The Musings of a Shrub

So yeah. My cycling trip from Hamburg to Norway has been on for 6 days, and I'm already in Lund, Sweden! I good effort I think! That's 500km in 6 days! Really good stuff! The first day we only started around 6:15pm, so that doesn't really count anyway. We only had time for like, 20km. The second day we made around 70km to Kropp, but it started raining around 45km in Busdorf (still Germany). I got soaked to the bone! Horrible! 25 kilometers in the sopping rain! Not even dressing from head to toe in waterproof clothing was enough. The next day though, we biked all the way to the Danish border west of Flensburg. We crossed it and set up camp. We made 130km in 2 full days of biking! It was lovely weather in Denmark from the start. Day 4 was the most impressive though. We did a shocking 110km all the way past Kolding, Denmark! So yeah, first note. I passed all of my pesky exams. Whoo! But enough of that. Where one task ends, another begins. I suppose I AM a mod now. Maybe I should write more meaningful and worthwhile blog posts... But that can wait. I'd first like to note ahead of time that I'll be absent for a few (probably six) weeks something like 2 or 3 weeks from now. Yeah. My friend and I have been planning a bike ride from Bremen in Germany, to Ovre Ardal in Norway, a town at the end of one of the deepest fjords in the world. We'll bike there via Denmark, cross the Great Belt Bridge and head on through Sweden. It'll be a long journey, and my legs will die many deaths, but it will be a fun trip. I expect one of the wildest I've ever had. Wish me luck.

You know what? Finals are absolute poo. Feces. Excrement. The sooner I can wade through them, the better. Which is why, of course, I'm procrastinating by writing a blog entry. Putting off the shit swamp that is studying for my Spanish oral exam and the dreaded cognitive neuroscience final (I don't really care about my other two finals). Maybe I could write this entry in Spanish about cognitive neuroscience... I'm quite frankly shocked that such a dreadful thought even crossed my mind.

Anyway, maybe I'll use this time to bitch a bit. So, why am I procrastinating here, writing a blog entry, when I have so many other hobbies to attend to that would suffice equally well? You might say that it's because this is much more convenient than outdoor hobbies like photography, but then, I could be watching anime or editing photos. So yeah, uh... I don't get on Neo much, save to make my occasional appearance in the Anime forum and even more scarcely in the Fire Emblem forum, but hey, maybe this will bring me back for no obvious reason. I really don't think I have the dedication, the patience, or the degree of idiocy necessary to keep a blog going, but you know, I can try. Maybe I'll find that I actually have a lot of interesting things to say. Maybe I can talk about my life in college, or my experiences living in the Netherlands now. Maybe I can talk about my philosophies, or my courses. Maybe even, god forbid, my problems! Yeeeeaa-- No. No I won't do that. However, I could construct very intricate lies about my life, leading you all on to think I'm an extremely interesting person, or, you know, something like that. I'll probably do none of the above in the end, but hey, I'll keep any of you who actually read this
