It may be a long way away, but I'm at that stage of life where you go into deep thought about your future, and well, here I'm going to record my current thoughts for the future. Well, Allons-y.
Well, the first thing that's to be considered is my Standard Grade exams, my mum, annoyingly, expects be to get top grade in EACH one. Well, here's a brief run-down of my current expectations.
English - Need to work Harder, probably scraping a pass at this stage. My critical essays are a bit hit or a miss, some essays can be good, but some can muck up, I suppose it's just struggling with the text. Maths - Strong subject for me, just need to stop letting easy marks slip past. Apart from that, not much to comment about. French - What's the point? Modern Studies - Again, strong, the only thing that may hinder my is revision. Physics - Must study harder, confuses the hell out of me does most stuff. Need to read my notes more. Health Physics and Electricity are specific topics to study. Graphics - A hit and miss subject, can work really well on the drawing, and excellent with the Knowledge & Understanding, but Illustration & Design (or whatever it's called) needs some work. Computing - My favourite subject, work really hard in it, I should get by easy. The teacher practically fawns at me and my mate's work. Because we're brilliant. Art: There is no hope left for me in this subject, I want to just walk away from it, without turning back.
After these of course are the Higher Grades Courses, in which I need to pick around five subjects, these are my current potential choices if I wish to work on my ambition of being a lawyer or computer programmer
English
Maths
Computing
Modern Studies
Physics or Graphics
Now, by picking these, I have a wide field for when I am pursuing a career, which is me thinking ahead of the game, this way I can ensure I at-least have a future, hell, even Architecture is a possible route for me. However, my brother advices me to do a "Crash-course" on History for a year, again, opening many opportunities. As I have an interest in Media, History could be useful.
Now, career wise, and University wise, well, there are many areas I could potentially pursue, bearing my exam grades into account. Currently, my options are:
Law
Computer Software Development
Media
Journalism (*bleep* knows why tbh)
And so, there you are, my long-term plans for the future, I hoped you enjoyed reading, and I would happily accept any advice if you wished to give me it.
Good luck with all your future plans, they all seem really awesome and i'm sure you'll be able to fulfill your dreams.
