A successful day.
So, today has been a day of many successes. Unlike most monotonous days, today has been one which has stood out and actually made me genuinly smile. It started off when my English Literature teacher shows me my paper with an A grade on it; pretty spectacular for me, considering I've been predicted an E-F for almost two years. Following this achievement, I managed to write my software successfully in ICT, before my teacher could find the solution, thus earning me merit -and all of this before dinnertime.
Dinnertime comes and what do I get? A tray of this pasta shit with some sauce. Was pretty nice, but I thought it was a pretty lame deal considering I get more food at my other school (Our school has a joint-partnership with another sixth form, I'm educated at two places). But wait...! I get free cookies, grapes and milk at this school. Score.
After dinner I had one lesson left: Chemistry. A favourite of my lessons, but something I struggle with occassionally. Anyway, we're doing a Biochemistry module at the moment, so it's nothing too difficult for me (I prefer this over Organic chemistry). So, we were studying alpha-delta-glupyranose disaccharide molecules when my teacher asks me a question about one of the Carbon atoms in one of the Glupyranose cyclic compounds, asking me what it's called (Not the atom's name, mind you). I pipe up with an unsure "Anameric carbon?" and I was right. First time in ages. Again, earning another merit for today.
So, I was pretty happy with the way that sixth form went today. On the way home, though, it started pissing it down. My £150 suit drenched. I was a little annoyed to say the least, though I should have expected English weather to have been no different. I got home and then found out I had been sent a form, asking me to go vote in the general elections (Since I' now 18). I get my coat on and toddle off. I got to the place, voted, went back home - to be greeted by a kebab. Score.
Anyway, that's been my day today. Pretty good. Now I'm just waiting for the weekend to come along so I can go and get drunk again.
