Cali Here I Come!!
Ahhhhhh Cali. My birthplace, my home, my comfort zone! Cali is one of those unique places that really seems to fit me. And why wouldn't it? I was born and raised in San Diego after all. Unfortunately the soaring housing market, and shitty wages forced me to retreat to Arizona.....a place where most Californians scoff at. Even though we would come over and destroy their deserts.... >.>
The last time I came back to Cali I got 'Cali' tattooed on my stomach. I wish I could say that was a fond memory, but unfortunately after 4 hours of being drilled on the tattoo still isn't finished! The 'artist' who was working on me was on some drugs I figure. Either way, I haven't let anyone else touch the damn tat to finish/fix it because the pain is an extremely vivid memory!
This time I get to take my girls for the first time, and my step-son. Unfortunately we don't have room for my other step-son and he's still a tad bit wild and unruly for a vacation out of state. The girls are going to meet my family for the first time, and spend some quality time with their Grandfather who hasn't seen them in a year and a half. My family isn't too fond of traveling out of state. That's fine though, because I can't wait to show the kids the beach!! Oh how I took that ocean for granted!!!
So in order to prepare for my Cali trip, I have been gaming like a mad man for the last few days. I'm burning through Burnout Paradise, while barely slogging through Mazes of Fate. I am halfway through the Hard setting on Eat Lead, and finally decided to boot up the Wii to try out Super Mario RPG. I even decided to work on my BUZZ trophies.....though still haven't put the disc in. I'm just a tad bit burned out from that game.
Amazon still hasn't received the games I sent in for trade, so I am very worried that there is some USPS guy laughing it up while he's playing my games. So far, I would say that I most likely won't be using Amazon for trading in games ever again. I prefer instant gratification without the fear of $100's worth of games being lost or stolen. Call me old fashioned.
Anywho, that's about it for this week.....as they say......."California here I come, right back where I started from!"
Too bad about Amazon..
