Back in January of this year, I was searching for a way to escape the banality of updating my Facebook status with the same hodgepodge we all see. So, I decided to make a little countdown, updating my profile each day with a new album, along with changing my profile picture to depict the album art, and posting a video best representing said album. The countdown was the 100 greatest albums made by humans, and I had a lot of fun doing it for the seven or so months it took to get to number 1!
Unfortunately, I found 100 slots to be not as accommodating as I had hoped, and as a result the list is seriously lacking in some Sonic Youth, Pearl Jam, Velvet Underground, and perhaps some jazz. Nevertheless, I felt it captured both what I felt to be both extremely influential album releases, and just plain all-around darn-tootin' good music!
