2000 complete profiles....

Okay, I know, it's not really a high number because I'm sure that a lot of people have more than 2000 profiles but still, I've reached a new milestone today, with a lot of casual games (trying to submit all the sequels), DS (and the usual things I'm not playing: Imagine series for example) and...

iPhone. Yes, iPhone!

iPhone... Strangely, I don't feel stressed when I'm submitting iPhone games, not as it was when the section opened. And I should be worrying about it, I mean, I can honestly say that more than 90% of the profiles in the section were submitted by me.

The strange thing is that nearly nobody is contributing in it... apart the usual members that were already helping me to fill the sections like Vermillion or Intoxication.

Guys, I know you missed me but for the iPhone, don't tell me that because I've tried to give a good base for the section who was poor at the time, you thought that

CSI: Deadly Intent DS - first impressions

Well, I'm not writing a review because I didn't finish the game but I can't help myself to make a comparison with Dark Motives on the same platform.

Dark Motives is perhaps the clone of the PC version but at least, we had some liberties and the reflex to play like on PC for those having already that experience. You were free to choose what you wanted to do, to ask questions by yourself, to choose the tool, etc. etc. It was just missing some music, some hard evidence to collect,...

Here on Deadly Intent, the DS is a collection of four new cases (and I can truly say that it is sufficient when you see some minigames), exclusive to it and not being a clone of the PC. True, when you see what you need to do on PC, what is proposed in DS is more inspired by the mechanics of CSI: NY.

If at least we have some new music, the new team and cartoon graphics that are really good, I'm just having some neg

Link to member sub pages using [[memberid:]]

If you already use the member shortcut nTag you already know to do this:

code
[[member:Redemption]]

Now you can link to any member's profile subpages up to one level deep. Eg their guestbook, activity page, contributions, FAQs, neohome.

code
[[member:Redemption/guestbook]]

and voila: Redemption's guestbook

code
[[member:Artificer/neohome]]

Result: Artificer's neohome

PS.: If you like this thank Xenctuary, he bugged me several times to add this to my TODO list :). Maybe go and sign Xenctuary's guestbook

CSI: NY game and CSI: Miami and CSI: Deadly Intent...

Don't look at me like that, I've finally bought the last CSI game for PC... and DS. Yeah, I know, putting 54 euros for two games that will perhaps not be as good as Hard Evidence is a lot but at least, I've box scans, another reason to write FAQs and...

Uhm... well, perhaps trying to get back to the old way of playing CSI. Don't get me wrong, CSI: New York is interesting for the graphics, the music and a new way of playing but well, I'm wondering if Telltale wouldn't have done better than Legacy Interactive... I'm still NOT having my golden star for analysis - labo, despite having done the right thing (according to Gamezebo - No, I'm not following their walkthrough, I'm playing without looking, only when I've finished a case and compared notes with it for the future .txt file which will appear on Neo, GF and Supercheats). And I've just noticed that the French version is having slight diff

Left 4 Dead 2 review for Xbox 360 posted!

Ha ha, our Left 4 Dead 2 review went up a little while ago, and I'm posting it for you guys now before I head off to bed. It's the Xbox 360 version, if you haven't already heard, so keep that in mind. We should have a review for the PC version soon though.

Seriously, this game got way scarier with the sequel. Valve decided to toss in some creepy environments like pitch black sewers, a sugar mill INFESTED WITH WITCHES, a murky swamp with nasty Mudmen... Yeah, seriously, I need to play this with other people in the future.

Here's the obligatory excerpt from the article, followed by a link to the full review:

Turns out the sequel isn’t just a rehash as so many still believe it to be. With a new cast of Survivors and Infected, more complex gameplay, and gorgeous environments, Left 4 Dead 2 takes the series further with one giant leap, something none of us could fully appreciate with

I've updated it! I've updated it!

Why the enthusiasm? Because I've finally updated my Achievement guide for TF2. I wasn't really in the mood for doing it when Spy vs Sniper was out and with FB, well, it has taken time to say to me "well, now, it's time to get order in it: Halloween is out, SvS is out since May, an achievement for Scout changed, new maps and new modes were out and perhaps you should add a section about hats as there are a looooot now".

I'm working on it since Saturday and I've finally managed to do the Sniper AND the Spy today with some information added or removed for the other classes.

Well, now that the thing is settled, I'm going back to CSI: NY game. Can I just strangle Legacy Interactive? Between hard minigames that shouldn't be so hard and the fact that despite doing everything right, some stuff aren't triggered in a good way.... Well, anyway, I'm going back to do again the second case for at least h

Summer Vacation For Me... I May Work On NAMFox For Internet Explorer.

Yes, Summer vacation for me as I am in the Southern Emisphere of Earth, but that's another topic for another time.

Anyways, a while ago, I created a Blog Post asking who would like to have NAMFox ported to the Internet Explorer browser. Now that I am finally starting my vacations, I may be able to work on it, although, ever since June/July, I haven't done anything related to programming, not even PHP or C#. I was planning on making NAMFox for IE with the latter, so I will need to refresh my skills and re-read some books here and there to brush up my skills.

Now, there are some things I will need:
  • A Name. In the link I posted above people posted some ideas for the name of the software (I was thinking NAMIE, Artificer said NAMExplorer, which sounds good, and Chad said NAMChad, which is a bit of a turn off :P). So you can give me ideas for the name.
  • Alpha/Beta testers. I will follow Artific

Left 4 Dead 2 cards from EA, review in progress

EA likes to give out free stuff, apparently. Now this is nothing like the crazy Dragon Age: Origins press kit EA sent tekmosis / Jamie, but I thought these were pretty neat anyway:

I had already pre-ordered Left 4 Dead 2 off Steam a while ago, but EA sent the 360 version over for review. The game came with those cards, which you might recognize as the in-game campaign "posters." It'd be way cooler if these had been actual poster size, but I'm not complaining. Currently wondering how I should display these, or if I ought to just hide them away somewhere.

Kinda funny though; the Parish card was on top when they arrived, and it was covered in fingerprints, presumably belonging to whoever packed them into the envelop for shipping. I could tell they weren't mine because the prints were so much larger than my fingers -- I gots small hands.

The review itself is coming along. I had originally

Modern Warfare 2 review done, Left 4 Dead 2 on the way~!

OKAY, seriously, I'm tired as hell. But here's the Modern Warfare 2 review I've been writin' for the last few days. Hey, there are worse jobs out there than reviewing hit games! It's the 360 version, so you won't find any bitching about how Activision shafted PC gamers (which they did, massively).

We do address the controversial terrorism segment of course, so have a read if you're interested. Next up, I'll be reviewing Left 4 Dead 2 for 360, though I've already pre-ordered the PC version. I did try both at E3, and the controls are quite fluid.

Anyway, here's an excerpt from the Modern Warfare 2 review, and you'll find the link below...
