Something cool I came across whilst obsessing over Prince of Persia:

quote
1. Concept
The first thing decided upon for any trailer we make is the overall concept of the trailer, what’s the purpose behind it, what we want to show and how we want to show it. In order to fit with the game’s artistic mood, it was clear from the beginning that we needed to have beautiful trailers with strong music to really move people when they watch it.
And so on. :)

OK, I have temporary internet access, and let me say this: OH MY DEAR *bleep*ING GOD! I've been at my Grandma's for one day now, checking a couple of my favourite threads via my Cell Phone (which is being a bitch by not letting me sign in.) and I haven't been able to post unless I get sort of lucky with my mom's iTouch, which will only let me log in as my Alternate Account "Azure". I've been doing shit: Playing I Wanna Be The Guy, Syobon Action, my DS and reading Eragon (one of my christmas presents, along with Eldest. I now have the full trilogy, save for the Cycle-finisher =D) and I AM *bleep*ING BORED OUT OF MY GOD DAMN *bleep*ING MIND!!!!

I can't wait till I get full internet access.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, NEO-HEADS.

There, happy? Well, these kids are. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a pot of beef curry with my name on it, and a fresh copy of Mass Effect that still requires breaking in.

Kidding. You know I love you guys, even if I can be a crazed feminist masquerading as a fangirl and most of you have dicks. I KID! You guys are awesome. Stay safe, readers and staffers, and keep on posting great stuff about me -- or yourselves, because that's interesting too.

Tell me one thing, Neo. What exactly is the point of The Game? Who would make something that the point of which is to forget it's existence, lest you lose? Is it some sort of social experiment? An experiment to see who is truly the most forgetful person alive and laud them as a winner? Is it just to punish those of us who have good memories and make us look like losers? Or is it just to see how fast people can stop giving a shit?

Take me, for example. I used to enjoy the Game- for the times I actually remembered it existing, and taking the opportunity to make a subtle way of making people share in my loss. Then, my real life "friends" discovered it. This is when I stopped giving a shit. See, to me, the Game was about how subtly you could make people lose while not losing yourself- redundant, I know, considering that activley trying to make people lose implies that you yourself have lost, however I've made people lose without intending to, which is always fun. My real life "friends" do not know the meaning of subtlety. It was after the fifth time of someone walking up to me and shouting "GAME GAME GAME" in my face that I said **** this. **** it to high hell. And so you have me no longer caring whether or not I lose the Game, but gleefully now thinking of new ways to make people lose the Game. Such as a blog post- by the way, those of you that play, you just lost. >=D

My opinion? Give up on the Game. It saves you a lot of stress and "**** YOU I JUST LOST THE GAME!!! >:E" (Which I now fully expect to be flooded with.)

Thank you for reading this, and have a Merry Christmas. Have fun, eat lots of food, drink heavily if you are of legal drinking age, and for the love of God, make someone lose the Game. Bonus points for filming/recording their reaction and putting it on the Internet.

Well in spite of several forum posts where I said I would be able to release the next forum update before Xmas it now appears to be impossible :(.

I decided to redo the thread email subscriptions, which has remain unchanged for many years, which set me back.

My new intended launch date is next Monday/Tuesday, since we have some time off this week for the Holidays.

What a crap way to start a blog but meh my mind works in quite simple ways.

I wish everyone a happy festive time... which reminds me that I still haven't decorated the Christmas trees even though it's Christmas Eve.

So yeah...

OK, this is getting tiring. Let me just say this: I enjoy playing Mega Man. Like it? Good. Don't? I don't care. It's getting exhausting with people telling me "Megaman sucks, anyone who plays it is a fag lololol!" Guess what? I don't give a *bleep*ing care! Call me a fag, I don't care. Flame me, fill up my inbox with pointless arguing, I don't care. I see nothing wrong with it, I enjoy the series, so do me a favor and piss off.

