Will the dark side give me pocket money if it adopts me?

It's a funny old world we live in with many mysteries that go unsolved and many questions unanswered but how do you answer the question "If you had the choice between the Xbox 360 or PS3, which one would you choose and why?"

I already answered that question last year and bought myself a PS3 because my friends had one and the plan was to play against them online, unfortunately everytime I have tried to play online it has ended in a bad experience well it has either been laggy or just not worked at all.

Now for those of you that know me, I pretty much have stated my thoughts on the 360 and it boils down to the fact of Microsoft getting as much many as possible by making things "separate" to the actual console yet when you look at both Sony and Microsoft, they are pretty much playing the same game.

Sony: Selling a console at £300, not budging on price, games are priced at £50 but offer free online and has Blu-ray, shoot themselves in the foot with not buying into exclusive DLC contracts

Microsoft: Selling a console at £130 with varied other models at different prices, accessories ranging from different prices, games are priced at £50 and XBL isn't free but offers the best online experience

You see, my PS3 doesn't get any use these days as I am more of a PC gamer, the only game I do play is Unreal Tournament III but I can grab that and a decent Unreal deal for £22 from steam.

The only PS3 game that entices me at the moment is WWE: Legends because it is exclusive to PS3, which I may keep my PS3 until then and get rid of it after I have played it.

Basically the PS3 exclusives do not interest me, they may interest others and others may love what Sony have done and are doing but I don't and at the moment the 360 is looking better and better.

So what am I going to do without a PS3? Well Blu-ray is simple, I do plan to upgrade my PC soon so I can use my HD video capture card....which I was going to use on the PS3 but I am sure it can be used on the 360 as well but I can get a Blu-ray drive for as low as £55.

Exclusive games? Like I said, they don't interest me....LBP turns me away from the PS3, Haze is a good idea but not a game for me, MGS4...yeah I'll give it to Metal Gear, I would play it and it is on my rental list but that's about it. Oh but there is God of War III...though I have still yet to complete I and II, I suppose I could also wait out for that but meh

Free online? OH NOES! I'm sorry but I would rather pay for a service that I know will work than one that is free and that won't work for me, yes it may have just been me or my wireless or something I didn't do right but funnily enough the only game that worked online was Unreal Tournament III. WWE Smackdown vs raw 2008 never worked and THQ pretty much said "sorry we have no idea" and PES 2008/2009 lol laggy as hell.

I am a PC gamer through and through, so why not keep the PS3 and just buy a 360 ontop? Well glad you asked because quite simply I have no where else to put it or any spare plugs (I have two 4 socket extensions on my walls...go figure) Ontop of this, if I can get back some money I spent on the PS3, it can pay for the 360 and it will be like I just straight out swapped it.

What about games, you will still be paying the same price? Again good question but like I am doing with PS3 games, I rent most of them and only buy the ones I really like (UT3 for example)

But SJ, you will be going back on everything you said about the 360, you won't live it down! Not really a question now is it? ¬_¬ Yes I realise this and it's not like I woke up and said one morning "I know, I will go back on what I said and get a 360". My PS3 collects dust because I play the PC more so than anything else, not only that but my work friends have the 360 and play it most days and it actually means I get to play against them online unlike currently with my friends from college (guys who got me to buy the PS3) where we don't play online but go around one of their houses and play it there.

With that said, that can still happen since 2 friends have 2 controllers each and there's 4 of us in total.

Overall I still get to play my PC games but this time I lose the chance to play PS3 exclusives, which I never did in the first place, instead I gain the 360 exclusives. The PS3 hasn't got anything to offer me and in a sense neither does the 360. If I was in a high paying job and owned my own house then I would own them all and not batter an eyelid but like I said, it's a funny old world we live in.

Of course I am still weighing the ups and downs and if it is really worth it so my mind isn't made up just yet but the thought is there and now it is just a matter of time before temptation to turn to the dark side sets in >:3

I went out and bought a 360 as well Shadow. Simply to play with my mates, as the only mate I had on PS3 moved on to PC gaming.

I'm not in your predicament though. I don't have the cash to put together a decent rig, therefore I'm limited to what my new laptop can do. It's fairly high-end, apart from the graphics card, which is a problem.
