Over already?!

New Super Mario Bros Wii has easily been one of my most anticipated games since its announcement at E3 2009, so when it came out over here not too long ago (Nov 20th) I made sure to snap it up on its first day of release.

I've been having a blast with it...or should I say, I HAD a blast with it.
It's really quite annoying, don't you think? When you've been waiting for a game for what seems like forever, only too get your hands on it and complete it in few days.

Admittedly I only really have myself to blame here. I didn't pace myself too well, and played the game virtually all day yesterday. But every time I went for a break, for which I intended to be a couple of hours or so, it would end up being cut to about ten minutes, as the lure of getting all the star coins and finding all the secret exits became insatiable.

Don't get me wrong here. New Super Mario Bros Wii is a meaty game. But the p

Mundane blog post FTW.

If you came here looking in hopes of a fine piece of literature to stir your heart, sorry to say, you're out of luck.

Instead I have a question regarding the Sega Megadrive/Genesis. I recently had the pleasure of getting my greasy mitts on one. I've had a blast with it so far, but the controller has been giving me hassle.

It seems that the diagonal 'buttons' on the D-Pad aren't particularly responsive and require a nigh on ridiculous amount of effort to get working. I thought at first that contacts were perhaps a little dirty, so I asked Mr. Somebodyinmyfamily to take a look at them. Sure enough, the contacts were dirty, but even after they were cleaned, the diagonal buttons still refused to work.

I thought at that point that maybe I'd gotten a bit unlucky and the controller was broken, as it did look quite well worn. So I went and bought another one. While it appeared to be in better condi

Shake shake! It's question time!

Regret is such a powerful thing isn't it? Such minor little things can trigger it, and as soon as its seeds sprout within you, it takes over your body and mind completely.

Oh, Mischief Makers...why didn't I buy you back then?!

Okay, enough with the emo pish and cliche melodrama, lets cut to the chase (in a way that we don't at all). Mischief Makers. A whacked out platformer game released in 1998 for the N64. I was absolutely obsessed with this game back in the day. The variety of challenges, its bizarre setting, that upbeat feel, I loved it. The catch was that I never got the chance to actually play it. Bummer, huh?

Well thats not strictly true. I had plenty of opportunities to pick up the game, but due too the somewhat mixed reviews it was getting, I held off. I didn't have a lot of money at that age, so when I bought a game, it was a big thing, and I liked to be 100% sure the game I boug

Too much water = Head explosion

Don't you just hate it when you learn something that for some reason sticks with you and makes you really paranoid? I certainly know I do.

I recently learned that drinking too much fluids can result in ones brain expanding to an unhealthy degree, resulting in their untimely death. Now, while this is true, it DOES require a large amount of fluid intake over a fair period of time.

But even with this knowledge, I can't help but be a little paranoid whenever I go for a glass water. I always get this gruesome image plague my mind of my brain slowly expanding outwards, resulting in a headshot-esque explosion.

Every sip of water is like a life or death situation for me now. Ridiculous as it is, I can't help but be paranoid. Does anyone else get like this, or is it just me and my small little mind?

OMG I JUST WHIPPED OFF DRACULAS HEAD IS THAT EVEN PHSICALLY POSSIBLE?!

Greetings. Lost Rider here. It sure has been a long time since I posted here, hasn't it? Just nod in agreement. Lifes been busy lately, no time for such things.

Well, im going to start posting again soon enough, unfortunately for you unlucky souls. Well by soon I mean maybe. And by maybe I mean probably not at all. I'll try and keep it too twice a month. Yes, im that hardcore.

What do you mean you were expecting something else?

Its a mad mad world...

I just got around too playing Madworld. Awesome it is. Not the perfection i'd expect from the studio that made Viewtiful Joe and Okami, but great none the less. I might do a review on it...if I can find the bother XD

Actually, on the subject of games, i've been playing an abnormal amount of them lately >_>. Of course the amount I normally play is abnormal, but were talking REALLY abnormal here (I still have my life however, if any of you reading this are thinking I didn't, you nasty, nasty people).

Its not my fault though! I only dug out my old SNES and gave it a whirl...for nearly 5 days straight >_>. Its kind of nice being wrapped up in all that nostalgia though. The people who go on about how the best days of gaming have long past tick me off but I can see where there coming from. I dunno whether we say things like that though because we grew up with those things, or because games were

D is for...

...the first letter of all my blog post titles apparently.

Being heavily bored recently, I noticed the tab that links too all the other blog posts from the good people of neoseeker. I was quite horrified. Not because these posts were bad or anything, quite the opposite actually. THEY WERE TOO GOOD O_O. You see, these people took time to post things meaningful and such, making various points for people too think and comment upon. My blog posts?

OMGSF4PWDEDMELOLOLOLXDDD

...yeah. It served for a couple of lol's anyway. And another thing. How do you people post so much on this site?! I've been here for about 3 or so years now and I’ve only managed to post 200 odd posts! At first I thought that was a lot, but I’ve seen people who have just joined have more posts than me in less than a month! O_O

I reckon the people of neoseeker must be superhuman or something. They'll conquer the world one day

Dawn of Sorrow indeed...

Dammit, now I've started this blog, I can't stop! What have I dragged myself into?! Someone, hellllllllp...

Hmmmmm... What to talk about what to talk about...Oh, I know! Castlevania! Or to be more specific, Order of Ecclesia! Oh, and on top of that, I'll have a huge rant about it! Hooray! Seriously though, what a disappointment. Everything was great, apart from one major aspect, level design. Every area had virtually no originality about them, just packed to the brim with enemies and nothing else. It was also pretty linear, so say goodbye to the secret areas and replay value. Its still a good game despite this, but the previous Castlevanias on DS were superior by far. Rawr.

On the subject of all things spooky, Dracula. I started reading it. And dear god is it difficult. Its been a week now and I've only just made it to Chapter 2. Honestly, I was reading a page and had to go over it about

Dang....

Why oh why oh WHY!!! WHY is Street Fighter 4 so HARD?! I mean im pretty new to the whole fighting game thing but bleedin' hell, I don't think i've ever swore at my TV screen so much in my life (well, apart from maybe in Mario Kart but thats a different story...)! Thinking back on when I first got the game its kinda amusing (well actually, kinda sad) going from medium mode, to easy mode(O_O), to very easy mode (>_>), to easiest mode (T_T). I cant even pull off a decent shoruken without being smashed to bits by my opponent. Oh, hold on, I cant even pull shoruken off properly...ahahahahahaha *shot*

Nevertheless, I love it. Its tough, but as you play it becomes more natural, and there's something addictive about learning to master the various move sets of characters. So...yeah.

Anyways, bus journeys. My bus is the best bus ever. Why is it the best bus ever? I'll tell you why its the best bus
