 2 soldiers killed (for testing) and more than 200 demomen. As you can see, I'm not really having an high count, I'm sure I'm among people having a low one, so, I'm not obssesed by this war. It's perhaps funny but I find it also stupid as it's war everywhere, everyone is taken in it, even when not wanting or when doing anything else.

How will be this week? Apart Monday where I'm going to an oral exam for a job, I'll be sure to tell you my impressions on the update. When the update will be done on the 18th for me (don't look at me like that, Valve is always doing the update during the early morning of the day after the official day when you're living in Europe), I'll be probably doing some achievements on a listened server, waiting to have the achievement server updated before joining it.

I didn't want an update before Christmas because I've just managed to find the will to continue my guide (a double update is hard to write but I think that Facebook was also in the middle - oh yeah, it's been a month since I've gone to Facebook for real gaming). And I'm certainly happy not to have the update now, I was sick and it would have made me mad to miss it.

Stay tuned for the weapons and hopefully, the achievements list with the "guess the achievement with the icon".

PS: Dear Santa Claus, give me a meet the Pyro or meet the Medic as a gift, they're my main class (despite what the hours can say: I'm still a fail scout and spy despite more than 200 hours as it... managing the server).

PSS: Also a Fedora if possible.

Uhm, well, if you noticed, I didn't connect for three days. I didn't even start my computer and I'm just feeling weird to hit again the keyboard.

Remember my eye and bad cold?

It was a conjunctivitis linked to the fact that I was having in reality pharyngitis.

Don't look at me like that, I couldn't know that I was already turning into a walking sickness. I was trying to cure my cold BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT IT TO BE A PHARYNGITIS.

Flashback. When I was younger (before my eighteenth birthday), I was always having that disease, sometimes turning worse. So you understand that when I'm catching a cold, my fear is to have the sickness.

Well, that year, I had it.

And friday, it was the first day of the rest. I didn't sleep, I didn't eat (a little), I didn't drink (a little) and I was a walking zombie.

Couldn't connect to Neo. Was too tired. Was too cold. Was really in need of sleep.

Saturday, it was the same as Friday with a little improvement: I've eaten, I was feeling better but still, I needed to sleep and my eye was burning with the medication I've been given.

Sunday, it was better but still, I had an hammer in the head, I was also sleepy and I couldn't help but worrying about my teeth that began to hurt (I need a dentist, it's been three years I've checked them).

Today, I managed to sleep a little during the night, I did the same during the morning but no headache, no burning eye, no feeling of being a zombie, well, I managed to connect to Neo even if I'll probably not play or contribute, after all, I'm only feeling really better now.

I just hope to be at 100% for next week because I'll need to go out for something.

Just pray that I don't fall again into the annoying process of sickness. Because I really hate feeling like that. And I don't see myself to be a walking zombie just when Christmas is nearly here. I've already missed Saint Nicolas - even if I don't believe in him anymore - (see Sinterklaas), I don't want to miss Christmas.

My cold is still there but it's better. But why should I see a doctor? I'm not having the flu but yesterday, something was bothering my eye, so I touched it without finding an hair, an eyelash or anything else.

The result was that I had a red eye, I was crying and it was very great to wake up with eyelashs nearly glued at each other.

My mom decided that I should see a doctor because my eye was still red and because my eyelid was now the double size compared to yesterday.

When I could get up (when my dog was calmed down after her epileptic crisis), the first reflex was to see myself in a mirror.

Ohh maaaaaaaaan.

Wrong idea.

It's really scary to see that.

A cold + back hurting as a result + red eye = Vic who doesn't know how she will survive till the doctor appointement. I'm really worried right now because I fear to have another surprise with my health. It's not the moment to have a body in bad condition. Really not.

Like everyone who is sick, I just wish to be at the end of that.

PS: I still can see, I don't feel pain in my eye but I can feel a certain heaviness on it. I can play (I've done with DS) but I can't really focus on games or on Neo or on MG or on anything else.

I'm having a bad cold. Throat is hurting, my nose is completely blocked and I don't sleep well. The results is that I'm nearly a zombie, that my back is hurting (and I'm afraid to be stuck like I've been a couple of times).

I've managed to contribute for Neo yesterday but I'm not really in the mood to do it today. I mean, I prefer to immerse myself in CSI: Deadly Intent - PC - or in Rogue Spear (GBA) or reading a book about the Waffen-SS.

I'm also wondering if I'll not begin to review historical books, perhaps in English, perhaps in French, I don't know. I'll do it here, on my blog because I'm not sure that some of them are known.

Well, I'm going back to playing or at least, something that will make me forget that I'm sick.

Understand me, I know that I didn't lost my top 3 in NeoPoints or Contributions: it's not in five months that I would have been thown down unless a new "me" came on Neo.

But when I see now the multiple classement... I'm again in some of them without even me knowing that.

Judge it: top five in the Neo Points earned in 24h/day/weeks/overall, first for the most FAQ's authored for the month (CSI: Miami, New York and DI (DS)) without forgetting that I'm trying to finish Max Payne GBA, top ten in the most user review authored...

Uhm, well, I swear guys, I never noticed these classements and I'm feeling bad for those who were always in the first places or even the first place seeing that suddenly, a crazy contributor is coming back like a hurricane...

Apart from that, I've updated Farmville since Wolfwood approved the profile and I hope that Hao Asuka (sorry if I'm spelling your username wrongly) isn't bothered by the fact that I've improved his/her background or gameplay. Also, it was just a coincidence that I was already having a first review of Farmville on my blog, which means that I've done a copy/pasting/updating/inserting screens review.

Also, I've done a test by editing BJ 1 review with inserting screens (see my gallery if you want to see the pics). I never expected that small review (because it was a small game and because I was back to reviewing for a small time) look good with my screens. See it here: https://www.neoseeker.com/Games/Products/PC/ben_jordan_1/userreviews.html?reviewid=32909

If someone can remind me the tags to put for the url, I would be happy.

Also, it's the first I've seen a developer studios complete a profile I've submitted for the iPhone... Trust me, I was surprised to see that!

I'm going back to Max Payne GBA, I really need to finish some FAQs.

Well, I'm still searching for a job and today, I've taken the train for a written exam. It's always the same thing: up very soon, trying to take the good ride, change at a station you don't know and finally arrive in a town you know only of name...

I'm not idiot. I've prepared my papers: the train timetable, the different stops, the plan of the road from the station to the place I need to go...

Why am I hating days like this? Certainly not for the train ride, I've take a book about the '44 invasion seen from a German's view (understand D-Day and Overlord), so, during the return, it was nice to relax.

What I hate the most is that my day is disturbed. I'm sleeping during the afternoon (which I hate), I'm being reluctant to go on my computer and to contribute or to play (which helped me btw to make the winning step against FB addiction), well, if you prefer, I'm not in a mood that I would qualify of good. Don't mistake me, it's just that I'm not feeling well... Add to the fact that tuesday, I've done the same thing but in my town (no need of train but to walk from the building to my mom's school with a great climb up) and I was only warned about that exam today that evening, which is not contributing of a good mood.

What? No, I don't need a personal car, I mean, well, I hate driving and it's making me more stressful and awfully afraid of confusion with the brake and the accelerator. Add also that it's been 8 years that I didn't touch the driving wheel and you'll understand that I'm not really wanting to have a personal car, well, not until I got a job.

Apart that, I've bought MFC: Millionheir (I found it) and I had fun with it, I've just finished it. Hidden objects and DS can be fun and the translation was really good. Expect a review soon after CSI: DI: Hidden Cases (DS).

Okay, I know, it's not really a high number because I'm sure that a lot of people have more than 2000 profiles but still, I've reached a new milestone today, with a lot of casual games (trying to submit all the sequels), DS (and the usual things I'm not playing: Imagine series for example) and...

iPhone. Yes, iPhone!

iPhone... Strangely, I don't feel stressed when I'm submitting iPhone games, not as it was when the section opened. And I should be worrying about it, I mean, I can honestly say that more than 90% of the profiles in the section were submitted by me.

The strange thing is that nearly nobody is contributing in it... apart the usual members that were already helping me to fill the sections like Vermillion or Intoxication.

Guys, I know you missed me but for the iPhone, don't tell me that because I've tried to give a good base for the section who was poor at the time, you thought that I would be the only one to support it?

Apart that, CSI: NY review is written and submitted. 8 pages in Word.... I was really eager to speak about the new gameplay °_°.... And well, uhm, I honestly think that it's my better review for the CSI series.

Also, I've shyly post a profile in MobyGames concerning the DS version of CSI Deadly Intent, mostly because of my scans.

Just for you: "I was curious to see how the hidden object would take part in the game and I've been concluding one thing: CSI: New York isn't a CSI game anymore, it's been reduced to an average hidden object game. No wonder that Big Fish Games got the right to propose it on its site."

Note that I fell in love with "toss aside" in this review.

Also, I'm nearing the 30 000 contribitions as the 50 000 points. It would mean that I'll enter a very small club of people having 50 000 and more. I can't wait to join them. After all the profiles in the iPhone section, I think I deserve an quarter of hour of glory... in my head :).

NB: If I hear one of you guys saying that my CRS is suddenly full of profiles and you're smirking and enjoying the fact that I'm back, keep it for yourself, you're gonna make me feel more guilty about the so damn Facebook addiction for five months.

Well, I'm not writing a review because I didn't finish the game but I can't help myself to make a comparison with Dark Motives on the same platform.

Dark Motives is perhaps the clone of the PC version but at least, we had some liberties and the reflex to play like on PC for those having already that experience. You were free to choose what you wanted to do, to ask questions by yourself, to choose the tool, etc. etc. It was just missing some music, some hard evidence to collect,...

Here on Deadly Intent, the DS is a collection of four new cases (and I can truly say that it is sufficient when you see some minigames), exclusive to it and not being a clone of the PC. True, when you see what you need to do on PC, what is proposed in DS is more inspired by the mechanics of CSI: NY.

If at least we have some new music, the new team and cartoon graphics that are really good, I'm just having some negative points. Indeed, some music are just coming from Miami and Dark Motives... Given the fact that I finished Miami and DM PC last week... As for getting the evidence, they're easy to spot (because of a changing cursor) but you don't really have a liberty in your tool: you just have to choose between three maximum and well, apart some obvious mistakes from my part (because I didn't read the describing part), it's not really fine. I mean, I remember the three different tools for prints and it was fine to make mistakes. Here, pick the wrong tool and your evaluation at the end is already silver instead of gold.

And I don't speak about minigames: you don't have liberty in the lab. Hodges is taking the place of Sanders and if it can be useful not to analyze all the proofs, sometimes, you wish that Hodges isn't saying a word at all evidence you're trying to sort. Minigames can be fun like the molecular reconstitution but please the ADN puzzle is just being TOO hard. Not only it's a sort of 3D image but you have also to turn around the part you're holding. It's taking time, nearly impossible to depict in words and it's just being consuming the hope you had for a golden star for analysis. Just because you have to be fast for some puzzles...

A new feature - not really a new one as the other games on PC were having an option for presenting by yourself evidence to the suspects but here, in DI, it's a mandatory passage - is also present: just showing evidence when the suspect is lying. And well, you don't have a choice. You have to follow what people is saying. It can be long sometimes and I don't speak about the numerous times I've made a mistake because two things in your hand could be the right proof.

And if I add the fact that you can't skip movies or even the dialogues outside everything (apart to use your stylus for that) and the fact that it's really frustrating to always pass by the phone>GPS for going to the lab instead of having a way to go directly there...

You're not even free to go where you want: when a scene is clear, it's shown and if you need to come back for anything else, well, the game will say: go there (because the V in green disappeared).

So, as you can see, I'm nearly saying that the new CSI DI isn't as good as DM and that I'm just missing my old way of doing my CSI adventure like in DM. Despite its defaults, DM was easier to handle and less frustrating for the locations, for the ADN analysis, for a lot of things in reality. Some will like it but a lot of us will hate it for its numerous dialogues, its movie that can't be skipped, etc. etc..

Anyway, I'm going to do the third case and continue to write the walkthrough in French (sorry guys but you know that it's hard for me to write it in English even when it's English speaking with subtitles - here the game is totally in French).

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell: I've contributed and approved some stuff yesterday. It was really great to find again the approver reflex... but I'm doing it slowly :).

Don't look at me like that, I've finally bought the last CSI game for PC... and DS. Yeah, I know, putting 54 euros for two games that will perhaps not be as good as Hard Evidence is a lot but at least, I've box scans, another reason to write FAQs and...

Uhm... well, perhaps trying to get back to the old way of playing CSI. Don't get me wrong, CSI: New York is interesting for the graphics, the music and a new way of playing but well, I'm wondering if Telltale wouldn't have done better than Legacy Interactive... I'm still NOT having my golden star for analysis - labo, despite having done the right thing (according to Gamezebo - No, I'm not following their walkthrough, I'm playing without looking, only when I've finished a case and compared notes with it for the future .txt file which will appear on Neo, GF and Supercheats). And I've just noticed that the French version is having slight differences with the original game. I'm currently at case 4 (not started), because today I was too lazy to play - more interested in the book Ravensbrük written by Germaine Tillion, a French resistant that was deported there. And then, you can't imagine how it's boring to take notes while playing, something I'm doing ONLY after a play and not immediately during it. But hey, it's always better to know what you're doing with CSI: NY because of some features. Unfortunately for you guys, only French speaking people will read the FAQ I'm putting so much effort to release. I wasn't really aware that nobody did an English walkthrough for GF or Neo when there are some passages where it should be welcomed. The fact that for French, you don't have a lot isn't surprising but in English? I'm so used to rely on English guides that I was kinda disappointed that nobody apart GZ took the time to do something. Yeah I know, it's more visual than the other games...

Anyway, I've just sent my review of CSI: Miami. I've never been so much talktative for a CSI game (*is just being amazed of the poorness of her previous reviews*), which is kinda worrying me. Usually, I'm not really saying a lot. Don't get me wrong: I'm glad to see that I didn't really loose my writing but well, being so talktative after five months of disappearing is... weird.

I just hope that the review will be approved soon - I don't approve myself for that field and it's the only one I'm not doing it -.

Oh, already 00.31 AM for me, without playing TF2, well, it's not happening often. Hell to that, I've been into achievements and hats for the past days, I deserve my break!

Just a taste of the CSI: Miami review: "It's not because you have two or three novelties that the gameplay changed. No, it's still the same thing with the same sense of restricted freedom in the lab, already felt at that time, before playing the next games. The gameplay is correct but you would have expected perhaps something else for Miami (after all they did it with NY but nearly five years after and with a different developer)."

vicrabb blogged

Why the enthusiasm? Because I've finally updated my Achievement guide for TF2. I wasn't really in the mood for doing it when Spy vs Sniper was out and with FB, well, it has taken time to say to me "well, now, it's time to get order in it: Halloween is out, SvS is out since May, an achievement for Scout changed, new maps and new modes were out and perhaps you should add a section about hats as there are a looooot now".

I'm working on it since Saturday and I've finally managed to do the Sniper AND the Spy today with some information added or removed for the other classes.

Well, now that the thing is settled, I'm going back to CSI: NY game. Can I just strangle Legacy Interactive? Between hard minigames that shouldn't be so hard and the fact that despite doing everything right, some stuff aren't triggered in a good way.... Well, anyway, I'm going back to do again the second case for at least having a Gold Star at the end of it. The first try isn't always good....

Anyway, the walkthrough for the first case is written....

It's good to write FAQs again.

Bye,

Vic

Don't look at me like that: I just wasn't in the mood for that game. But I've managed to write some parts during the year that passed and I've finished the fourth and fifth cases yesterday and today. The FAQ - in French - is submitted, just need to find words for the review...

At least, it's better and more accurate that the French walkthrough at one of the most known sites in my language. Not only it's better to read because it's not a text (but different sections) but also, it's not with false information. I'm always making sure of that.

Also, I've also continued Doom 3 and I still need to update the achievement guide for TF2 with spy, sniper and halloween. If only it wasn't a double update and if only it wasn't out during my FB addiction...

