Tips for "Candidates"

Alright, you guys need to tone it down a little. You have not even been accepted yet. Before you launch your campaigns, wait until you are actually in the running.

Another thing, do not try to come off as so presidential that you are not yourself. You need to be yourself for this campaign. Some people seem to be trying too hard to look like a president, and it just seems fake. The trick is showing the people who you are and how that makes you right for the spot. If you cannot do this, then you should not run. You will only fail and waste your time.

Also, do not try to make numerous, huge promises to people. At most, I made two promises, and they were pretty small things. People will think you are taking this too seriously, and that was a problem that I had in the last election. Like I said in my address, be competitive, but do not let your whole reputation weigh down on this.

So if I were you guys, I would hold off on all the banners and premature campaigning. Work right now and planning for the possibilities and that alone. Organize your friends. Test your connections. I hate to say it, but some of you are making yourselves look stupid out there, trying to run, when have not even been confirmed. You need to calm down and not rush this. You will have a long time to do this whole event, so there is no need to scuttle about.

Agreed. If I make it to the next stage, I highly doubt I'll be changing my behavior and attitude in the slightest. It is really is just an event to have fun in, not buckle down and act as though your life depends on it.

And if you don't win, it will still be good to continue to try to help Neo in any way that a normal member can. The prerequisites for applying is something that should be displayed at all times really, not just for the election.

I really hope that some of the people who are already campaigning don't get picked. It sounds cruel; But honestly, who wants people who are going to take it that seriously flooding the site with garbage for a few weeks?
