Tonight marks the culmination of months of work on the rewrite and further improvement of NAMFox. In this effort I've managed to fix an extremely high percentage of bugs that were reported as well as add numerous new features that are long overdue.
As I mentioned in my
previous post, the newest updates to NAMFox, including this release, will no longer support Firefox 2. I have tried to resolve problems I have had in this version of Firefox, even by communicating with the developers responsible for some of the changes between Firefox 2 and 3, but there are just too many significant changes between the two versions to account for reliably. I know there are a few of you who cannot upgrade to Firefox 3, and I apologize for that.
This is a
beta version, which means it is an
optional update.
If you want this version, you will need to download it from the link on this page. Since it is a beta version, I would very much appreciate any feedback you have, positive or negative. Bug reports and suggestions for new features are
always welcome. You may post these in either the
main NAMFox forum, or the
NAMFox for Moderators forum if the bug/suggestion relates to moderator functionality.
The following is a list of changes between NAMFox 1.0.5 and NAMFox 1.1b1. A more thorough list (though targeted more for technical customers) is available

And I'm spent. 280 hours of work since December 18. A lot of that work happened behind the scenes, improving the infrastructure and maintainability of the product, as well as introducing an automated means to test that various features are actually working. I'm very happy with this release and hope you all are, too.
Special thanks goes to lord monkey for helping find bugs in the pre-beta builds, as well as Quierta for providing feedback on the new look for Quick Reply and Quick Edit.
Cheers,
Artificer

Liking it so far Art. Lets see how good it is. Thanks.
I'll give it a go. Thanks Art!
One is not having all those links across the top of my browser which looks much neater.
The other is the new way of using quick edit which I found to be really cool.
1. The smiley's list refuses to drop down on the NAMfox toolbar. The only thing that pops up is a small white square.
2. In some threads, the quick reply doesn't appear while in others it does.
Besides those, I'm loving the new NAMfox.
2. Quick Reply doesn't appear in threads that are closed and threads you don't have permission to reply to. Does that mirror what you're seeing?
2. It appeared in some General Discussions I tend to post in, while some Pokemon Diamond Clans are also not revealing the quick reply box. Some threads do show the box, but others don't.
However, I am having a few problems. First of all, the quick edit box isn't appearing for me. I have checked, and the threads I'm testing it in are indeed open.
Secondly, I can't seem to figure out how to use the strip color option. All I see is three options in the toolbar; smileys, messages, and NAMFox; none of them seem to have the option I'm looking for.
I made a bug report in the forum.
I know why it doesn't work now. If you have no smilies selected in the prefs the little box comes up.
It's no bug.
EDIT: Report deleted.
I'm loving the customisation options Art.
Mush less clutter at the top of my screen.
I also can't seem to find Namfox on Mozilla either.
And yeah, NAMFox isn't on http://addons.mozilla.org, yet.

No worries, though, I'm already scheming something to get around this.
I get this