Now, I can truly play CSI: NY, now that I've finished what I considered as a condition sine qua non for making eventually a walkthrough.

Also, I hope to find a retail copy for Dreamkiller (the Painkiller clone) and Painkiller Resurrection (that is apparently worse than Overdose but I want to try it) and eventually do a guide like I've done for Painkiller, BooH and Overdose (I don't know why but I'm smelling some copy/paste for Resurrection -_-').

Anyway, I've discovered a new game on FB and well, it is really good - I'm in my WWII period, that's why!.

I've also bought a series of 8 DVD on ebay from a professional seller I'm used to with colored archives from the WWII. I don't know why that WWII passion is being stronger now than it was before but anyway, I've spent my euros for that.

I'm just regretting that for the Belgium site, you find a lot of DVD that seem interesting... but only in English and Dutch subtitled... The French counterpart is so small... I can read Dutch and I can listen to English but I prefer something in my language for more accuracy...

Okay, I must do some chores (aka I'll do it later but I want to say why I'm finishing my post) so bye and take care everyone!

Uhm yeah, Arakawa is just amazing... I mean, she's giving a fuuuuulllllll of stuff for Royai fans (and thaaaaaat hug seen in preview.....).

Anyway, that's a good twist of plot, even if I'm waiting for a scanlation. Oh yeah, I forgot, it's the raw that's out and after the cliffhanger (can't wait to see it animated), it's good to see that Riza was still alive after the cut (a medical studend concluded that Riza could live for 15 minutes if she was applying a good pressure on her throat, because it wasn't a blood vessel - the carotid I think - that was "important" in term of instant death) and it's good to see that Mustang got again a scare (after Envy, remeeeeember when he was attacking Riza), well, now, I don't care about Mustang's whereabouts, I got a greeeeeeat scene - I mean, I don't care about what will happen, I just want to see if Arakawa will show us what will happen after the Homuculi/Father's defeat (if there is one). Just a wonder: will Ling be Emperor? Who will be Furher? Grunman (and his crazy idea to give Riza to a future leader, aka Roy)? Oliver Armstrong? Roy Mustant? What will happen between Ed and Winry? Will he eat the pie? And Izumi? Will she have a chance back for a kid? And Al? Will he get back his body? And Rebecca? Will she find a man? And Havoc? Will he walk again? What about Maria and Denny? And Olivier Armstrong? Will she be lonely or...

Uhm, the main question will be for the Royai fan I'm is: Will be Roy and Riza cannon? Because it's really now taking a serious jump to it.

Meh, now,...

I'll let you :).

I've some great documentary to watch about WWII - It's the second time I'm seeing them but I still find it great.

Yeah, Facebook (FB) is beginning to be a real displeasure for me. Not because I get bored by the games but because they're currently changing the layouts, that people with whom I'm playing are suddenly getting a fever of gifts everyday (I can't get under 50 requests, each time I'm reaching 80, the next second, I'm at 91) and that I got disconnected every five minutes yesterday without forgetting that games that aren't slow usually are now a pain in the ass in the speed of loading.

This is just a joke. Getting disconnected is something I hate. Or I have a virus (but my recent scan of monday says no) or FB is getting serious problems. I know that recently, they had some problems but I didn't know that it would become that!

The world of FB seems great but well, for us, users that were used to the old version, we're getting slowly exasperated by the problems.

I've already made disappeared some games like Lil'Farm Life which was a good farming game itself but it was slow at the start and it's not getting better. Farmville is now as slow as Farmtown and is having now code problems without forgetting the new way to accept gift for Mafia Wars who is as ugly as the one for Yoville.

And I can keep going on: Space Wars isn't getting any mission update as Prison Lockdown, Special Forces got an ugly layout, Vampire Wars are full of players attacking you, a level 90, until death when they're level 500, Speed Racing isn't getting new cars, Gang Wars doesn't seem to evolve, Pirates had become good but when you see the requirements for the last tier, it has gotten me worries about my income, Fashion Wars got a pet but in the first days, it was disappearing, Football is just getting boring because as Space Wars, there is no new tier for level 25 and +, Sorority Life is getting slowly boring despite good minigames, Mobsters 2 is becoming a clone of Mobsters and with new missions where you have to cound only on your friends' generosity, Mobsters is getting now new items each day, making you use more the buying of favor points (not in my case though), Nitrous Racing is still as good as ever but well, it 's perhaps the only game I'm regretting not to play it everyday and I can get on.

As for FMA, we"re nearing the release of 101 in Japan and I know that a lot of Royai fans (or not) are waiting for that release, as FMA Brotherhood got the Ep. 30 with Ishbal and oooooog yeeaaaah, they did Riza show her tatoo and we know now that Papa Hawkeye (well her father) is named Berthold.... We also got young Riza and young Roy....

But I can't imagine that they really showed Riza's back without forgetting the two screens about her.... young and adult. And I just noticed that the new anime is making Riza look more feminine than the previous one.

And well we have a great view of Hayate on this episode.... ohhhh dear Hayate, you could be a good avatar with that view.

Yeah Brotherhood is really following the manga line. The first anime was good but too different from the manga. Roy and Riza were known to be in Ishbal but it wasn't clear if they were knowing each other before, Roy killed Winry's parents when it was Scar in the manga, we didn't had Briggs in it (and the badass Olivier Armstrong with her subordinates Miles and Bucaneer).

The opening of that arc is just great because we can see Briggs in it, Roy, Riza and Hughes during Ishbal without forgetting Scar before and after Ishbal.

Riza can't die... I don't know for you but it would make it difficult for me to know that Riza, after saving Roy from his madness, is killed like that... and not in a glorious way. Riza was clearly overpowering Envy (even if she nearly lost the battle) and she is after all someone who told that she couldn't live in a world without Roy. She's perhaps a killer by her actions in Ishbal but she's willing to change the country with Roy, so, no I can't imagine a new Amestris without at least her knowing that they managed to do it (because we can't see the end of FMA on a failure from Ed, Al, Olivier, Roy, Riza, no, it can't be - but who knows with Arakawa).

I'm going back to Facebook, trying to finish what I was doing yesterday when I closed my broswer after another disconnection.

Hello all!

Well, just a word to say that I've been happy to submit profiles again. It's not a lot but I'm taking it easy.

I want also to say that now that I gathered the courage to write here again and to contribute, I plan to do it daily. Perhaps not like before but well, expect more profiles for casual games on PC and perhaps iPhone (but with titles changing every version, it's really hard to follow what is what).

Also, uhm, I'm happy to see that FMA Brotherhood, you know the second season of FMA in the world of anime, season that is finally following the manga line, is really following it. I've seen in an AMV Riza screaming at Lust like in the manga and I think that we're being soon at the chapters looking back in Ishval (more Royainess with young Roy and young Riza).

I can't wait to see Olivier Armstrong animated, and to see Chapters 94-95.

But well, as you may now, Chapter 100 was out and... Arakawa is having a bunch of Royai fans on her back - whether it's for notifying that they're not really happy to see Riza *cough*withaslicedthroat*cough* or for just wanting to see chapter 101 and how it will finish -. Besides, we do know that FMA ending is near (I can't see something else after what is happening and we know that Arakawa was just wanting a manga in more or less 100 chapters) but well, if ONLY FMA WASN'T A MONTHLY MANGA!

Yeah, I already said that with 94 and 95.

Still not reading Naruto even if I know that Madara revealed his ultimate plan. I also know that Kushina Uzumaki appeared in the anime and she's as beautiful as in the manga. Meeeeeeeh, why is she supposed to have died when giving birth to Naruto?

Oh and in music domain, the new Rammstein is out and gooooooooooooood, the song "Pussy" is a pure pleasure.... well, some others are but you know, for Rammstein, nothing can be better than Sonne - my favorite song for all artists. For those that are asking if the new song is about a cat.... uhm, well, sorry but it's more oriented adult than kiddo.

Uhm well, the good news perhaps first?

Well, I'm currently winning my battle against Facebook games addiction. Which means that I could be back on Neo any day now.

The bad news? Well, it's the fact that I'm playing more on TF2 as a result.

I just hate Valve right now and their hats. I can't idle, I need my computer and I can't sleep with it still on.

So, the result is that I'm going on the server I'm admin and I'm helping and cleaning it. Which means that I'm kinda playing instead of idling.

Fortunately, it's getting less in the day since a few days... but I'm reading more now on WWII and I'm just refreshing my mind on JAVA with a book and I plan to read about PHP 5 and XML.

True, I needed a break of Neo but now, I just want to get back to contributing (if the contribution form wasn't making me a bad surprise for the second time in four months, just when I'm trying to get back to Neo).

Well, for now, I need to check Facebook - I didn't say that I was completely out of addiction - but for some games, it's been two weeks I didn't visit. I must have lost a loooooot of skill ranking in Vampire Wars and I can't imagine my farm on Farmtown.

But now, I'm feeling better without going daily on Facebook. You can't imagine how it can be addicting and stealing of your time, mainly when you have a bunch of people sending you everyday for every game a gift.

I think that what saved me was... TF2 and the fact I'm playing more (but I can control myself about TF2 - it's just everything related to gaming on Internet or contributing that I can't control), the fact that I'm reading more and the fact that I've got a couple of contacts for jobs, making me not wanting to go on Facebook.

I can feel myself lucky that I can get out of this by myself. Each of my addictions about the computer has been always solved by myself and by life.

I've never hidden the fact that I'm addicted but not to the point where I needed help from exterior.

I feared that Facebook would be one of these things that I couldn't get out. And I can let go of the secret: I feared the same thing for Neo and MobyGames. I was afraid to be too addicted to it. As you can see, I was a crazy contributor. But the break and each attempt to come back just make me see that I can't come back to the way it was before. I'm clearly happy to see that I'm not addicted to death to Neo but I'm sad to know that I've kinda let down some of you.

I'm still wanting to contribute now, not as much as before though, just a couple of games each day.

I need my time now for learning PHP, to go on Facebook also (just because I need to come back every couple of day - I'm not out remember?) and continue to search for a work that can suit me.

It's also possible that I've matured in between, seeing Neo not as vital as it was before. I'm not saying that Neo is not worthy, it's not that. I'm just saying that it's not my big priority like it was before.

I've been tagged as an inactive member but it's not even affecting me because it was worthy to take that break. After all, I've been into Facebook since May and it's a miracle that I got out five months after (compared to the four years passed on some online games).

I wasn't playing on Facebook since I'm in. No, it just got me like that.

An advice though: try to restrain yourself, these games are so damn addicting, even those you don't want to try or you decide to keep an account for others. Just play the big blockusters: Mafia Wars, Farmville, Farmtown, Vampire Wars or Nitrous Racing for example. This is why I come back to Facebook.

Love ya all,

Yeah yeah, I know I promised Football review but currently, Zynga is doing some changes to their games - Special Forces is ugly now, Fashion Wars is finally getting some order in the job, Vampire Wars is growing with features, Mafia Wars is in the same case and with a possibilty of a new Mafia Wars Russia, Farmville is growing everyday, etc.. -.

And when I'm finally done with my games, I'm helping my mom with some work we're doing. We're renovating the TV room/diner room/relax room or if you prefer, we're doing the first floor. So you can imagine that I've totally let Neo out of that.

Well, today, I felt like contributing!

And for not changing, it's for iPhone.

It's feeling good. Because the poor iPhone section hasn't really growing up since last time I've checked. I've provided a good start for the iPhone section with all the games contributed. And now, I'm believing that I was perhaps the only one to carry the task to make a good section. Eeer, well, it's true that I had a high rate of contributing at that time and that it's kinda hard to follow the same rate for someone else...

I've missed a lot during four months of absence. I can't imagine the casual games I'll have to contribute.... and iphone! When I let it down, apptism was somewhere around 37000 apps. They have now 73000. With probably a lot of games.

I'm not returning now for resources. I'm doing profiles. I'm getting back slowly...

It should make happy some of you.

Stay tuned, I've decided to review Football by Zynga and I've just made my screenshots :).

Apart from that, I've found casual games in French and in keep cases, which means that I can finally buy them without a credit card or downloading them in English with ads. For what I saw, you have MFC: Ravenhearst, Mystery PI: The Lottery Ticket (I bought it) and Vegas Heist (alos bought), Hidden Expedition: Titanic, Jewel Quest 2, Zuma, The Lost cases of Sherlock Holmes, Mahjong Quest 2, Mortimer Becket and the Mystery of Spooky Manor and a lot of others ones I know but well, I can't get the names in English.

Damn, I had to buy only two because I know myself. I would have bought the entire collection except for Jewel Quest 2 and Mahjong Quest 2.

I'll see if I can find them on ebay in keep case.

Yeah, yeah, as I've said, Farmville was a new game and it seems to have expanded well in a week: not only you can expand your farm (which I've done gladly) but now and contrary to Farmtown, your animals are producting: cows and goats give milk, ducks give feathers, pigs give truffles, chickens give eggs and sheeps give wools. We still don't know what the rabbit will give but for sure, I'm happy to see that finally, Farmville is evolving in the good sense and not staying like a Farmtown clone.

For now, I'm hesitating between reviewing Football from Zynga or Drinking Wars.... Mmmmm well stay tuned!

FARMVILLE: A CLONE OF FARMTOWN THAT CAN BE BETTER THAN IT

Being a farmer is fun

Well, for those who don't know, before getting on Neoseeker, I was playing some Internet games, mainly created by French/Belgian developers and expanding towards the English World like Exolandia for example. I was playing the Renaissance Kingdoms, Animefight and My E-Farm.

My E-Farm was putting you in the shoes of a farmer with animals to take care (and make babies) and with a production to assure in the level 3. The level 3 was really hard, so, I just gave up playing that game who was good.

It's not a surprise that I'm playing Farmtown on Facebook... and now Farmville from Zynga still on the same network.

Note that Farmville is clearly inspired by Farmtown, even in the name as ville = town. But the style is different. Even if...

So what's the matter?

Farmville is the new game by Zinga, who is a successful developer for Facebook and MySpace. They're behind Mafia Wars (also on... iPhone), Vampires Wars (also on... iPhone under the name of Vampire Bloodlust), YoVille, Football, Gang Wars, Heroes vs Villians, Pirates, Space Wars, etc..

Farmville is putting you in the shoes of a farmer. You have to plow with the "plow" tool for making a field and then you buy at the market the seeds you want to plant. You can also put trees, animals, or decorations on your land for getting a beautiful farm. Trust me, some on Farmtown are really great, so, as Farmville is only... a week or two old, you can imagine what it will be like in some weeks.

So, what about the seeds? The seeds are put in a plowed field, on Farmville, you can find: eggplants, rice, wheat, soya beans, squash, artichokes, pumpkin, strawberries, etc.. Each of them is growing up in a certain time: for example, strawberries are ready to harvest after 4 hours, when pumpkins are after 8 hours and artichokes after 4 days. So, you can understand that each product is having a different price and that when you're selling your harvest (which happens when harvesting), you'll get different prices. Personnally, I don't want to play Farmville or Farmtown every four hours, so I'm just buying seeds that need a day or more for being ready to harvest.

When it's ready to harvest, you have just to click on it for seeing your little buddy, the farmer, harvesting it. You have to plow your field again if you want to put seeds on it. The fact of plowing and putting seeds are making you earn XP, Farmville being a game with farmer levels. You have to level up if you want to unlock more trees, animals or seeds.

And it's the same with trees, well nearly, you don't have to plow.

Yes, you can earn some money by harvesting trees. You can buy them or... just waiting that a Facebook Friend playing the game send you a gift. The gift can be an animal or a tree, for now, I can send: Orange, Apple, Apricot, Cherry, Fig and Avocado tree. You can use or sell your gift.

As for the animals, they're just there for making your farm looking as a farm: cow, chickens, pigs, sheep... or you can still sell them for money if you're being gifted one.

The decoration is just there for the look: tent, waterwell, barn, etc.. It's perhaps sometimes expensive but the fact of building it can earn you xp. I'll refer to Farmtown but it's applying also on Farmville, though the number can't be the same: building an expensive decoration can make you earn 200 XP for example.

