Microsoft has announced that it will be releasing an anime based on the Halo franchise, employing some of the top names in the anime industry.
The five companies involved in the actual production are Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G., Studio4°C, and Toei Animation. The director will be Shinji Aramaki, of Appleseed fame.
The anime will be released on DVD and online (doubtless through Xbox Live) in early 2010.
It is not clear precisely what kind of visual style the production will adopt, but given the subject matter, and involvement of Aramaki, 3D CG seems a likely and appropriate choice.
Recently I've watched and playing alot of games that have amazing (and lame) opening themes. So here today i'm going to rate the best out of the five games.
------------------------------- It's not really action intensive but the music and scenery are nice.
#FOUR: Disega 2 ------------------------------
------------------------------ Hey the songs kinda lame but the action is pretty good.
#THREE: Namco x Capcom ------------------------------
------------------------------ The song isn't that good in the beginning but seeing all the eccentric characters and there epic fights makes it seem better. It could have been number two if it had better action scenes.
#TWO: Tales of Symphonia 2 ------------------------------
------------------------------ The song isn't bad and the action is a win but it's still missing something. (Do you know?)
LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE NUMBER ONE OPENING IS............... :o
#ONE: BlazBlue ------------------------------
------------------------------ Perfect music with the perfect amount of action and the right scenes at the right time.
Well these games weren't voting on for having the best opening but were from my own opinion so you guys can discuss what you think should and shouldn't be up here. But BlazBlue is still the most epic though! :D

The spectacular trailer to the newly announced Halo anime has been unveiled, and is visible below:
The series is titled "Halo Legends" if your curious about it. The initial response seems to be that this it is spectacularly dire, having 2D sections reminiscent of an elderly mecha anime and 3D sections looking scarcely better than the actual game, with the additional inclusion of inexplicable flowery scenes.
