Hello and welcome to
Neoseeker Blogs (or, NeoBlogs!). This is the latest feature that Neoseeker is bringing to you. I hope you enjoy them and create some very interesting blog posts. I've been anticipating this feature for a while now so I'm glad that this is finally live.
Requirements
Just like NeoHomes you require
50 forum posts before you can start blogging!
Getting Started
The first thing you'll want to do is create your blog. You can do this by doing one of the following:
How to make a post
Making a blog post is very simple. Head on over the the
post creation page here you'll see a form where you may write your blog entry. Lets go over some of the fields
- Title: This is the title of your post. For instance, this posts title is called "NeoBlogs Launch!"
- Body: This is the bulk of your post and where you write all your thoughts and so forth down. Within this field you may use Neo Markup
- Categories: This part is required you must pick a category.
- Tags: These will help you keep things "organized" a bit. Think of it like gmail, not really folders but they help you keep track of things!
- Products: Just like GameGrep you can attach a product (Game/Book/Movie) to your post. If you're blogging about Gears of War 2, attach GoW2 to your post!
- Image: You may attach a single image to your post. This is your 'primary image' which you may choose a left/right/center positioning. NOTE: You may also use the img tags in your post too, you are not limited to only a single photo!
Customizing your blog
We've given you the ability to customize your blog to best represent your own unique style and personality. Every customize option may be found in your
blog prefferences. The three major customization tools available to you at the moment are:
- Ability to change your blog title
- Include a blog header image
- Custom CSS
Just like NeoHome's we allow you to add in your own styles so that you may make your blog look just as cool as your NeoHome. However, like NeoHomes you may not remove the ads!
If you need help customizing your blog with some CSS you can head on over to the following forums for help:
So does this mean we have to blog about a game or product or can we blog like you'd normally would on a blog?
But, it's difficult learning it from those general forums, I pick up a thing or two looking at the 'Whats wrong with this' forums, but I don't learn that much, and tbh, it doesn't help in any way in the long term.
I guess I'll have to go the old fashioned way, google it.
Or ask my Dad to come and help. He's a fogy in cooding and the like.