As Farmville is new, you can't interact with other people unless they're in your friend lists and playing the game: you can send them gifts but you can ask them to be your neighbour, which is easier for you to visit them.

Indeed, visiting a friend's farm and accepting to do the proposed task can earn you coins (money) and xp, which is really great when you're a low level or without a big farm.

So, as you can see, it's really easy to be a farmer in Farmville: just plowing, harvesting, no need to water, no need to be busy with animals (at least, not yet), you can take care of your farm in 10 minutes if you're not plowing all your available area.

KAWWWWAAAAAIIIII

Yes, I've playing Farmtown and yes, I've installed My Farm and Barn Buddy but if I'm really playing Farmville, it's because not only the gameplay seems less complicated but also that the graphics are really better than the other games. Each tree are really easy to recognize: the cherry tree is pink for example. The graphics are cartoonish, which means that it's not really realisitic, at least, less than Farmtown for example. Also, the animals are animated. At least, they're not moving around like in Farmtown, which is slowing the game.

And also, you can make your own buddy or avatar: you can choose his/her gender, hair, eyes, etc..

Tatata tata

Uhm, yes, I'm trying to reproduce the music in Farmville... It's only a simple music but it's sticking to a farm. Anyway, this is the only sound you'll hear and you can disable it.

Zoom in, zoom out

You can zoom in in your farm or having a global view, which is not really important in Farmville. Still, it's a tool that I'm appreciating because I prefer a high view than the default one.

And if you need to move, you can click anywhere on the map for walking or if you need to move the map, just click longer and move your mouse.

Credit card anyone?

And as every facebook game, you have a part where you can buy coins or favor points for getting bonuses, though that you have free offers like surveys. But in Farmville, it's only for coins, so, if you want to do an useless use of your credit card, go ahead.

So Farmville = winner?

Well, yes, if you consider the fact that it has less options than Farmtown (at least, you're not lost), it's faster than it and also... much more easier to use for the plow and harvest. Farmville is perhaps inspired (a lot) by Farmtown but Zynga is trying to do a better game, after all, I've seen my initial list of five farmers growing up quickly.

The only annoyance is the number of gifts you can receive, as some people can't prevent themselves to do it daily (once in a week is sufficient, especially when you're playing games where you can send a lot), as for the rest, graphics are really cute, sound isn't annoying and that the gameplay is really intuitive.

The only thing I can tell to Zynga is to finish perhaps some games before going in another one (Prison Lockdown, Space Wars and Football need more missions, Fashion Wars and Dragon Wars need these level masteries and finally, perhaps to stop focusing on adding more spam with the fact that you can publish almost all actions, which is really spamming your newsfeeds).

In the end, I don't know if Farmville is also on MySpace but I know that Zynga and other companies are developing the same games for both, so, if you've have to choose between farming games, take Farmville, it's perhaps new but at least, it's really different in the look and much easier to master than the others.

Nota Bene: Redemption will be happy, I've used the NeoGallery for hosting my screens. You can find two more of them on it, by the way.

I'm explaining: for more than four years, I was addicted to Exolandia and The Renaissance Kingdoms.

When I thought that my addiction was over, for making pleasure to friends sending requests for Facebook games, I entered them. Horror...

Since two months, it's making me addicted, which is desolating me because Neoseeker and MobyGames suffered from it. I'm trying to come back since the beginning of June and I'm failing miserabily.

But... well, I'm not playing all games I'm on. I'm only playing daily the majority of Zynga Games, the Playdom ones and three or four mores.

And playing them gave me an idea that I will apply now.

Why not make a review here, on Neoseeker, on my blog about them? Not only it will help me to come back to my rate of contributions (for now, I'm contributing once a week some iPhone and PC games) but also, it will probably help me to stop playing them - at least for some like Heroes Vs Vilians or Dragon Wars.

So for beginning now, I'll simply give you my pseudos on the games, why this and if I'm fan or not.

And you know why I'm hooked? Because of damn level masteries and achievements, which is a bad consequences of Steam ones.

Ok, let's begin by the first true game that hooked me: Mafioso. It was just because of Lil'green patch, which is a sort of send gift for helping to save the rainforest (even if I'm doubting about it).

Mafioso is a mafia game, meaning that you're playing a member of it and you're doing some jobs for money, xp, etc. You can buy properties but you can also build your own mafia with strangers (which is currently a problem for facebook because of the friends requests spamming). Well, since last weeks, job masteries appeared and while I'm trying to vault some collections, well, it made me back to the street thugs jobs (and well with the wallet collection who appeared also). In Mafioso, I've currently unlocked the Consigliere level but I'm a Skilled Associate. In other words, in title, I'm only carrying the second wave of jobs when I've unlocked the 7th. As I've already said, my name there is Chiara (Di Angelo), one of my characters in Max Payne, an officer in the Army, infiltrated in her own birth world, the Mafia. She is not a nobody there: not only I've made her the goddaughter of Angelo Pucinello but also the daughter of the next don and in my non realist world, she would be the next one to lead the mafia, succumbing to what she was trying to escape.

Chiara is also the name for Mafia Wars, THE mafia game on Facebook and I'm truly recommending it because they've now extended the game to Cuba, with a different way to earn pesos with businesses. Mafia Wars is also full of achievements... and ironically, I was present when they were first released. Since when, new ones appeared and I'm really happy to say that I've gained some important. Chiara is also the name on Mobsters, the Ultimate Mafia (I don't play that one but for making pleasure again), on Mob Wars.

In Mafia Wars, I'm only a skilled hitman (5th wave of jobs) when I've unlocked the Underboss wave (or if you prefer the 8th wave). Also, I'm El Soldato Experto in Cuba (which is considered as the first wave there and the equivalent to Soldier, the third one in New York) but I can do the El Capitan and El Jefe missions if I want. But in reality, El Soldado is only available to level 35, which is corresponding to... Consigliere in New York.

On Robin Hood, made by the same makers as Mafioso, I'm Wild Free, a totally random name because I can see the character free and wild. As you can imagine, my avatar is a girl one, because it's so nice to be a girl in that kind of medieval game. Like Mafioso, they have level masteries but also achievements, more difficult to earn because of the non mandatory friend requests.

Spy Wars was made also by the makers of Mafioso, I was there when it was launched and well, they still need to add the mastery and the achievements. It was kinda hard to play it first but I'm still there. I'm Leila Clark there, like my character in Rainbow Six, the lost daughter of John Clark and who has some problems to behave in society but who is also full of surprises, who is working for a super agency and who is... an officer in the Marine Corps. She's like many of my characters a genius but a genius with so much problems when it's coming to her past or her feelings.

Finally, Fashionista is the Fashion game by the makers of Mafioso, with achievement but no mastery. My name there is Neela... as Neela Rasgotra in ER. It's the same name in the boring Fashion Wars by Zynga.

That was the first wave in the Facebook games. BTW, if you happen to play them, you're more than welcome to comment the future review incoming and my first one will not be about a major game. I'm planning to review... Farmville, the new addictive game by Zynga. Hell, I was a my eFarm player you know. Farmville is better than Farmtown in my opinion.

Anyway, what do you think about reviewing them here? I'm really willing to try to explain these games because I really need to come back here. And it's kinda difficult.

There is light you know. I'm already not playing them in the evening. And I'm playing them less in the afternoon. I just need now to replace the playing by Neo. And it has begun today with my blog post.

Also, even if I wasn't a fan, RIP Michael Jackson, I would never thought that you would have died so young. You were a performer and even if your private life was kinda... disturbed, well, I'm still loving Beat it, Billie Jean and all the songs that I knew from childhood.

I hate Danzou, that's sure but if he's elected as Hokage in the next chapter, I'm not reading anymore. No way, it could be a great arc with him being out of the picture at the end but no. No no no. He should be out of the picture in the next chapter, not being Hokage. No. That's just going nowhere.

I'm still going to support my pairings but no more Naruto the friday on onemanga. No. I don't want to have a villain having his goal fullfilled. No. Not when Naruto has defeated Pain. Not when Jiraiya died for his village. Not when Tsunade used a lot of chakra to protect the village, not when she was standing for it, despite knowing she has no chance to survive a fight with Pain. Not when Kakashi and Shizune came back from the death. Not when Hinata did finally confess. No.

I just want Danzou having his ass wipped out, same thing for Sasuke (with a return to Konoha) and Madara.

No. I was already having difficulties to read it when it was Sasuke vs Itachi and I was bored by Nagato's story. No.

I'll stick with FMA. Perhaps less chapters but at least, it's going somewhere. With Naruto, yes, Naruto will probably be Hokage one day but not like that. No. No. And no.

Tsunade doesn't deserve this ending. Tsunade doesn't deserve to be stripped out of her rank. No.

Anyway, I wasn't really a Naruto fan but I was beginning to love the manga. Danzou as Hokage will make me stop there. That's all.♦

I'm explaining.

I was on HK TF2 Newbies servers (http://www.hkcentral.net/ if you want to know about the clan and the community) and well, I decided to play spy without guaranteeing a good outcome.

I was impressed by myself. Because where I couldn't place a kill six months ago... I did three in a row, I've done precious kills and I've harassed an engineer trying to build in our base (it was Badwater btw).

The outcome was: second of my team (we won that round) with 31 points...

I've never done 31 points with pyro or medic, which are my best classes. I'm always behind people and I appear rarely on the top 3.

Which is leading me to: I'm maybe not a fail spy. Yes, I've done stupid things, after, it was the FIRST time I was playing fairly spy.

I'm wondering if the time on achiev. server as a spy is paying off?

We were rolled. I assure you we were rolled. But a good defense is always paying. We all put our hearts to defend and I was pressured by the fact that I was the only to harass that engi, making his tele always going down.

I don't say that we won because I was spy but... I did good. Hell, I got 31 points in a class I'm not mastering.

I was also third of my team after my connection. After, I did a good job as engineer when I was Red and I did make some good kills. Problem was that I was the only engi to stay engi :D.

Anyway, I'm better with the bow than with the sniper rifle. Weird.

pc gaming related team fortress 2
vicrabb blogged

At least for ancients players of Team Fortress 2. Because now, TF2 Dev. Team just messed up the game and nearly made me quit TF2.

Achievements are now useless... unless you want to have them for guiding the others or for bragging about them... Why?

Because of a damned weapon system lottery. Yeah. You loot new weapons while playing. And trust me, some can get three new weapons in five minutes when some people got one in four hours... worst if it's a duplicate.

Now, you don't earn weapons by doing achievement but purely by lottery. So, yeah, it's great when you're a new player but some got 5 KGB, other 4 ubersaw... which they were already proud owners by the old way.

So now, achievement are useless so why backstabbing 1000 people if you can't have a sense behind it? It was fun to achievement, even on achiev. servers (if it's not a givemeall one, because the reason behind the change are them, I was having fun to help people and now it's just pointless to help people as if being a team apart from playing is the sole manner to "bound").

I'm back to my own game. I've looted: 2 Natasha, 1 Ubersaw, 1 Blusauger, 1 Backburner and finally, well, I've looted in a row: Cloack and Dagger, Huntsman (damn, that bow is purely marvelous in the look and in the sound) and the Ambassador (that gun is overpowered).

What is really frustrating is not the time of waiting (it's a bug that should pasted) but the fact that you're getting duplicates and that you need always to delete them from your backpack. Yeah you can trade but this is annoying as hell. I give you an ambassador for your duplicate of jarate... And the feeling of having earn the weapons?

A lot of players I've played yesterday were just complaining, as me, about that weapon system. You got duplicate but people just connecting or who are there for the week-end (as it's free) got what you're longing. This is unfair for old players. I mean, at least, with the old way, everyone was getting his weapons NORMALLY, without it being random, with luck and at least, it's not so boring than wait, even as spectator, that the sky above you answers your prayers.

You'll say that TF2 is only a game, with a team and a match. Yes. But by introducing new weapons, you can understand that everyone wants them and that by making achievements, at least, you could try a class you're not playing or well, improving your skills for get them. I mean, I didn't train as sniper for getting that system.

I'll get back to TF2 and try to loot things by playing, by hearing complaints. Once I'll get all the new unlocks, it will be nothing else than a bad memory... until the next update, where my chances to have duplicate will be increased and where I'll probably see new players get them before me without even playing the class.

Oh yeah, because now, you can be a scout and a kritz. At least, with the ancient system, YOU HAD TO BE THE CLASS for getting them.

Thanks Valve and TF2 Dev. Teams, I'm not waiting for your new update so eagerly, knowing that the half part of it will be only useless and not even funny to do. I love having achievements but now, I'm like the majority of us out here: not really wanting them anymore, as they're - and pardon my expression - shit now.

Instead of counter attacking the givemeall servers by trying to find a way to shut them down with softwares, they're just doing that RPG-Style system. If everytime I'm playing the game, I'm receiving always duplicates to delete or to trade, I know something: some players will get bored with it and will not even play TF2 anymore.

Seriously, I'm really disappointed by the update. You're looting objects but still, some achievement are harder or long to do.

If you didn't want achiev. servers with hacks, you shouldn't have done achievement or new weapon at all. Or just to stick to the way it was. After all, even if it's annoying, at least, people would get their weapons and playing with them then doing a stupid lottery with people who get great weapons in 5 minutes and leave after and with players playing all day long and with only an unlockable after 4 hours... or worst a duplicate.

What is sure now is that I'm officially an hater of the new weapon system. I've looted the weapons but I'm feeling bad for people who can't get an grip on one for hours. I've looted the weapons but I'm regretting the time of achievement servers with helping people. I'm regretting the time where I was doing achievement for something and then complete the pack because, well, it's the best way to do it.

I want my system back. I want my TF2 spirit back. One day of the loot system and I'm already sick of it...

I don't know if the ancient system will come back. But now, don't think I'll be interested by the update anymore. It will be a simple day of TF2 playing, without having to rush to get new weapons for playing with them. That feeling is gone now. Each update will be a complaint of how it can be long to loot something. How unfair it is to get only dupe or nothing during hours. How unfair Valve was about achievement servers without the givemeall. Because think about it. You were at least doing something. Here nothing. So much for earning a loot. Doing nothing and paf: BONUSES.

I'm still bitter with the update. Yesterday, I didn't have fun playing the game with that loot system. I was like, I'm here only for looting, true but I was playing with steam friends, on my favorite servers... and nothing. Everyone complaining. Oh yeah, just the pleasure to have been a key to the team for winning the round. But nothing more. Just being jealous of people who were looting new weapons. Just having compassion for the people looting duplicate and nothing else.

I wish I was still the day before the update, when I was happily helping people and when I was still hoping for the best.

I've still a guys vs girls match next Sunday and at least, HK(C) members are what is refraining me to quit TF2 and to get past the boring duplicate looting.

I think that I'll keep a daily update for taking count about duplicate loot. Could be amusing enough no?

And so the jarate wasn't an april's fool. Jarate is the jar of pee that will be used... against spy. It can also extinguish people.

But this is Sniper achievement I'm taking interest in.

And I'm gonna scream.... NOT AGAIN! WHY THE MEDIC WITH UBER DOES HAVE TO BE KILLED? (the complaint of a medic player).

By the way, take a look at sniper achievement.

Australian Rules: Eerr I don't know.

Number One Assistant: It's probably doing something with Jarate five times.

Be effecient: With a 100%? Probably something to do without missing a shot.

Parting Shot: I suppose it's with headshot

Be Polite: Oh oh this is a freezecam taunt shot!

Pin Cushion: Something to do with the bow

Beaux and arrows: Pinning a medic. Seriously, stop chasing the medic. We're not so powerful for defending ourselves.

Rain on their parade: Not Sawmill. Please.

Consolation Prize: I'm wondering if it's not using 50 razorshields and being backstabbed.

Robbin'Hood: There, the famous achievement with intel carrier. Pin them.

Dead Reckoning: Errr, no... I don't know what it is.

Rode Hard, Put Away Wet: Jarate... Yes but what?

De-sentry-lized: That's the one I'm fearing... or not. It's killing 3 sentries. If they're active or if they're build, I don't know but I love sniping them while being admin. The real problem will come when the hype about these two will be out. When Pyro, Heavy and Scout will come back.

