Wow, I haven't posted shit in ages.

Well, just posting here to shameless advertise this, a joint gaming (and slight variety depending on gaming at that time and just what we feel like posting) blog between myself, Gryzor and DT Jesus. Alright, with that Pokemon Yellow playthrough well out of the way, it's time for me to try something different. Today, I have my mate, Gryzor, discuss LA Noire with me. However, some words have been changed so that there will be little to no spoilers... So ladies and gentlemen... say hello to Gryzor! Oh, and say hello to...



Gryzor: Not that I've played Heavy Rain before, but I heard that it's heaps better than LA Noire.

Kiker: Pretty much. Heavy Rain is something you can only really play once, but damn, that one time is just a hell of an experience.

Alright, this is it – the Pokemon League! The stage is set for me to kick some ass and show the world that I'm not just some punk kid from a quiet little village town! Err, anyway, it's time to commence the ass kicking!

The first member of the Elite Four is Lorelei, master of Ice type Pokemon. Her first to fight is Dewgong, and my first is Jolteon. With a powerful Thunderbolt, Dewgong is paralyzed and couldn't do anything before the second Thunderbolt sends it packing. Cloyster was next. He of rock hard defense had no chance against powerful Thunderbolt attacks.. but her next, Slowbro, was more prepared, but more Thunderbolts means more victories, and Thunderbolt just destroyed it. Her fourth was Jynx, who wasn't a Water type, so out you come Charizard. Yeah man, Fire Blast for the wi-- oh you have have to joking me, Jynx has only a third of its HP left? AND Ice Punch is SUPER EFFECTIVE!?

With a new day upon us, I hop aboard Tentacruel and ride the waves. I decided to give Dodrio some exercise as I barely find myself using it these days. Against all the Water Pokemon, it managed to take down at least most of them, with Exeggutor taking down a couple. After sailing across the water, I arrive in Pallet Town, but there's no time to waste, as I'm so close to entering the Pokemon League! I move on through Route 1 and eventually arrive in Viridian City!

Now I head inside the newly reconstructed Viridian Gym, and fight off all of the trainers. Seriously, this was pathetic. My Exeggutor/Primeape/Dodrio trio managed to give their Arboks, Tauros, Machops, Machokes, Nidorinos, Nidokings, Sandslashes and Dugtrios quite a beating without so much as a scratch. Good god, I swear, gyms were much harder during the start of the journey...

After checking the town map to check where the next badge could be, I rush out to find the next ferry to Cinnabar Island. Unfortunately, I seem to have missed the last ferry for a long while. Dammit, I want my Volcano Badge NOW! I hear talk of a super secret technique that's hidden away in the Safari Zone. Sweet, been wanting to check that out since I came to Fuchsia City, anyway! So off to the Safari Zone, I go!

After paying 500 bucks and obtaining the 30 Safari Balls, I walk around, looking for this super secret technique. In such a crusade, I also look for some Pokemon worthy of being a part of my team. Unfortunately, I had already met most of these Pokemon, and didn't see it fit to include them. But then there were Pokemon I haven't seen before, like Exeggcute, Tauros, Kanghaskahn and Chansey. Before I check out the rest of what Saffron has to offer, I look through my Pokedex to see what Pokemon are nearby. It scans a Snorlax, on the other side of Celadon City. So I cycle my way over to check out this Pokemon, and whoa, it's huge! I send out my Charmeleon to weaken it, then Mr Mime, then Primeape. Many Great Balls later, Snorlax is finally captured. I send it over to Professor Oak for safekeeping.

Just as I head back to Saffron City, a bike gang decides to surround me. They send out their Machokes, Primeapes, Weezings and Muks. My Primeape, Mr Mime, Charmeleon, Jolteon and Fearow manage to hold them off long enough for them to run like little bitches, though Fearow got smacked around quite a lot. I really need to replace him. As helpful as he was, there has to be a better Flying type... that isn't Charizard (oh yeah, Chameleon evolved into Charizard because Charmeleon is badass

After my victory in the Celadon gym, I decided to head into Saffron City... well, I could've, but the guard told me to piss off. I went up to the top floor of the Celadon shopping center, and heard a little girl crying for some drinks. So I got her one of each drink, and in exchange, she gave me TMs for Ice Beam, Rock Slide and Tri Attack. I taught Mankey Rock Slide, but nobody could learn the other two. Guess I'm wait for a Water Pokemon then. Then it got me thinking – maybe the guard wants a refreshment. So I bought some Fresh Water, went to the gate to Saffron City, and gave the guard some water as a bribe. He said he'll share it with the other guards... what, was it a 2L bottle of water I bought? I thought vending machines only had like 640mL bottles... the less I think about it, the better.

After finally getting out of that cave and restoring my Pokemon back to fighting strength, it all dawned onto me – Pikachu was a paperweight... but somehow, it's heavy enough to be a burden on my team. Unable to evolve and unable to realize its full potential, it was just a waste of time raising it. Sure, it beat Lt Surge... AFTER EVERYONE ELSE INCLUDING *bleep*ING SPEAROW WEAKENED RAICHU!!! But unfortunately, no decent alternatives were available before, and Electabuzz isn't present in Yellow if memory serves me right. Alas, I must press on while finding a suitable replacement for Pikachu. Sheesh, I sound like Lt Serge...

I heard from some passer-bys that there was a cave full of Digletts and Dugtrios. Being the brave adventurer that I am, I head for this cave. But this guy inside warns me that inside lay some hardcore mother*bleep*ing Pokemon. Well, he was right, because one step inside, I wake up tribes upon tribes of Digletts and Dugtrios. I had to run like hell to the other side of the cave so that they wouldn't be able to catch up with me.

I look around for something to do until the head died down. Spotting a house nearby, I looked and then walked inside. One of the people in there asked me if I had a Clefairy, and that he'd gladly trade it for his Mr Mime. I checked the Pokedex to see if Mr Mime could be caught, but alas, he wasn't. So I left and walked to Pewter City to take Clefairy out, at the expense of Drowzee. I go back and give the kid his Clefairy so I could nab myself a Mr Mime.

After healing my Pokemon at the Pokemon Center, the stage is now set for the second gym battle. I enter the building with Pikachu in tow, and Misty seems to have higher expectations as she sends two trainers – a Swimmer, and a female Jr Trainer. The Swimmer sent out a Horsea, and I sent Pikachu into battle. One Thundershock later, Horsea floats like a turd at sea, and Shellder followed two seconds later. The Jr Trainer shoved the Swimmer aside and sent out Goldeen. Pikachu only needed to blast it with two Thundershocks, and down Goldeen goes. Blah.

Now it's time for Misty herself, and she begins with a Staryu. Staryu was very little match for Pikachu's Thundershock. Her second Pokemon, Starmie, was a different affair. No matter how hard Pikachu hit with Thundershock, it still managed to hang in there, plus it had bloody Recover, meaning it could regain half its max HP at the risk of getti
