Interest in violent games

Is it just me or do the more violent games seem to be some of the only games that many people are interested in these days? It seems that people have more interest in FPS and Survivor Horror games than something like Platform or Fighting games these days. Personally, I don't even like FPS or Survivor Horror games and I like Platform and Fighting games. I'm just not interested in games like Left 4 Dead and Call of Duty: World at War, but rather games like Sonic Unleashed and Soul Calibur 4. There's some violent games I like, as long as it's not an FPS or anything.

You know what I hate? Internet slangs and memes. They're just so stupid and you'll never see me use them, not even on something like MSN. Not to mention, they are so overused these days. There's no point in them, other than laziness or just trying to be funny. I actually have used them a few times now and then a long time ago, but I regret it now. You can say it's "fun", but I don't see any fun in them.

Personally, I've always wanted to be a moderator on Neoseeker. What I am asking is, do you people think I would make a good mod or not? You can give some reasons too, if you want. Some people are saying I would be too strict, but I don't know about that.