Saturation Bombing: Four times with Jarate? Ok, I don't have a clue.
T
William Tell Overkill: Well, the bow is required but for pinning someone.

Uberectomy: God no. Not his one. Not being killed with a 100% uber...

My brilliant carreer: I suppose it's being the first one during a play. Damn. I will have to do it with friends elsewhere.

Not a Crazed Gunman Dad: I suppose that it's about killing people taking CP.

Kook the Spook: Kill 10 spies with kukri. Come on it's obvious.

Kill Everyone You Meet: 1000 people to kill. Oh come on, that one, I'm doing it when I'll be killing people dominating me or who are killing me without reason. How to combine admin immunity to achievement. I'm a naughty girl...

Triple Prey: Or it's killing someone three times in a row or it's killing three people different in a row.

Jumper Stumper: Kill someone jumping. I should try 2fort... or not.

The last wave: What? Again a taunt with freezecam?

Jarring Transition: Use the jar on Spy. I'm sure of it.

Soket to him: Can't really read the icon.

Jarate chop: Kukri + Jarate? Oh oh, it seems that Jarate is replacing the subgun.

Have a plan: Eeer, no I don't see.

Shoot the breeze: Kill a spy?

Shock Treatment: That's stunning a spy with razorback.

Friendship is golden: Use the jarate on your friends. No?

Enemy at the gate: Ok, this is a timed achievement. But about what?

Self-destruct sequence: Eeeer? Kill snipers?

Dropped dead: ok, a bird and a bow... Can someone tell me which map has bird?

Shafted: I don't know. Arrow yes but...

This is my take on Sniper Achievement. I'll be doing Spy first. I prefer doing sniper after.

Anyway, do you think I should not sleep this night?

No. I'll be sleeping but I'm up at 7 in the morning if the update isn't during the day.

No blog tomorrow. You know where to find me.

Oh yeah. I'm on Facebook, if you're a gangster, an inmate, a space pilot, a pirate, a thief, a blood sucker or even a soldier or a racer, well, you can still drop me a friend request for these games if you need a member in your crew/fleet/clan/squad/etc.

Day 6 arrived and the mention of Sniper disappeared. Ok, breath Vic. Why can't they confirm or not if it's a SPY update, a SNIPER update or BOTH?

Anyway, if I already hate the Dead Ringer for obvious reasons, the ambassador seems nice. I mean, it seems that it's a powerful weapon, who can be used at long range. But apparently it's slow to use. So, that means that some of those achievements will be with it.

Why not: Skullpluggery, Diplomacy (which is making sense now - Ambassador - Diplomacy and the fact the icon was unreadable without knowing the new pistol) and... no more.

Anyway, one of the weapons will be replacing the knife and probably the sapper or the watch. Though the watch isn't a weapon. I already know that I don't want to trade the knife or the sapper. Hell, I was hoping for a new knife, one who isn't deadly but can stun you for example.

Anyway, tomorrow, it's Day 7... eeer today is Day 7 and tomorrow is the update (or Friday if it's late - I mean for people not living in USA/Canada or the same timetable).

To Neoseeker Staff: I'm still there, I need a break from contributing, like it was the case in October, so, don't worry, after Spy Update, I'm coming back.

Yeah, yeah, during the week-end, Meet the Spy was leaked on YouTube. A marvelous video with a Red Spy in the Blu Base, with Heavy, Scout, Blu Spy and Soldier wondering where he is. Because Sniper was killed... Blu Spy is saying to Scout that Red Spy is doing his mother... yeah, yeah, that surprised me. But again, we see Engineer and Medic learning the hard way. We're in 2Fort by the way. The ending is great but I'm still wondering how Valve can think that a man can call his woman a cauliflower. "Mon petit chou-fleur" isn't a "pet" name, I mean, someone calls me like that and he has a furious glare from my part.

So Day 5 was about... Meet the Spy. Officially. Even if Valve humored everyone with the Act Surprised in the video and the Valve Corporate achievement already Unlocked with a YouTube Icon:

"Welcome to the internets: Fail to understand what 'Private' means on YouTube."

Anyway, here's my take on achievements:

Counter Espionage: Apparently, it would be to kill another spy disguised (by backstabbing?)

A Cut Above: It seems to kill another spy... out in the open.

May I Cut In?: I don't know really know about this one. Perhaps it's killing 30 Medics. If it's with uber ready or not... I don't know;... or perhaps be ubered by a medic.

Agent Provocateur: Kill 10 people by backstab?

On Her Majesty's Secret Surface: Probably be the first to reach a CP.

Burn Notice: It's perhaps survive the fire of a pyro 30 times or it's kill 30 pyros.

Point Breaker: Defend 15 CP by killing people on it?

Come in From the Cold: Kill a Nemesis? Or an Heavy? Or an Heavy Nemesis?

Sap Auteur: That one, I'm sure of it, it's sap 1000 buildings... or perhaps put 1000 sap...... Whaaaaat? 1000??????? Damn, it will be long.

Constructus Interruptus: God, now we're in Latin! Anyway, it's probably kill an Engineer building (kill the Engi who is building?)

Sapsucker: I don't know about this one - well, it's about sap... but?

Skullpluggery: Is a sniper hat? I don't know what is about but it's a matter of 10 times

Die Another Way: That one will be with the Dead Ringer...

Sleeper Agent: Well, it's a matter of being dead... but I don't know...

Spies Like Us: I'm wondering if it's about: disguise as a spy.

Diplomacy: I can't really guess that one. Sorry.

Spymaster: Kill 1000 people, I'm sure... with backstab?

Dr. Nooooo: Kill a medic with uber ready but non deployed. Should be that.

For Your Eyes Only: Probably do a taunt over a dead body.

The Man from P.U.N.C.T.U.R.E.: If that taunt is becoming a killing one, I'll be mad. Medic doesn't have one despite being updated.

FYI I am a Spy: Oh yeah, that one is known... eeer, only by name. Because well, I don't know how to unlock it.

The Man with the Broken Guns: It's about sap. Sap 3 sentry guns?

High Value Target: I don't know. Perhaps kill 3 dominated players?

The Melbourne Supremacy: Kill a sniper. I'm sure of it.

Identity Theft: Well, joker.

Triplecrossed: ..... Eeer, no, I can't guess

Wetwork: I swear it, if it's about killing under rain in Sawmill, I'm putting reclamation: Do you really know that Arena Mode is NOT the best mode for putting an achievement? Do you think about the new players that can be killed even before doing something?

Insurance Fraud: Probably to accumulate a certain HP by being healed by an enemy medic.

Is It Safe?: Cap 50 points. Damn. I hate Spy cap.

Who’s Your Daddy?: Kill a scout. It's probably a reference to the Meet the Spy Video.

Joint Operation: Probably something to do with another spy.

You Only Shiv Thrice: Do three backtsab in 10 seconds?

Ok, that's my take. I'm sure for some that are obvious. But for others?

Anyway, I'm now excited by them. Because I'll amuse myself on achievement server. I'm wondering if I'll do it on annoying people. You know, kill people killing people doing achievement or killing me when helping.

Me, a mean admin? Well, the owner told me that he would kick someone or a bot in order to make me join the server. If that's not mean... :D.

Oh yeah, and it's perhaps a double update. Sniper was still in the title of the blog spot.

Big shock tonight.

Day 4 is a page about Spy Update. Yeah, the spy killed the sniper.

And I don't know what to tell you. What will remain from the past days? Apart perhaps Day 2 concerning new maps and new mode.

Thinking about it, the spy update was something that everyone wants. They told us: Scout? Nooo, it's a spy update. With crappy reasons.

So now, why is it a Spy update, with a link to a minisite (which was inexistant with the sniper) and with a date (21 may).

Remember the jarate, the april's fool? The spy was present. Think of it, for day 1, you have a spy in the picture, powned by arrows. On day 2, apart from the mention of spytech, nothing could have warn us from that.

And then, the razorback shield was clearly aimed for spies. I was having a doubt about that. Because I couldn't picture it in the game.

And then, you see a pic of the sniper with razorback and a spy behind. With his new gadget.

Basically, what we're having there is a watch that cloak you when you're hit by a non-lethal hit and create for 8 seconds a perfect picture of you. Crap. The spy is becoming too much powered.

The second is also a watch but which can make you have invisibility... without limit... but only if you stand still.

My question is: is it a joke? Or is it reality?

After seeing the blog again... with the link to minisite... and with the date...

People, Sniper isn't the next one to be update. It's the Spy and frankly... I don't want to think about the new problem I'll get on achiev. servers...

You may not know it but a lot of people found the spy overpowered with the new update...

No, I don't speak about Spy Pack. I'm speaking about updates fixing some stuff. And well, spies are difficult to counter-attack: a backstab is an instant death. And apart from the pyro who can reveal easily a spy or in a less mesure, a medic with blutsauger, apart from players whose spies have the name or unless the spy is spotten when disguising or uncloaking, well, it's hard to protect your team from these players.

I'm not a good spy but I've also a soft spot for them, because with sniper, it's the class I wish I was good at. I'm an average sniper but for spies....

Anyway, remember the jarate? Well, it was the april's fool. I don't know what will the razorback replace but I do know for sure that at least, spies will let snipers with razorback in peace... well, just a little. Because apart from electrocuting the spy and making him die, shocked and with knife needing to cool down, the Razorback is destroying with a single backstab. At least, you're not dead and can eventually counter-attack. Two good Steam Friends of mine who are good spies are already pestering against that. And I'm also realizing that in achievement servers, if a sniper is having it, I can't backtstab him for stopping him to kill who he can't kill. I will need to relay on the kick more often... Daaaaaamn.

Anyway, the update was early yesterday, it wasn't past midnight when it came out.

In a certain logic, tomorrow should be or achievement or new maps or anything else... or monday. Because tomorrow is Saturday and... wait a minute, it will be Friday's update, so I should say today?

I'm out Wednesday afternoon but I've still Wednesday morning like last time. Damn damn damn.

Anyway, now, I'll return to some chores I promised to do.

See ya tomorrow for the Friday update.

I was under chapter 95 effect (you know, FMA, Roy, Riza and the others). So, I couldn't quite speak about...

SNIPER UPDATE!

Yeah, since the 1st april, you know that sniper will be updated. So, since the 12th May, we saw appear the countdown. I don't how many days till it (4 days I suppose, we're still missing achievements and two weapons) but it's clear that I'll be all day on TF2, trying to get achievements while monitoring dear servers I'm admin of. At least, I hope to get some achievements in a fairly manner than in achievement servers, scout being my most hated class and so, I didn't do anything normally.

Ok, now get an inside about the day 1. The Huntsman. Yeah, a new weapon. A weapon that I was told he would be replacing sniper rifle. One thing for sure. I will not use it during fight. Hell, if it's the new sniper rifle, meaning that I need to be nearer enemies? Sorry, but I really love when playing sniper being behind, far away. I mean, I'm already playing offensive when medic (following people to heal) or pyro (burn, burn!) unless I need to spycheck. But the weapon itself look good. Yeah, it's a bow. I didn't really get into description but apparently, it could be an instant crit.

Day 2. Oh yeah new mode. The famous double payload. But here, it's a race. It will be a little epic I think but I will test it, see if I love it or if I hate it. Because I fear for engineers in it and for HK servers. It would be bad to have spawnkilling if there is only one exit. And in that case, it's forbidden to do so. Uhm... Well, at least, they have limited the number of engis (as pyros and scouts), at 3.

But if we get Pipeline (the new double payload, called here payload race), we also get Sawmill and Nucleus in Arena. Sawmill is said to be the first map with weather effects: the rain. While underground you'll have a hi-tech base. Nucleus seems dangerous because of the central point with ravine (apparently), like Lumberyard had (not on CP though). It seems like a little Steel but made for Arena mode. Perhaps it would be good to see it in normal CP.

So, now, what do are we waiting for? Well, the Kukri is really a trademark for sniper. I mean, it's badass to have a "sword" instead of a saw, wrench, axe, bat, fist/gloves, bottle, knife and shovel. So, what will replace it? And for the mini subgun? What will it be?

And the achievements? I already know that we'll be somewhere obliged to do some headshot in the rows, that we'll probably do some shots on intel carrier or capture points takers, I suppose that we'll have to pin down some enemies with the Huntsman and I'm wondering if we'll have to do something particular in special modes or in normal play (arena, special killing and now payload race). What else we will be doing? Destroying buildings from far? Doing some kills while alive? While ubered (the sniper doesn't uber unless a weapon is requiring it)? Kill taunting enemies? Does the sniper get a killer taunt (which the medic is lacking but not the Pyro with shotgun/flare, the Heavy with fists and the Scout with Sandman)?

Anyway, I'll be back tomorrow for commenting the new unlock.

I'm already wondering what will it be next time. I just hope it's something good like spy (at least, we'll stop with :"Awww I want a spy update" or any crapping theory) or demoman. I can't really see an engi update, it would be really unerving for me and achievement servers (telling them not to build sentries even for achievements, that they'll ask me first, tadaaaaam). And soldier? Can't really picture it.

My Royai side is satisfied. Well, it's still not the moment we want but it's close. Roy can"t stand the idea of Riza following him in death and Riza can't stand the idea of Roy being dead. Good.

Good also that Envy finally died, even if it's suicide. But as a lot of FMA fans (except Envy ones), I wanted him die. Good. Maes Hughes is somewhere avenged as the Ishbal people, at least, for the triggering of the war.

Finally, we got Oliver Armstrong, I'm used to abridge it as Oli because I'm still confused: is it Oliver, Olivier or Olivia? Well, she wasn't killed, she's taking command and we do know for sure that the Armstrong siblings trust each other enough to let the other behind.

And finally, we got Izumi Curtis back. I was kinda knowing that she wasn't anymore a prisoner at Briggs, after all, she had the message and as Al and Ed's sensei, as an alchemist and being also eager to take part to that historical battle, she deserves to be part of it. And the fact she wants just for once bragging about the fact that she's alchemist, well, without forgetting the housewife part... Now, we need an insight at East, with dear Grandpa Grumman and Major Miles, we need to see also the others.

But damn it, since chapter 72, the manga is really epic... I'm not really awaiting for chapter 96, Royai side being satisfied but if I can get more Oli in it, I'll beeeeee very happy.

Can't wait to see it animated.

Or if you prefer, they got me hooked on Facebook Games. Oooh, I was already playing Vampires/Zombies/Werewolves/Slayers or Star Wars Jedi Academy, but I lost interest in Facebook.

A friend sent me once a flower from Lil Green Patch, making me accept also Lil Blue Cove and Lil Eco Racer. They're not really games but well, if the people are glad...

For Vampires, I was turned by my cousin and I turned someone in it but just for showing her what can happen when you accept such a request. I didn't oblige her to play, after all, you can try a game and let the sender play his game.

For Zombies, I don't know how I was turned by my "social goddaughter" from university time and I don't even remember having bitten an acquitance that accepted my invitation and I turned myself in a Slayer and Werewolf, hardcore they said.

So, back to Green Patch. You could win some virtual bucks by testing another game, Mafioso...

Well, here I am, Chiara (a OC in my Max Payne World) but I didn't get really into the game before winning a looooooot of virtual dollars. I'm currently level 18 but only because I was a noob. Then I tried their other game, Robin Hood, where I'm Wild Free (sic) and where I'm just level 17. Since some days, I'm getting attacked by other players, making me loose my money that I was trying to save. My current goal is for Mafioso to own a Office Complex (16 000 000 dollars) and for Robin Hood, a mine for the same price. Recently, they did another game, Spy Wars but it's not as exciting as the two others. You see, some missions is requiring to have a mob and well, my friends aren't really the type to accept to enter mine. If in Mafioso and Robin Hood, I've used my favor points for getting two extra members, making me able to do plenty missions, in Spy Wars, with a crew of 1, contrary to Mafioso and Robin Hood, you can only do two missions. And even if bought two members, I would not still able to unlock missions. This is pretty stupid anyway.

