It is that time of year, the best time of the year! Put that shaver away because the NHL Playoffs are starting!

For those of you unfamiliar with how the NHL Playoffs work: Eight teams from each conference make the playoffs. They then play their corresponding seed in a best of seven series. The higher ranked seed gets home ice advantage
(throughout the playoffs) so they play the first two games, the fifth
(if necessary), and seventh game
(if necessary) in their home arena. After the first round there will be four teams left for each conference. The highest seed remaining from each conference will play the lowest seeded team remaining in their conference. The two middle seeds will play each other, as well. After that is the semi-finals where the two teams remaining in each conference play each other. And of course, the two victors from those series square off in the final best of seven series to fight for Lord Stanley's Cup.
