It has been a long and grueling journey, both for players and us fans, but it is finally here; the Stanley Cup Finals! Emerging from the Eastern Conference is the #4 seed the Pittsburgh Penguins and from the Western Conference we have the Detroit Redwings, the #2 seed!




Good luck to both teams as they fight for the most coveted trophy in all of sports! Here is to a good hard hitting, high scoring, intense Stanley Cup final!

I'll be cheering for Detroit, simply because I don't like Pittsburgh. I personally don't like the final this year because it is a rematch of last year. But, I guess everyone feels that way unless it is their team who is in the finals again. Hopefully though, both teams put on a show and Detroit pulls out in a heart wrenching, nerve racking Game Seven overtime!

It is that time of year, the best time of the year! Put that shaver away because the NHL Playoffs are starting!

For those of you unfamiliar with how the NHL Playoffs work: Eight teams from each conference make the playoffs. They then play their corresponding seed in a best of seven series. The higher ranked seed gets home ice advantage (throughout the playoffs) so they play the first two games, the fifth (if necessary), and seventh game (if necessary) in their home arena. After the first round there will be four teams left for each conference. The highest seed remaining from each conference will play the lowest seeded team remaining in their conference. The two middle seeds will play each other, as well. After that is the semi-finals where the two teams remaining in each conference play each other. In this blog I will be reviewing some applications that are available via the App Store for the iPod Touch and iPhone. Applications I review will be primarily games. So, lets get started:

Tangram Puzzle Pro

This is a wonderful app. This is the main version that costs $0.99 which contains four hundred and eighty puzzles with new ones being updated into it from time to time. There is also a Lite version that is free however it only contains 6 puzzles.

When starting up this app you pick a Puzzle Pack which contain sixty puzzles each. Upon loading up a puzzle you have to retrieve your seven shapes out of the drop down tray. The shapes include five triangles (two large, one medium, and two small) a square and a quadrilateral. You can select, move, and rotate each shape very easily. The object is to just fit all of them into the puzzle; once you've down that you move onto the next puzzle.

I'm sure most people would rather be taller than shorter. I mean, people seem to get teased all the time for being short while no one really picks on tall kids. However being tall is not all it is cracked up to be.

Why short people get picked on :(

I'm a lanky kid: 16 years old and stand at about 6'3. I've always been off the charts in height when getting a physical or whatnot at the doctor. I have first hand experience in the misfortunes of tall people.

First things first, harder to fit in things. About a week and a half ago I got my drivers permit (whoo!) My dad has this huge van but he doesn't let me drive it. His reasoning is that he might get called out for work and need it but we all know he thinks I'll crash it or something. So instead, I'm stuck with my mom's 1990 Volvo.