Then I was invited to Vampire Wars from Zynga. I'm Angel Hellsing, a name I've read in a Hellsing fanfic (Angel being Integra and Alucard's daughter), I'm in a clan of 6 (yes!) and I'm level 14. The game is impressive by itself but my problem is that it's too popular, my skill rating are deceasing because players with a clan of 20, 30 and 40 keep attacking weakier players. I'm doing it but only for a difference of two or three members, not with 25 members of difference! And some are really interested by killing you even if you don't have blood to offer, which is getting on my nerve. I mean, I'm here for the achievements, not for keeping getting killed by unfair people.

I tried after Mafia Wars, Pirates, Space Wars and Special Forces from the same developers and it's better than Vampire Wars. Some people asked me to be in their mob/fleet/crew, I've accepted (because the most I have, more mission I can do). I've tried Fashion Wars but being a fashion victim is boring for me. I've also tried Dragon Wars but well, I was also bored quickly.

So, apparently, on Facebook, I'm more appealed by being a Vampire (which shocks me), by being a special operative (but again, I'm a Ghost Recon/Rainbow Six lover), by being a pirate (which is normal - who didn't want to be part of a crew?) and by being in space (but again, it's not really a surprise, being a fan of Gundam Seed). Bring me a game with Alchemy and I'll probably be on it (FMA!!) or a ninja one....

Anyway, you already know that I'm called Chiara because of my OC in Max Payne, well, in Spy Wars, it's also an OC in R6, Leila Clark, in Pirates, it's Elizabeth because well, it's sounding great for a pirate, in Space Wars, it's MJ, because of my twisted version of Star Wars (nope, MJ doesn't equal Mara Jade) and in Special Forces, it's Astra Galinsky... my favorite specialist in Ghost Recon! Well, it's not a shock, Astra is a sniper AND female.

Anyway, now, I'm going to watch Beauty and the Geek... yes, a Belgian channel has bought the program for broadcasting here. It's the original one, not a belgian version. I don't think it would as funny as yours, American People.

I don't believe that some in your country aren't knowing some basic things. Or they played it dumb or they're really ignorant. I don't mean that everyone is knowing everything but not some basic stuff?????

Apart from that, I'm still happy to kick and ban asses from TF2 when they're really annoying or when I'm not in the mood to deal with idiots when I have a full server and 2-3 people asking for my help or for teleporting bots.

I'll review next week a game I've bought some weeks ago. Why not doing it now? Well, I prefer to write when it's not a special AoE (Articles of Excellence) event, in other words, the All-Stars winning.

So, why have I bought that game? GBA is older than DS you'll say. But my DS happens to be GBA compatible (in other words, it's the original DS I'm owning).

Well, I finally found R6: Rogue Spear for the console and the same seller happens to sell also Final Fight One. Beat'em up isn't my favorite genre but I've a soft spot for it, as it's pure arcade, reminding me my vacations when I was looking to people playing it on arcade born.

So, as I've said, it's a quick review, so don't expect developements, just wait for the official review I'll publish.

The story is about three people, fighting for freeing Jessica from the claws of the Mad Gear gang. You have Cody, the polyvalent guy, the boyfriend, Guy, Cody's friend, very agile and Haggart, the father, the ex-street fighter, the mayor of the city.

In a beat'em up, you have to fight a lot of enemies coming from every direction, with different healths and different damage inflicted. You have the simple street thug, but you can find sort of mini-bosses, harder to beat and also doing more damage. And finally, at the end of the six stages, you'll have a boss, very hard to beat at the end and with different abilities: you'll find the idiot who thinks he's great, a sort of samouraï, a sort of soldier, a corrupted policeman, a "clown" (sorry but Abigale is really looking like a buffoon) and finally the boss, the chief, the one in a wheelchair but who happens to be a fake crippled.

I've in very easy with nine lives and Cody didn"t get past Abigale, Guy did wonders but was unable to beat the last boss and Haggart is really recommanded for the sixth stage... if you have continue in stock. Because you can start the stage again when dead with a new character. I didn't really like Cody because he seemed very weak against bosses when Guy is definitively your man for the game. Haggart can inflict high damage but he's kinda slow, despite that, he's the only one that can last against the last boss. Or it's me playing like a noob or it's just a problem in the difficulty of the game. Even some weak enemies can inflict high damages, which is abnormal for me. When you're a common nemesis, you don't have to inflict bosses damage, right?

The stages themselve are varied. You're beginning in the street for finishing the game in the uptown part, in a tower. You'll have to go through a bay area, a metro, a club, an industrial zone (with fire on the ground, beware of that), etc..

It's perhaps only six stages but it's enough for me, my poor thumb was definitevely hurting when playing it.

What is great in this game is the secret search. Well, it's more a "beat X enemies" for unlocking a secret (which are options in reality). I'm currently trying to unlock the rapid punch one but now, I can select my stage.

As for the graphics, they're colorful but again, it's a pure beat'em up, so, you don't expect darker graphics, especially when the game is conceived as it was back in that time. Soundtrack is also good, as the sounds effects. You don't have voice acting like you can have in Half-Life 2 but still, it's good.

I'm mainly mad at the game because you can't save when you want or in a special slot. In other words, play a new game and everything done before is lost. That's why I'm happy of the stage select secret unlocked. But still, I'm feeling like being lucky to be the only one to play DS (being an only child) because if you had to share your console, well, it can be a problem.

Final Fight One on GBA is deserving a 6/10 because of that lack of normal saving system, because of some unbalanced difficulty and mainly because my thumb hurts during playing and it wasn't after one hour of it, it was after 10 minutes!

So, this is the end of the quick review, stay tuned for the developed one!

That's what I could answer to a mail that I received but well, I preferred an alternative...

I'm explaining.

If you check my complete profile submission (eeer if you love digging in more or less 60 pages), I've submitted AGS games and among them, Barn Runner series (I still need to submit the other profiles but I still need to play them). I've done the same on MobyGames because contrary to here, on Neo where it's normal to promote that kind of games because the site - sorry to say that - lacks of it unless there is a walkthrough, on MG, I was surprised to see that it was also absent from the database when they had a pretty good section of AGS games. Ben Jordan and Chzo Mythos didn't need me to be on it. But Rob Blanc and Pirate Fry, yes. And now Barn Runner.

Well, Scott, the creator of the series, emailed me for thanking me for adding it on MG. A friend of his pointed that I had submitted profiles and well, he emailed me (through my MG profile I think) because he was happy to see that I was indirectly promoting his games (because more people can see the profile and taking interest in it, how do you think I got hooked by Ben Jordan? Because of THayes's walktrough on Neoseeker, when I began to care for profiles info! Same for the Chzo Mythos! So yes, it's a way to promote the games).

I've pointed to him that I've done the same for Neoseeker, so, now, he knows that the game is here and not only on MG or on Abandonia Reloaded.

And I was surprised in the first place to receive that kind of email. I mean, I'm not expecting a word of thanks for just doing my "job" of contributor. Job isn't perhaps the appropriate word but you understand what I mean. If the game can be on a database like Neo or MG (don't roar on me because I called Neo a database, I'm considering it like that), why not?

So yeah, I'm not expecting a thanks from anyone for submitting games (apart some "good work" or "keep up the good work" or "I think that you're good at maintening a certain quality of your submission" which are warming my heart and help me to think that after all, I'm perhaps a not so bad contributor).

Well, I'm going back to profile submissions for PC. With the iPhone publishing casual games that were on PC (see Magic Ball 2, Sprill, Hidden Mysteries, Interpol or even Bubble Bay) or on Wii (Equilibrio, Potpourrii), I'm trying to get some advances for profile minipic.

Anyway, the iPhone section is going pretty well, with Altaura submitting some screens, with Vermillion having added some games like Labyrinth, Vector Tanks or Heavy Mach (I'm grateful for him for doing so because I wasn't feeling to add them by myself but I'm not thanking him for getting more resources submission, mainly for heavy mach, on my shoulders.... I'm kidding ;)). With Intoxication who added at least another profile.... As you can see, everything is going well.

*blushing* I even added a game that is existing since a long time in terms of background but I never thought that I would dare to add it here. I can tell you that I wasn't sure that iSperm would have gotten through. Silly shy Vic, if Yumi machintruc reviewed by IP was on the site, being a visual japanese novel rated M or NC-17, why iSperm would have been rejected? It didn't stop me to have some weird moments... even when submitting the profile minipic! Yeah, silly shy Vic... *coughing*

EDIT: When I said that casual games were coming, I didn't expect in 48 hours to see Magic Ball 2, Dream Chronicles and Cooking Quest to be released. At least, I've submitted all the PC profiles...

You know that I'm also a contributor on MobyGames. I've just submitted reviews for Wolfenstein 3D for iPhone there and MG always asks an abstrack from the review.

4 of them were concluding by "Give us Doom on iPhone".

Yes. Some reviewers want Doom on iPhone. The original one, you know, the one I've written about two months ago, when I was defending the game.

Doom on iPhone.

It could be interesting. After all, Doom on mobile is already present with Doom RPG, with an interesting new way of playing it.

What surprised me what the fact that these reviewers were litteraly impatient to see Doom on iPhone. So, even if Holleshead said that "Doom was the grandfather of FPS", it seems that that the grandfather isn't so much forgotten. I didn't doubt about it as a lot of players are still playing it, mainly on multiplayer. But seeing that kind of "give me what I want" about Doom, I'm surprised.

As I'm not an iPhone player, I'm much more waiting for Doom 4 (and Painkiller Resurrection) on PC... oh yeah, and Max Payne 3 also. Without forgetting my favorite pairings in another domain *still under the influence of FMA chapter 94*.

Uhm, well, eeeer, about iPhone, I know, I know, I'm adding so much profiles but with what was approved, I've reduced my *txt file with URLs reviews. ^^'

Well, I don't feel really eager to add the profile for NeoSeeker but well, on MobyGames, they did, so, that's why the review is only published there.

I want to share it because I'm proud to say that I've played for the first time of my life a text parser game.

And it happens to be tied to the Chzo Mythos, between Trilby's Notes and 6DAS, which is why 6DAS was a late review here. I needed to review the three countdowns, that I briefly commended on 6DAS's review.

"Countdowns? Let me just say a word about it, if you're interested in it, I've reviewed it on another game site, MobyGames for being precise. So, what are the countdowns? They were made for introducing 6DAS, as a sort of something to make wait players. They're about the famous three aspects: Body, Soul and Mind. For getting short, the main element is the Frehorn's Blade, a minor item in 6DAS. The Body is about Frehorn and how he'll write his books (and make the blade) in 1779 (Frehorn was one of the playable characters in Trilby's Notes), The Soul is about a cultist who steals the blade in 2189 and The Mind is about the delivering of the artifact to a patient of the New Delhi Mental Institute in 2386. So every chapter of the Chzo Mythos are now tied strongly. The countdowns are interactive stories, I mean, it's a text parser or in another word, you'll have to type command."

Well, here is the first countdown review.

[BEGINNING. Well, as you can see, I'm trying to follow the "Tale of" logic in my title for all the saga.]

THE TALE OF FREHORN'S BLADE - THE MAKING (30/12/2008)

[Normally, this section is for positive points but I'm always doing an introduction, like on Neo.]

In order to satisfy players until the release of the last game in the Chzo Mythos, Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw did three games introducing this awaited sequel known as 6 Days A Sacrifice. And well, he just wrote interactive adventure stories... You know, the kind of game where you have to type the command after reading. No graphics, no soundtrack, just a text parser, a story and the download of a reader software like WinFrotz.

You must say that after having so much voiced complaints about the similar gameplay in Trilby's Notes, I'm a masochist to play this kind of game. Well, surprise, the logiciel is made for AZERTY and QWERTY keyboards and then, when you have played Trilby's Notes, you're used to find the right word... And I was also curious about these three countdowns.

Well, I'll begin with the storyline. The general plot for the three games is to follow the Frehorn's Blade destiny. This item play a minor role in 6DAS however. But the countdowns tied 5 Days A Stranger, 7 Days A Skeptic, Trilby's Notes and 6 Days A Sacrifice between each other. And, with no real surprise, these three games are speaking respectively about the Body (the present story), the Soul and the Mind, the three important parts of a human being in this quadrilogy.

So, the game begins in 1779 and put you in the shoes of Jack Frehorn, the famous guy who founded the Order of Blessed Agonies, the sect that is trying to bring Chzo, a pain elemental, in our world, by destroying the Body, the Soul and the Body of the Bridgekeeper, John Defoe or if you prefer, the murderous spirit of 5DAS.

You have been introduced to Jack in Trilby's Notes, during a flashback. Our man was interested in the occult matters and acquired a harpsichord, a piano in other words, made with the wood wall of the Unicorn Inn, an haunted mansion. Well, for those having played Trilby's Notes, we do know that the wood was the recipient of a tall man, the Prince, a puppet... errh, the right-hand of Chzo.

The Prince appeared the 28th July 1778, the King's Day and Jack, not wanting to die by his hands, shoot at him. Wrong idea. Because I still don't know how but Wilbur, his friend (and likely lover), was killed instead of the Prince. Frehorn begged him to spare him. The Prince did.

So, now, Jack is about to do what the Prince ordered him to do weeks ago. We're in August 1779, a year after Wilbur's death. And the same day of it, the 28th July, the Prince appeared again with instructions to do. After all, the Frehorn's Blade must be made and the prophecy must be written...

The gameplay is the usual one when it comes to text parser: type a command with easy word. What I love the most in it was that I didn't need to think in terms of QWERTY. I could write without looking and that's a good point. But will you believe me that I've only understood how to make move my character out of his basement by playing The Soul?

Indeed, for making move your character from a room to another, you have to type "walk" or "go" followed by a cardinal point ("north", "south", "east", "west", etc.) or by "up" or "down". Well, I can curse Trilby's Notes for the climbing stairs where you have to write "climb up" or "climb down'. That was so normal for me to type it in The Body that I was shocked when the following text appeared: "It's not a verb I recognize".

And believe it or not, but it's the same for "use". Instead, you have to find other verbs like "hit" if you need some violent actions or "put". I can guarantee you that the first minutes playing this game made me quit and try the Soul - perhaps this one would be less frustrating. Thanks to it, I've understood how to play. I finished it and then came back to The Body.

Stuck again. I needed a pen for writing the prophecy. I've finally got out of my basement jail for being stuck seconds after. No pen was present.

[Yesterday = 29/12/2008]
Yesterday, I've had an idea. Why not type "open drawer"? Bingo. Congratulations, you've written the prophecy. It was hard but you did it, Vic!

Something who would have taken perhaps maximum 30 minutes, took me the double.

It was interesting to see the 5DAS characters introduced in the Prophecy for the Guide (who is Trilby) and how they were described. But if I killed only the poor Number Twelve for having only this.... Luckily, I did know at the time that the tale of 5DAS written by Frehorn would continue in the next countdown, so...

[Here begins the negative points - Sometimes, I'm repeating myself from upper passages but it's mainly for reminding the reader what wasn't right if already mentioned]

As I've said, it's a text parser. Thanks to Trilby's Notes, I was used now to the useful verbs like get, take, open, etc.. But when I couldn't use the verb "use", I was... "Oh no, how to find another word for it?". I did find them. But after having worked hard for putting the blade into the pillar, I couldn't go out of the basement. If I hadn't played the second countdown, where you have to move a lot, I would never have finished this one..., I mean, advance.

The "open drawer" was also a difficult one. I don't know if English native speakers would have find it sooner than me but for me, it was hell to find the famous pen. I knew that I needed to write on my page, so, without pen, I couldn't finish the game. I don't know how it came to me that perhaps, I had to open drawers for finding something. Luckily for me, I did know the term drawer and didn't need to find a dictionary for translating the French term "tiroir" into its English counterpart "drawer".

So, yes, I didn't like the fact that it wasn't indicated clearly not to use "use" or to write a direction with "walk" or "go". I also didn't like the fact that no mention of drawer was made. Yes, obviously, a writing desk has drawers. But it's not obvious for everybody.

