Delgo? WTF is that?

So, apparently a movie called Delgo was released just recently and it broke a record. Why haven't you heard of it? Well, the record it broke was having the poorest opening week ever.

In an exotic divided land, Delgo, an adventurous dreamer but naive teenager, must rally his group of troubled youth and some unlikely friends to protect their world from conflict between the terrestrial Lockni people, who harness the mysteries of the land. And the winged Nohrin people, who rule the skies. They live - segregated - in an uneasy peace until Delgo was framed for a crime he did not commit. After enlisting the help of a unlikely friend to escape a Nohri prison, Delgo discovers Imhoff is in danger so he must unite the two races against a common foe.
It has very well-known celebrities playing the voices, such as the beautiful Jennifer Love Hewitt and Kelly Ripa, as well as Freddie Prinze Jr., Anne Bancroft, and Val Kilmer. Still, with all of these high-profile stars, I actually only heard about this movie once prior to hearing about this record it broke. It seems as though it is for younger kids anyway, and I don't have the cash to go spend on a movie not even made for my age, so I doubt I'll go see it.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that little bit of news with ya. Feel free to try to help the movie out by going and seeing it. From what I heard it is averaging about 2 people in the audience per showing. Kinda sad. ;(

    I'm not sure if it was the timing of it, or if people are just tired of seeing these types of movies. Either way, I'm curious as to what movie previously held the record.

    rofl. This is funny. I'd never watch another movie with this kind of storyline.