I hate also the fact that you can't scrollback directly. You had to switch between the "play" mode and "scrollback" mode. It was perhaps because I've downloaded WinFrotz... But Yahtzee was mentionning it and linked to a mirror site for download.

Also, I had a problem. Sometimes after submitting my command, or some parts of text weren't visible (so, you need to switch to "scrollback" mode where everything is in order and written) or you had previous text parasiting everything. You couldn't read clearly your story, you didn't know if you command will be taken in count, so the only thing I could do it was to press enter until I found a normal screen. I don't know why this was happening but it was very frustrating because after that, you needed to switch to the "scrollback" mode for reminding you where you had stopped before this cleaning process. The first time it happened, I was freaking out thinking that I've done something wrong.

[And here is the conclusion]

Like I've pointed, this game has no graphics or no soundtrack. WinFrotz is only proposing your text in white on a blue background, reminding me of "Fatal Error System". It's not really bad, you know. You can read well and it's not really hurting. Though I prefer the black text on white background like in the "scrollback" mode.

Only play it if you're interested in the Chzo Mythos or if you want to know more about the prophecy. Because if you think to find pleasure by playing it, forget it. I didn't enjoy myself, mainly because of the "I don't recognize the verb" or the famous "open drawer". Yes, I was happy to finally finish it. Yes, it was frustrating, perhaps more than in Trilby's Notes. But the storyline behind is something that I wouldn't have missed. It's not the plot of the year nor the complex one but it's still pleasant to see how Frehorn was lead to found his sect.

Anyway, I only recommend it to fans of text parsers or to curious people about the Chzo Mythos. The others will avoid it.

[END OF REVIEW]

Well, it was fun to write it but you can already suppose that I will reuse some parts of it for the two other countdowns.

I loved the Chzo Mythos quadrilogy and well, I was feeling mad during that time not to review 6DAS for Neo as I wanted to follow the chronology.

Anyway, I'm still under Chapter 94's influence (I'm still amazed by Riza Hawkeye), I've played Final Fight One on GBA that I bought recently (thanks to my DS accepting GBA carts), so expect a review soon... I hope.

On another note, it seems that I striked again for the iPhone section. I'm glad to have added Painkiller Resurrection though, as I'm eager to have at least in my "complete profile" one of my favorite series. I'm still waiting for the MAC profiles to be approved, as I've screenshots for them (added for PC today) and because I really need to get them in the garbage. I've also made a .txt file with all the resources for the iPhone games because, well, combine mine with Vermillion's and you'll find a LOOOOOOOT of resources. I don't want to spend a day for reviewing all the sites, remember, I've a lot, so it will be easier for me to copy paste.

I'm already apologizing to Wolfwood and other approvers for the work I'm making for them but it seems that I need at least to add a couple of profiles each day and particularly to add nearly every profile in a series (super collapse for example or virtual pet for iPhone but it was my bad, once I'm adding one, when I saw that there were 17 other profiles, I was really pestering against me for getting a new series when I had Snowy and Collapse to finish).

Severel sites are citing Todd Holleshead's interview published on Gamespot for giving news about Doom 4.

What is sure is that they're still hiring people for it, so, I'm pretty sure that it will not be released in 2010.

Todd revealed that it's not a sequel for Doom 3 or a reboot, like Doom 3 was for the classic Doom. Nope, it will be still a guy kicking demons'asses, in the same spirit of the saga but apparently, it will have a new exclusive story.

Damn. id, don't take 10 years for making a new Doom game, even if you're taking that path.

Don't make Doom 4 a new Duke Nukem Forever: announced since I don't know years but never released or never seen.

Perhaps I didn't tell you but I can have girlish behaviour. Mainly when it comes to pair people in a show. Well, my first real shipper feeling has been Harm/Mac in JAG and since, I'm a fan of a lot of pairings, whether they're crack/not likely to happen or nearly cannon/cannon. So I'm resuming:

JAG: Harm/Mac (main interest), Harried/Bud
House M.D.: Huddy (House/Cuddy)
CSI: Grillows (or Purejoy, Gil/Catherine)
CSI Miami: Calleigh/Ryan
CSI NY: Stella/Mac
E.R.: Lubby (Luka/Abby), Elizabeth/Mark, Neela/Gallant, Neela/Ray

Berserk: Guts/Casca
Yu Yu Hakusho: Genkai/Toguro (main interest, I was marked for life by the Episode 66), Yusuke/Keiko, Botan/Koenma, Kuwabara/Yukina, Shizuru/Sakyo
Full Metal Alchemist: Royai (main interest, Roy/Riza), EdWin (Ed/Winry), Arumei (Al/Mei), Olivia Armstrong/Miles, Maria/Denny, Lin/Ran-Fan
Naruto: Shikatema (main interest, Shikamaru/Temari), JiTsu (Jiraiya/Tsunade), NaruHina (Naruto/Hinata), NejiSaku (Neji/Sakura), KakaAnko (Kakashi/Anko)
Bleach: IchiRuki (Ichigo/Rukia)
Gundam Seed (Destiny): Asucaga (main interest, Athrun/Cagalli), Kira/Lacus, Dearka/Milly, Shinn/Lunamaria, Mwu/Mwurrue
Beck: Maho/Koyuki

Half-Life: Gordon/Alyx
Prince of Persia: Prince/Elika
Max Payne: Max/Mona

So, back to Riza Hawkeye from FMA. With Olivia Armstrong, she's my favorite character in the manga. When she lost it with Lust, it was really a great scene. When Arakawa showed us her back, I'm not a male but damn, what a woman! And then, when discovering she already knew Roy before the army, it was something unexpected. Well, to tell you, I've discovered it when I began to read the manga around the chapter 71/72, when Riza discovered who Selim Bradley was.

I loved when she was preparing herself with Breda and Fuery, waiting for Mustang to arrive.

Chapter 93 was already something epic, with Roy and Riza coming and discovering how Envy killed Maes.

But chapter 94... It's about Roy and Envy, yes but when Riza made the decision to follow her colonel, I can smell some epic moments. And when Envy saw Riza and grinned... The next page, contrary to a lot of people, I really believed that Envy was disguised as Riza, misguided by the fact Riza grinned and put her gun on Roy. In fact, it was Envy disguised as Roy and the trick used by Riza was really a genius idea, that made nearly all Royai fans squeal in the same time. "When we're alone, the colonel calls me always Riza". I don't know how Riza came to use this trick and how she knew almost instantly that it wasn't Roy but if that woman isn't in love with Roy, she must be really a great friend.

And then Riza vs Envy... Riza is clearly powning Envy. But a lot of Riza's male fans must have been drooling because of a single image: Arakawa shows Riza taking guns from behind... letting the reader see Riza's butt... Damn, the way it was drawed... I'm maybe a female but that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate looking to a woman's body when it comes to manga or anime.

The rest of the chapter managed to surprise me. Finally, Riza is having again her hair down. And the angry/bloody Riza at the end, despite being wounded badly, putting her gun behind Roy's head (again...), that Riza is scary but damn'sexy, with the way her coat is floating....

Why FMA is a monthly published manga? The cliffhanger is really killing me. What will happen now that Roy is clearly out of himself? And Riza?

Damn you Arakawa, even if I wasn't a Royai fan, even if we got finally Denny realizing that Maria Ross isn't dead, even if we got Grunman laughing (he showed his true ambition but I don't think that he's willing to sacrifice what is letting of his daughter, in other words, his granddaughter, who happens to be Riza Hawkeye), even if I'm sad not to see Olivia in this chapter (but she had great moments), well, Arakawa, leaving us, FMA fans, with that cliffhanger, you've managed to get us waiting with impatience the next chapter, monitoring the web for any kind of spoilers, with a lot of fanart artists or fanfic writers trying to imagine a story of what will happen next, in other words, Arakawa, you're officially my favorite manga artist with FMA, you're a genius!

And because Riza got a great moment, because Riza was already having great moments but the way you designed the fight, the way she was behaving, the way she's clever, the way she was finally looking so damn feminine without having her with a naked back, with her hair down in battle... Riza is officially my favorite manga character, second in terms of Anime/Manga world (Genkai still being my number one there).

Envy being powned by Riza, who isn't using alchemy but with only bullets, being outsmarted by Riza, with a trick - How Riza did come to use it? Damn, there is something under it: or it's because of the rumors in HQ, rumors Arakawa never showed apart from a remark from Rebecca when she visits Riza, or there is something else: or Riza is showing somewhere what she desires (I'm a Royai fan), or they're really together. Because coming with that trick, when under a stressing situation... there are so much other things that could have worked but this one?

There is something else, whether it's Royai or not, but at least, Envy should have known that it was perhaps about friendship, nope, Envy did just jump to the conclusion that they were together. Envy is smart enough: he was Gracia when killing Maes, without forgetting to take Maria's appearance, he was Maes when trying to kill Roy (but Roy seemed being smarter), he managed to lure Mei into freeing him (Mei is a smart little girl), well, Envy fell for that. Despite having a conversation with "lieutenant" and Riza saying "sir" or "colonel", where Riza should have said Roy if they were truly together, he still fell for that.

Which lead me to the next question: Was Riza checking if it was really Roy? Nope. She grinned. Meaning that she already knew that it wasn't Roy there. So, how can she tell? Was it the same feeling with Gluttony and Selim. But she didn't felt it from Lust, am I mistaken? And she didn't felt it when she confronted Envy/Roy at the beginning. So how the heck did she know that it was Envy?

I want the chapter 95 and now.

Damn, Naruto is published every week. Why isn't FMA? Damn, damn, damn.

After the announce of the Sniper Pack for TF2 at the beginning of the month... wait, at the early beginning of the month, IGN and several sources in German reported that a new Painkiller game will be released.

Yeeeeeeeea! Back to Purgatory to kick demons' asses (what I was already doing in the series Doom)! Yeah, Daniel is back....

WHAAAAAAAAAT? NO MORE SEXY DANIEL GARNER (in artwork and in Painkiller because in Battle out of Hell, he lost his sexyness because of a damn change of face)????

Don't tell me that they'll make Belial and his humor back?

Ah no. Name is Wild Bill Sherman, CIA agent, assassin and killed himself for protecting people. Great. It was great not to know Daniel's past, making us speculate on what the heck he did for deserving Purgatory, now, we know about Bill. A CIA agent is made for purgatory. It's easier for Paradise and Hell to ask him to strike the enemy without getting their pretty hands involved, well, at least, not to get them dirtier than they are.

What is great is the fact that the original weapon, named the Painkiller and having given its name to Daniel Garne as some voices during the game were asking "to kill the Painkiller" (I doubt that this weapon is alive), is back along with new weapons apparently. Also, it seems that the graphics will be darker than the original one was and then, well, dear Bill will learn how to survive Purgatory, after all, Daniel Garner did it during 30 years without knowing why he was here and before being given its mission which is the story of PK, followed by PK BOOH and Belial, being the half-angel, half-demon, has grown up in this war, knowing how to survive (mainly because Mommy was a demoness and was the one that raises him as Daddy didn't want to have a contact with little Belial).

I can't wait to be at the end of the year.... Wait, yes, I don't want to be. Because in real life, that would mean if I don't find a job, going to the unemployement service, that would mean also other things... damn damn damn. It's like waiting for Roy Mustang and Riza Hawkeye to get together in FMA or the end of Naruto for just knowing what will happen to all the pairings possible... Or even the end of the NaruHina Chronicles from Mattwilson on DeviantArt, with favorite pairings in it (except for NejiTen and SasuSaku, I'm a fan of NejiSaku) - Shikatema, NaruHina, KakaAnko, ChouIno - and with a possible appearance of Asuma and Jiraiya still in the living world, perhaps resurrected? What we know is that one of these mysterious characters is having a similar hair fashion style as Jiraiya and one of them is remembering Kurenai. Even Tayuya is back in it. Damn, if Matt is making Asuma back, I know that Kurenai will fall in his arms quickly but I'm wondering how Tsunade will react to a Jiraiya alive, after what happened, as the NHC is set after the whole Pain/Madara arc.

Anyway, I'm waiting for the Sniper Pack and Painkiller: Resurrection. And as a girl, I'm also waiting for the future face of the character. Hey, not my fault if I find Gordon Freeman, Max Payne in Max Payne 2, the Doomguy in Doom 3 and Daniel Garner the most sexy male character games I've met. For the girls, well, Mona Sax (mainly in Max Payne 2), Astra Galinsky in Ghost Recon, Kure Galanos in Rainbow Six, Elika in PoP, Alyx Vance in HL2... and Lara Croft (I'm a fan of hers even if I don't play games anymore games with her - I want the 10th anniversary edition, I've played the original Tomb Raider)....

Oh god, you'll say, not again iPhone!

Uhm yes.

Poor Woolfwood did have to approve all my casual games and iphone. Well, not the Mac version or the Sega CD titles or the Linux ones, but he did gave me a lot of resources to submit. Luckily, all the games weren't reviewed... I knew it so, it wasn't a real day of work.

But then, well, if you think I'll stop with iPhone, for someone who is playing only on PC/DS/PSP (count GBA/GB carts in it), you're far away from it. And guess what? I found new sites with reviews. I'm perhaps a masochist after all.

Anyway, today, my main database for it, Apptism, who is giving release date of an update if major and if so, makes me click on activity for finding when the game was added to App Store for a sort of release date, particularly when it's a game which isn't reviewed by IGN (but their release dates are funny), by Slide to Play (a nice looking site) or by any other good site, well, Apptism, that database with more than 300 pages of games (20 on page), included the lite version which are same games but with less content, like a demo, Apptism was out today.

Damn. I was like "How can I add games now?". You see, Apptism is providing official descriptions, coming directly from the App Store. You can check it on iTunes, you'll see. The database is also acting like GameRankings, so, well, I need to do it for "What's on Iphone", which is also a "database" but not real organized.

So, what's new in iPhone Land? Well, apart from new releases, I have noted that some games were already released elsewhere: Azkend for example was a long-time product on PC and Mac. Or Diner Dash, who was released on PC, Mac, DS, PSP and who is coming on PSN, XBLA and Wiiware.

So, as for The Treasures of Montezuma or Armado or Bugdom II, I was somewhere forced to add the PC and Mac counterpart. True. So, as you can see, an iPhone game can in reality be a port of something already existing and which is not in Neo database. It's true that some games were already added by others and by myself, which is handy for minipics or descriptions but an iPhone game can also bring new entries elsewhere than on iPhone, particulary when it comes to less known games or to casual ones.

An iPhone game can also oblige you to create new series like Tap Tap Revenge for example, even if it's also valid for others platforms. When I added the rest of Tap Tap series, I was also having another one in mind: Snowy on PC. And what happened? Problem with the submission form.

With iPhone section and the new profile update, I never reported so many problems whether it was to Krunal via PM or MSN or via the forum.

So, it's making me wonder: am I among the few ones that are using so much Neo that we can report quickly a problem in areas where people are submitting less?

Another thing that is back and I'll report is the fact that again the A Wii section isn't available anymore again.

Back to iPhone Land. Someone submitted a profile. Good, good, after reading it, it would have been one I would have tossed aside. The same contributor asked a question about screenshots, meaning that he's planning to submit some. I've seen minipics about them, excluding mines. iPhone Land is beginning to live and I love that.

But still, iPhone Land is full of little games, made by one person only, games I'm adding when I feel that it's time to add them for me. Meaning that you can do it instead of letting me doing it, which I'm pushing you to do because if I can make the iPhone section bigger each day because of 10 or 20 profiles in queue, I can't add everything and I have not the pretention to do it by myself.

I've managed to put a belote game, because I couldn't toss it aside as I'm a belote player. I've managed to put some sport games which aren't my domain, mainly when it comes to what you're calling football or golf or baskeball. Yep, I prefer to add soccer (football for me) games. Real Soccer 2009 is the fine example of it.

Ok, I'll go back to business before going on TF2. Yesterday, someone gave me a compliment about our rush on roof on Badwater for getting some sentries out. I tried to heal till death and it paid. I didn't lost my medic touch because it's the first time in two weeks that I got back to playing on TF2 and not helping on achievement servers.

Damn. I want that sniper update so bad. I'll probably do it in achievement server, as I'm not playing frequently sniper. I just hope that we'll not have some particular maps to play, like an arena one.

I'm wondering if I'll not count how many iPhone profiles I've submitted so far, I'm really curious about it.
vicrabb blogged

You know that my only multiplayer game is called TF2 and it's mainly because it was in the Orange Box and the style was just "no-need-to-be-realistic-to-be-fun".

When I first began, I was afraid to play as it was my first time online - yeah, people, I didn't play at all Counter-Strike or Team Fortress Classic (for this one though, I explored it with creating servers).

My first thought was: I want to be helpful. Medic should be good. Yes being medic is implying that generally, you're not protected when you have to, that your weapons are weak for defending yourself and that you can heal spies without you knowing it.

I tried all the classes. I was fine with Pyro, I love Spy Burning. For Sniper, I love it but I really need to train even if sometimes, I have my lucky moments. I love being Engineer, though it was a late revelation. I'm even liking Demoman but I'm only efficient when ubered and in front of a sentry.

After a nine-months hibernation, justified by university and the fact that it was my last year, I return to TF2 to discover new maps, three classes updates and a need to reajust to the newbies servers from HK. They're the best!

But there were some achievements I was sure never to have as I'm dying pretty quickly. Even if I'm still wondering how the heck I did earn fairly Hypocritical Oath (kill a spy you were healing).

So, you find me at an achievement server, trying to get what I want, without even noting that it was instant spawn, so, no freezecam shot. Damn. Photostroika and Autopsy Report were ranked top among the ones I couldn't do normally (I did Photo at the beginning of a round and I was helped for Autopsy Report). Strangely, I wasn't having the same problem with Freezer Burn. Well, after all, I'm a spy burner, so, I'm killing and as Medic, I'm much the healing type, so, I don't kill often... It's pretty rare when I'm doing it.

I began to be a regular on one achievement server. I wanted to help people. I wanted to be useful. Despite having been kicked by votekick because someone thought I was speaking too much (I have no mic though) and despite having some VK against me, without succeeding, I met the owner. He saw the fact that I was a regular, that I was helping, that I was asking for respecting the rules (I'm not really respecting them when it comes to self-defense: you can't kill real players unless they're ok with it but when I need a name or when I'm fed up to be killed for nothing, well I broke myself rules, hell, the owner is also doing it) and that I wasn't hesitating to initiate votekick.

He asked to be admin. As I was more often on the server than him. I accepted it.

I still feel like a severe admin. When I'm speaking with the owner about specific problems, I'm surprised how much he's more severe than me: "you don't need to warn people" - "ban them if they're initiating a vk or a vb against you" - "ban people trying to impersonate you"... If I'm warning less, especially with a full server, if I'm just kicking instead of a ban when someone initiate a vk against me (despite knowing that I'm admin....), if I was amused by someone trying to claim that I was admin as I know who is admin and who is not, well, sometimes, I'm really as severe as him.

I ban yesterday someone who just called my admin friend a *bleep*. Yeah, the famous n-word. I'm maybe speaking french but I understand the term. I don't allow racism, even if it's anger who is driven the player. It's in the rules: no racism.

He called my friend a *bleep* but I just told him that he should be lucky that he was a "freezing" admin (he freezes annoying players) when I'm the kicking type.

Another one was shocked because of the day ban I've inflicted him. He's an helper, he knows the no sentry rules and he's building one? Given the fact that he uses the N-Word just before (but as he was nice, I've just asked him not to use it anymore - he was shocked by my demand!), I didn't hesitate. A day ban.

Despite telling him that it was only a day-ban, that normally, it should have been perm ban because of the n-word, he continues to argue and well, I know that I'm considered as a bad and mean admin now. My problem is that I'm less severe than the owner of the server. I'm not a banning admin, I kick more than I ban. But being lectured by someone who just got what he deserved, with a sanction that was "less" than I would do normally...

As you see, being admin is really difficult: some people kicked continue to annoy you and they're always trying to kill you because you've kicked them but for the majority of the people I've helped: I'm great, I rock, I'm the best, etc..

Sometimes, I wish that people pay attention when I'm writing that I'm admin. When I'm asking something, I mean it. I don't care if you're also doing achievements, when I'm asking to stop to kill me when I'm helping, you have to. And when I'm asking not to kill the bots I'm teleporting for someone else, it's the same. When I'm asking not to be killed when I'm in the bot teams (I love blue, not my fault), because I'm doing some sentry checking or anything else, you have to listen. I think that some people didn't believe that I can kick their asses when I want. And when I do, when they come back, they're :"SORRY ADMIN". Well, don't be sorry, you didn't see that I can teleport myself and that unless I'm hacking, which I'm not doing, that is an admin exclusive action?

Achievement servers are hard to handle. It's always the same: I'M DOING ACHIEVEMENTS! I CAN KILL YOU!

Read the rules before. You will learn that killing real blu players isn't allowed unless they're ok with it. I'm not at your service. You have to ask to before.

Add the fact that some don't understand English and you'll have a hard night as admin on that kind of achievement servers.

It's always a shame, because sometimes, I'm fed up to be constantly kicking every five minutes because "noobs" can't understand the rules. Or because they don't care about rules. It happens. So, they're kicked. You can't play with rules? Out of the server. I'm nearly saying "Out of MY server", even if it's not mine.

Sometimes, I'm wondering if I'm a good admin. But when I see the people happy to have met me, happy to see me always giving an hand, well, that means that I'm not so bad. That the ones thinking the contrary didn't understand a thing.

TF2 is a multiplayer game: meaning that you'll meet "idiots" who think the world is their and that they're the greatest, that they can't be kicked...

Strangely, I had posivitive reactions when people learn that I'm a girl... and I got more respect when they learn that I'm 26. Anyway, I'm happy at least not to having encounter someone sexist.

I'm letting you because I need to help my mom in the garden.

Edit: About iPhone, as it's my favourite subject since a few days, it seems that I've gone beyond madness. I don't care about the number now. Nope. I just hope that my PC/Mac profiles will be approved this time. I've resources to submit for them without forgetting that some are about casual games I should have submitted a long time ago but delayed because not appealing at that time. Now, with iPhone, I'm not delaying some games as it could be ported to the iPhone. At least, I will have a profile description and a minipic to submit.

Listening to: I Am Loco - Il Nino (CSI Miami official soundtrack). Just before, it was Babylon Madness - Cradle of Filth.
Humor: Tired from gardening
Eating: Nothing, supper time is already passed but well, I love pasta.
Drinking: Water
Watching: Currently nothing but I'm watching a French show: Un dîner presque parfait (An almost perfect dinner) where 5 people who don't know each other invite each other each evening for a week for a dinner with an apero, an entry, a main plate and a dessert. The guests note the decoration, the menu and the ambiance of the one inviting. It's very great for seeing new recipes but also sometimes very funny.
Playing: TF2 - I should play soon FEAR 2 or SWAT 4 the expansion or CSI: NY. Or Blood Ties (again).

Yesterday, a member submitted resources.

Today, I'm seeing some screenshots waiting for approval. Not that it was in this domain that I was feeling alone.

I'm feeling less alone now.

That doesn't mean that Wolfwood will not make an overdose of iPhone profiles. I'm also somewhere "punishing" myself - not that it's a punishment but I don't rememeber the expression in English for expressing what I want to mean -. Because I'm checking for resources:

- Mac Life
- MacWorld
- Slite to Play
- Wireless IGN
- Gamezone (since yesterday)
- Destructoid (since yesterday)
- Thunderbolt (one review only but I suppose that many will come)
- 148app
- AppCraver
- Digital Chumps (they have only 3 reviews for now)
- Honestgamers (they still don't have staff reviews for iphone but I'm staying alert)

As you can see, only 5 sites aren't really used but I still need to check. The others are the responsible for getting me zombified at the end of the day.

Well, as today, I don't need to do resources checking (usually, you don't have profiles approved during the week-end), I'm ending up to profile submissions or to "normal" resources submissions.

Maybe I'll finish my French faq on CSI Miami and perhaps I'll update Doom 3 or Ultimate Doom. I'll see. Even if I'll visit my grandmother. Without forgetting to return to TF2.

Anyway, for Chad, I think I've dreamed of Neo but I don't know how it came or the fact about it. I'm pretty sure to have made a shortcut to it but it's blurred.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! Even if it's not Easter, I'll do it in advance.

I didn't stalk them, It's just that I added some people on my friend list for being at ease when PM them.

Well, apparently IP and DA (Insanity Prevails and Dark Arcanine) added me as a neofriend.

Now, I know five of them: Earlimoon, Chad, Asianz, IP and DA.

Well, now, I'm getting reassured that they're them.

Well, I understand myself.

Now, I'm going back to check if the resource submission form is back, I've a lot to do for the new iPhone section. I'm currently the top one member to have submitted the most resource/profile for it. Wolfwood, Earlimoon and probably some higher staff have also done some contributions. I just hope that someone will fill what I'm not submitting. And trust me, I've decided not to submit some profiles because I don't feel like I should... for the moment.

I'm still also providing SEGACD profiles, even if there are games missing, mainly those only realeased in Japan. I can't provide a good profile description, as I'm always searching official one. GameFaqs and MobyGames are generally providing the back of the cover... when it's in English (Moby is also providing foreign language ad-blurbs but Neo is requiring English).

I'm currently under R for it if you want to know. Next category could be N64 or Saturn (I've started Saturn before switching to sega CD). Or Gameboy. Anyway, it's perhaps ambitious but Neo is worthy for it.

It's reminding me that I should continue SingStar for Mobygames but well, I've done an overdose of it. I will continue when SingStar Rocks! and Rock Ballads will be approved.

Me? A crazy contributor? Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer....

... I will strangle some people if it's a joke. TF2 class pack is really something good when it's your favorite class.

Despite being an announce of the 2nd April, so, yesterday for me, it's still bugging me that the famous jarate is a joke, an April's Fool.

I wasn't around when Medic and Pyro, my two main classes, were updated. For Heavy also. But as it's not my favorite class, it wasn't a problem.

Then the horrible Scout Pack. I hate being Scout, I suck playing at it. So, you can imagine that I was perhaps thrilled to have new achievements but I actually let Neo down for some days for achieving 97% of the scout update. I didn't want to have some in normal way. I unlocked them on achievement server.

And now Sniper. That's why I'm screaming: YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Despite being a near-average sniper (I'm pretty sure that I need to train again), I love that class. I mean, my favorite weapon in a game is the one I can zoom with. So, well, I'm happy to see that Sniper incoming, I'll be willing to try to get some in a normal way.

But the Jarate? The urine as weapon? It's perhaps the real joke... even if the spy face in the pic is priceless. If sniper can counter-attack spies, I'll be happy. Because spies are too powerful sometimes, with the update made.

BTW, I hate scouts but I love the Energy Drink and the Sandman. Weird, uh?

Today, I stumbled upon a fan page on Facebook for Neoseeker. I do know that MobyGames has, one, I joined it as I'm a contributor there (with already past 6.000 points and I can tell you that it's harder to get it on their site than on Neo).

But Neo? Perhaps that it was a discussion at that time... But anyway, I joined it. I was wondering who was who among the member. Me? Well, you will really find me easily.

Apart from that, I'm a year older since yesterday, so instead of 25, now, it's 26. Damn time. It's really running fast.

I submitted a news on GameGrep. It's my second submission there, last one being more than a month old (was about TF2).

I wouldn't have been on it if I didn't received an email from Neoseeker Website. I immediately thought about GG and I did have the surprise to see my news approved. Not that it shouldn't but as it's about Sherlock Holmes coming on 360, as I'm the one who submitted the profile for the PC (and the 360 currently pending) and as I'm not a "user" of GG, I was surprised to see that so soon.

By checking my profile, I've seen something weird.

"People who are a fan of me: 10".

WHAAAAAAAAT?

I'm wondering what I did to earn 10 fans. As I've said, I'm not a GG user. I'm pretty much discreet there and I'm comfortable with my low rating.

I'm wondering if it's tied to my Neoseeker profile, where I'm not so discreet in terms of contributing. Hell, I'm even in the top 3 when I'm only a member for 1 year and 1 month on Neo! But if you try to track my forum activity, I'm not even 200 messages! Meaning that I'm perhaps active but still discreet, doing my own work without really revealing myself on forums. I wish I was still just an anonymous member, like I was the 11th Feb. 2008. But with my quick rising through the classement (wasn't even aware when I begin to contribute that I was going so fast through it) and my actual position, I'm aware that I'm not a simple member for a lot of Neo people but I'm still considering myself like a simple member who is just doing what she can for Neo. I mean, I'm not a great profiles contributor by always relying on official description, I'm an average reviewer that is struggling with her English, I'm not someone who is contributing cheats code, I'm bad with minipic, in fact, the only domain where I'm condisering myself as great here is probably the resource domain BECAUSE they're the reason of my rising. After all, only this domain would have made me enter the top 20.

Inspiring people? Why not? Some members did pm that I was stimulating them to contribute more. Still, I don't like to be taken as example.

But having fans?

Don't mistake me. I'm happy to see that some people did consider me as someone worthy. By saying that, you already understand that I have issues with self-confidence (if you didn't see it in the previous paragraph). Why being fan of me?

I will never know that, I prefer to tell myself that it's just because I wrote a reply that pleased them, that's why. If it's the case, well, I'm relieved. If it's people that I already know their opinion of me, it's also alright. But as I don't know who is fan...

I know, you'll say that I'm thinking too much. But tell me, when you're considering yourself like a simple member, doing modest contributions to Neo (after all, a lot of my complete profile are casual games, not big commercial games on next-gen consoles) and not really contributing on GG, how will you feel with fans?

It's perhaps only 10 fans but it's making me as more important than I want to think. Honestly? I don't want to feel important here. I don't want to feel like a particular member, even if somewhere, my CRS approver status is already making me as particular.

I just hope that it will be staying at 10.

Monday. Waking up. Going to bathroom for daily needs. Putting my uniform. Thanks to the technology, our clothes are cleaning themselves, so, I can sleep and work with the same dress.

The routine. Well, something bothered me. Oh no, it wasn’t about my dream, after all, it was probably the effect of having read the inscription. Something was missing.

Then, something nearly froze me. I couldn’t hear the usual noise made by the ship’s engines. The Mephistopheles was perhaps an old vessel and subject to break down but here, just after my dream, it was suddenly taking a turn, a wrong turn.

I decided that the crew was probably already trying to make work the motor and as I wouldn’t be a great help for them, I should eat a breakfast. The canteen being next to my room, it wasn’t a big deal.

But my surprise was total when I saw Adam, sitting at the table, lost somewhere in his thoughts. He was the engineer and he wasn’t trying to repair the thing? Anyway, I tried to speak to him. Yep, he was strangely not humoring me, he was afraid of something and I just got a “You’re not my mom” in the face or in other words, “Screw you”. He was trying to convince me that it will be soon in order but I couldn’t really believe him. Anyway, I needed to eat and the choice was really great. English or Continental breakfast. It was like choosing between the pest and the cholera, each meal tasting awfully the space junk food. English breakfast was simply giving me the nausea and Continental was always served with that abject butter. I chose the cholera, Continental being better than English in my sense, but I wished that we could cook ourselves.

After my meal, I took the butter and I planned to do the usual, to throw it in the garbage can in the cargo bay, as the Earth Federation wanted us to eat everything packed, a good crew member is someone who eats his whole plate and who is giving the good example of a high education.
Bla bla bla. I knew that even Serena was just putting what she didn’t like in the garbage can but we never discussed on it. It wasn’t our fault if the garbage can in the canteen is programmed to detect food in quantity and to refuse the remains of your poor meal.

I tried to take the lift but it was also broken down. It shouldn’t happen, normally, the lift should be working as the secondary energy generator was doing its job to provide us what we needed. I turned to Adam again, who was entirely lazy this day. “It’s not important”, “It will work soon”. A look in the maintenance shaft never killed anyone and as Adam wasn’t really cooperative, I didn’t have a choice. I went back to our room for getting Adam’s tools on the desk and then proceeded to open the panel.

I could swear that Adam wasn’t amused by my concern. Usually, he would have told something but here, a “Do what you want” got out of his mouth. As if I was right to worry about everything.

It was the first time I loved the butter because well, without it, I couldn’t take the object which was blocking the lift. After closer examination, it was a machette, with bloodstains. Some were old, some seemed to be fresh.

Adam wasn’t even interested by the weapon. But I swear, I saw an expression of panic in his eyes, as if I’ve discovered something bad.

I decided to report to Barry the incident. But when I got on the bridge, Serena and Angela were there. But no Barry. Angela announced me that the Captain had disappeared. Where, we didn’t know but what was sure was that he never showed up. When I showed the weapon to Angela, she told me that it wasn’t a good idea to have taken it without precautions. My fingerprints were on the blade. Something I’m pretty sure that they’ll put as proof of me being guilty for the massacre aboard the scoutship. The families will probably be satisfy to see my head roll for something I didn’t commit. Again, how can they understand that I found the blade in the lift and that it was belonging to John DeFoe? DeFoe was a spirit I destroyed and I was the only survivor. The ideal culprit.

Back to that Monday. For doing it short, everything we needed for fixing our problem were in Barry’s room. Even the code for sending a SOS to the nearer ships.

I just decided to see Adam and William for trying to know if they met the Captain or not. If Adam wasn’t worrying, William, at my surprise, was also having the same opinion: a grown man who was probably trying to solve our problem.

During that day, I couldn’t get out of my mind that that weapon could have been used for a sinister goal. When I went back to Serena and Angela, they found that something was blocking the radio masts and by doing so, it wasn’t possible to send a message.

I shouldn’t be the one to go outside and check the masts. But Adam didn’t want to move from his canteen, so, he gave me the airlock pass.

The casket was open. The airlock is in the cargo bay. So was the casket.. But it was open. Someone opened it. Like in my dream. And I was having that bad feeling that it was having a connection to Barry’s disappearance.

Angela didn’t want to believe me when I exposed my theory. For her, it was nothing. For me, it wasn’t. Because what was blocking the radio masts was just Barry’s body.

That’s how Monday ended for me. I didn’t sign up for a bloody mission even if my presence on board was due to a death. But I never thought that I would be confronted to a murder. Because Barry was experienced. It couldn’t be a mistake from his part. It couldn’t be a suicide. Angela agreed with me. A murderer was among us.

Last week was full for me, as after having done TF2 scout achievement, I've played Legendary, a FPS I wanted to try despite the critics. I've bought it at the beginning of Feb. with Mirror's Edge.

Well, I was disappointed by the soft except for the chapter in the British campaign. It was really a great level but unfortunately the others were just odd.

The first one is mainly about escaping, you have to wait before having a real fight and your weapons are ridiculous. Then suddenly, you just have a serious issue with Black Order, as the cutscene did show only three soldiers for having something like six during the game.

The second chapter was about the Golem but there were a real frustrating passage with the tentacles. And with that screwed checkpoint system, it's being more than I can support.

Anyway, I've pursued the game for having three shorts chapters after the British campaign. It's just disappointing when you know that the three first were long enough. I'm not speaking about episode but I'm speaking about the "clear" parts of the game: Trying to escape and find Vivian, the attack against the Golem, the British town, the Black Order Attack, the devastated New York and the last assault.

Anyway, I've uninstalled the game as I wasn't happy with it. I know, I should listen to reviews but it's your own opinion that matters. If you don't try, you can't tell.

I'm back also to casual gaming, as DD Seasonal Snack is free now at iWin.

I need to go to prepare lunch, well, it's too late anyway but I must begin the cooking of some vegetables.

Long time ago, in 2003 (the 23rd December for the translation in English), I've written this piece of musing. At that time, I was still studying archaeology and well, I was bored during a lesson, so, I wrote this crap. Crap? Well, just because I need to update it and because it was just coming from my immature mind. I will make a separate post later with my opinion coming from my nearly 26 years old brain.

"When the videogame became a reality, nobody couldn't think that it would be one day with an archaelogist or historic background. In fact, who would have played those boring subjects in a domain where the only word is pleasure?

I don't want the story of there two subjects in the virtual world. But I can affirm something: History and Archaelogy are in good place in the videogames

Short list:

- Versailles ( 2 opus )
- Egypte ( 2 opus )
- Tomb Raider ( 6 opus + 3 add-on + 2 opus sur GB )
- Aztec
- Jerusalem
- Age of Empires ( 3 opus, 3 add-on )
- Battlefield 1942
- Medal of Honor
- Vietcong
- Korea: Forgotten Conflict
- Paris 1313
- Chine: Intrigue dans la cité impériale (China: The Forbidden City)
- Conflict Desert Storm
- Commandos
- Earth Empires
- Civilization
- Pharaon
- Shogun Total War
- etc ( 1 ).

Take Lara Croft, explorer presented as an archaelogist. That's not the real archaelogy but the Indiana Jones view: I'll find you an artefact but somewhere, an real bad guy is wanting it. Well, archaelogy, that's not that.

But going further can be helpful
- Civilisation of Incas ( and not mayas as said in 1996: Incas were living in Peru and Mayas in Mexico. And Lara is going to Peru ! )
- an old church ( well "monastère" in french, I'm sorry I don't remember the word ) and some antics monuments
- Egyptian tomb

That's for the first game. You can see the mysterious civilisations ( Greeks, Egyptians and Mayas ).

For the second opus, Lara begins her adventure in China, on the Big Wall ( yes, that very long fortification! ). She goes to Venise, then explores an sunk boat, and after an interlud in Tibet, goes again in China. Where is the link with history and archaelogy? Big Wall ( I love that expression :) ) and the boat.

In Tomb Raider III, Lara is in India..., in London ( in a museum! ),....well, locations related to archaelogy.

And the Last Revelation transports you in Cambodge and Egypt, beautiful countries with a lot of history.

TR V includes Rome ( very archaeologic and historic town ) and an U-BOAT, a german submarine sunk during WWII.

Yes, these locations are suiting Lara very well, as she have the title of archaeologist. Without being consciencous of that, the player is in a world with archaeologic and historic things. In the real life, the same player would find those domains very boring.

But in a war game, what's like?

World War II is very common, always surprising. Take Medal of Honor or Commandos. You're rarely an nazi officer and if you are, you're a spy for the good part. You can't laugh with WWII because cicatrices aren't made. Nazis demonstrated that human being could be so cruel and so immoral.

But why not be an German officer? A game on-line with the possibility to play an German must be accepted. The player lambda doesn't necessary agree with the ideas who changed the face of the world in 1940. Every gamer knows the goal of the game: defend his position against enemies and not kil peoples. But some guys didn't really understand that thing. Neo-nazis ( that's a real thing ) made their own clan, played Germans for a diffusion of their ideas. The communauty of players was shocked by that type of utilisation. Don't reject the fault on the game, he's never been conceived for that.

You can play pilots, too. Combat Flight Simulator has that advantage of three camps: Germany, UK, USA. I flyed as a German and my only preoccupation was to win again the enemy, the computer.

Even seas are used. Enigma, Sea Dogs, etc are exemple of that.
Games about Vietnam are arriving. American people can speak about that desastrous war.

Vietcong is typical. The pleasure is placed in the first place.

The First Gulf War has his game: Conflict Desert Storm. Exited a little after the beginning of the Iraqi Freedom, he doesn't desserve the americano-british cause like we are tempted to believe. Developpers are speaking about a war where politic is important. They're innovating; too much games have a story in the past.

But building his civilisation is one of the concepts the most played. Colonization, Pharao, Age of Empires are explicits titles. Well, I'll analyze Age of Empires.

You can decide of the destiny of an antic population, you're creating your army, you're conquering the world. Yes but the background is historic: the missions are matching to an historic reality. You're learning something while playing a game.

And the fact you can play someone in the past is renforcing your culture. I'm thinking about games from Cryo ( Egypt, Versailles, China, Rome, Pompei, etc. ). Yes, the games aren't really attractive because of their genre ( point and click ) but you have a little encyclopedy: you're learning by reading it.

All the peoples are concerned by that, Asia, Europe ans America first.
The World War I and the Korean conflict are beginning to interest the developpers.

Archaelogy is certainly rarely used but, linked with History since the beginning of the world, she is there in the game.

The worst is that young people love making a new history but when that's time for school and when it's time for a lesson of History, they're not happy...That's paradoxal.

We can't always blame videogame to make people more idiot. Videogame is a part of human culture.

The subject can lead to a real reflexion about the utilisation of History in the virtual worls: what can developpers make say to a game? Does it influence our vision of History ( good guys are they always the buddies we're playing? )? Why can't we played an enemy like an Irakian, a Vietcong or a Nazi? Has it a role in our mentality? You see it, there is very much questions. I'm a warned player but I'm also a philosoph ( well an amator ). I'm someone more interested in the litterair topic than scientific. But that doesn't stop me to like virtual blood. Well, stereotyps are really to throw very far away from us....

SPYKE MARTIN, future archaeologist and full-time gamer
( 1 ) If you know how much games with historic background exist..."

Uhm, yeah, it's a piece of crap indeed. Especially for the "make people more idiot".

And as you can see, my English was somewhat also crappier than now.

I've finally updated my guide for Doom 3 (PC). It's perhaps only one level but now, I've a foot in Delta Labs, so, I should be writing during this month till the level Inferno.

With the Ultimate Doom to maintain, with the four next Sam & Max and with Odysseus Kent and Pirate Fry 3 still in waiting, without forgetting the TF2 achievement guide that should be updated this month (thanks to scout pack), I've a lot to do. Oh, yeah, expect some more reviews, mainly about Sam & Max Episode 2 and Ultimate Doom. Dark, I'm waiting for your Doom 2 review also.

Unfortunately for everyone, my guides are all in French except for TF2, so, the majority of you will not understand what I'm writing. But you can still check them. And no, I don't plan to translate them. Are you nuts? Do you really see me translating my Doom 3 Guide in English? It will be suicide for me. Like the SingStar series on MobyGames.

They keep coming. Everyday, since my arrival, they're coming to see me, to observe me as if I was a sort of alien, someone not of their kind. And still, I'm born like them, I've grown up with them and I would have died peacefully like them, on the account that nothing would happen to me.

Unfortunately, I don't know anymore if I'll die in a bed in my room, in a bed in jail or during an planned execution.

I didn't kill my friends. I killed my father, yes, but I didn't kill my friends. I don't blame William, he was under the influence, so, I can honestly say that it wasn't a human being who murdered the crew that week.

Since the arrival of the rescue team, I'm a prisoner. They discovered that I was using my father's name, so, when they took a grip on me, it was easy for them to believe that I did the rest. It wouldn't have been easy if my cover was still on but at least, they would have done research.

With already a murder on my hands, they didn't do nothing. But the psychiatrists have a consensus on me: they still don't know how I could murdered my friends as my mental status is clean and not corresponding to a serial killer's profile.

Since then, they interned me in New Delhi Mental Institute, where I'm like a curiosity.

They'll finish by convincing me that I've killed them. I'm only thinking again and again about what happened. If I was the murderer, it would be easy for me.

I didn't kill Barry, I only killed his corpse which was possessed by DeFoe's spirit. I didn't kill Serena, I was outside when she was abducted and killed. I didn't kill Angela, she put me in jail and was killed in front of me by the Barry zombie. I didn't kill Adam, he was sucked into space, because William jammed everything. I didn't kill William, the one who promised him so much things killed him, just for his eyes. I would have been next if I didn't kill what William has made, a new body for DeFoe, just before the Charisma arrival.

But somewhere, I've killed Barry. I should have tried to convince him to throw back to space the package we've found and that he ordered to bring aboard. The inscription said that we shouldn't disturbed John DeFoe's eternal sleep. It was from 1997. Given the fact that everything happened in August 2385 and that we're the 3rd February 2386, a warning from nearly four centuries ago is just as sand on the beach: nothing important.

I've killed Serena. I should have come back in the ship when I heard the noises. I shouldn't have tried to find clues about where Barry's body went.

I've killed Angela. I was in jail and so? I should have tried to disrupt the beams when I saw the zombie enter the room.

I've killed Adam. I didn't give my hand for trying to retain him and to shut down the door. He just said to run, knewing that he would die and that he was at least saving my life. But see the result.

I've killed William. He was a rookie. He was having nightmares. I should have done more for him. He wouldn't have been influenced by the spirit.

We were in the Caracus Galaxy when it happened. William was explaining that he wasn't feeling well, that he wasn't belonging to the crew and that everyone, including his father, was looking at him as he wasn't part of the painting.

William Taylor was our physician. That was his first trip in space. My father was specialised in the counselling in close environment, especially when it comes to space. I tried to be the famous doctor like him but failed. When the man in red suggested me to push my father in the stairs and to take his identity, I didn't hesitate. I didn't want to push him to his death. But that killed him. 65 years of a life just ended. I took his ID and boarded the Mephistopheles. They discovered one week prior the end of the nightmare that an imposter was using Jonathan Somerset's ID.

Anyway, William came to me thinking that I was the great John Somerset. I knew what to do, after all, I've studied for this job but I didn't have the experience of it.

Then he just went to his sickbay. I decided to speak about William with Barry when he asked us to go in the meeting room.

Barry Chahal was nearing the retirement. It was his last mission. He was having the nasty use not to listen to recommendations. It wasn't this time that he would do an exception.

Angela Garret was the first mate. An efficient one. But she is too logical, for her, everything must be in place: no ghost, no spirit, no worthy feeling. Everything was rationalised.

Serena Kyle was also a rookie but she isn't really afraid of venturing in space. She was our pilot. She is used to every computer here. But also, she is someone who is following rules strictly. The fact that the Captain wasn't that kind of officer was worrying her.

Adam Gilkennie is our clown. He's always humoring everything. So, taking his job seriously isn't his forte. But he's a wonderful engineer. He was my roommate, so, I was close to him.

And then, me, Malcolm Somerset, aka Jonathan Somerset, the one with whom you share your feelings, the one who is helping you feeling better. I'm not the kind of person to stay in a white cell, just waiting that someone will do research about DeFoe and just say: hey, he's innocent for the Mephistopheles!

Everything was set. Barry found a package floating in space, well, the sensors detected it. Serena explained everything and just said that the highers were contacted and recommended to let it to a research ship.

As it wasn't an order, Barry asked Adam to bring it aboard. After that, he told me that If I needed to speak, his door was open and announced me that my presence was required by a first contact scenario rule. Great, I didn't knew that but managed to tell him that I was thinking that for a simple object, it wasn't the case.

After that, I took his invitation and spoke with him. Nothing important, just my concerns about the crew, about me and some other little things. I decided to speak with everyone except Adam who was working. I wanted to know their feelings about it.

As expected, it wasn't a big deal for them, except for Serena. After all, Barry did ignore a recommendation. But the rest wasn't worrying. Angela was just thinking about a motor and William, well, it wasn't the thing on his mind.

Just at the moment I wanted to look in my files, Barry required my presence. I went to the cargo bay for discovering a sort of black crate. Angela recorded a rapport. And I saw this inscription with a hat. Don't disturbed John DeFoe's eternal sleep or something like that. It was dated from 1997.

A dead. It was the last house for a man. Or I thought.

Anyway, it was time to sleep. We let the casket there.

Bad idea.

I've dreamed that it was opening itself.

I didn't know it at that time but it was a dream. A dream which happened the same night in the reality.

vicrabb blogged

Yeah, yeah, I've tried to have a blog but I have no patience to maintain one. Hope that now I'll do it.

You will not find here my life.

No. I already what you will find here. Some critics that I can't submit to Neo like the countdowns I've mentioned in my 6DAS review.

Or some writing. In English. I've already a sort of fanfic in my head. And I can still publish again my old thoughts, with my own OC in videogames world. He he, I feel some HL/Max Payne/R6 coming back again to life.

Anyway, I'm just here for sharing.

I wish everyone could understand French, my writing is much better in my language than the one in English.

Ok, going to sleep, it's 2.00 AM in Belgium and I need my rest.

Perhaps tomorrow?