On a lighter note, I won't be around probably tomorrow, Christmas, or Boxing day (Canada terms, of course), for the reason that I will be visiting relatives. I just want to say Merry Christmas to the following people:

It's that time of the year again. Where running noses meet running around in stockings, it's the holidays! Now, my family isn't much for traveling but since half the family is split in two, my older siblings have booked some flights to lovely California so we could all spend this end of the year together. I have no idea why but I thought this would all go off without a hitch. They booked their flights on Sunday 21st and supposed to get here at 7:00 that evening. Well it's Monday December 22nd, 10 pm and I sit year all alone. Why is this? THE MOTHER *bleep*ING SNOW STORMS THAT'S WHY!!
Their flights have not been delayed once, not twice but THREE TIMES and I bet tomorrow's flight will be delayed even further.

Happy *bleep*ing holidays.

I'm sorry, I just need to vent. It's been a disappointing 2 days and I've been looking forward to this week since September. I haven't seen my sister in a year and haven't seen my brother in almost 2 years.

Enough of that techno-jargon for now...I'm in the middle of getting ready for a flight home tomorrow to spend some time with my family for Christmas till next Monday. The problem is that I will still have my laptop, so I'm sure some project will suck me in while I'm down there.

And that is why I am writing this post. What are some things you do in order to avoid or put off work? About all I can think about now are video games, but I have only a Super NES down there, which as beautiful as it may be, it is definitely not an awe-inspiring system nowadays. I just need a project of sorts to occupy my mind while I'm down there, preferably not computer- or technology-related.

Grazie!

(I'm not really down; I just like the alliteration of "Winter Break Blues." Also, I had to add something to the title because it was fewer than 16 characters. Rebel, please.)

I honestly hate comparison videos that attempt to show "huge" difference between the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. 95% of the time, the only difference is the lighting/shading. Other than that, fanboys create pixel issues and how that fat guy standing in the corner isn't the same on the other system.

Comparison videos are the devil's work.

Today I spent some time getting NAMFox onto Google Code. Even though by the nature of Firefox extensions the project is "open-source," I didn't feel that it was living up to that name. Of course, I'm still the only person working on it, but I hope this encourages some of you that have shown interest in tweaking it to download and play around with it.

(NAMFox 1.0.4 is in the /trunk folder, while my work on NAMFox 1.1 is in the /branches/Nov 2008 v1.1 Re-Architecture/ folder.)

Well we had our Christmas with my in-laws over the weekend. It was actually a great time. The kids all received very nice things and I got Mirror's Edge (a very pleasant surprise!!). I accidentally bought a 6 ft sub thinking it was only going to be the 3 ft one which is what we ordered last year. The thing was ginormous and even after giving away 2 feet of it, it's all we've been eating for the last few days!!!

Our friend Theresa came over with her family and we all enjoyed the evening together. Once again the kids all got nice things and I received one of my favorite movies Mr. Brooks. We checked out the local Christmas light display and then I proceeded to get smashed off of eggnog and beer. 'Tis the season to be drunk......don't judge me!!

Last week I was checking Amazon's lightening deals and they had Brother's in Arms: Hell's Highway for only $10!!!! Yeah that's right, $10!!! O_O It was sold out in seconds, however I have a itchy trigger finger and was one of the lucky ones.....it should be here today or tomorrow. I could trade it in and make my money back if I don't like it.....I'm totally proud of that deal!!!

I also received a package this weekend that contained a Wal-Mart gift card to use for myself and the girl's discretion. My first thought was to pick up Fallout 3 because most people are saying it's a great game. However, this is where my hesitation comes in. There are five games I really want:

Fallout 3
Bioshock
Far Cry 2
Valkyria Chronicles
Tom Clancy World at War

Out of all of those games, Valkyrie Chronicles is the ONLY game that I am not seeing negative comments on. While Fallout 3 seems to be getting the brunt of them. Many things are being said about lagging, freezing, and worse such as having to restart the game during certain conditions.....and quite frankly I'm not sure I want to lend my $60 to what I would consider an unfinished game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm used to the 'Save every 5 minutes while playing a RPG' tactic. Shit, by now it's second nature. But should I be expected to do so just in case a game glitches? This isn't a case of me using horrible tactics and dying....causing me to restart from the last save point. This is more like the game testers and QA didn't do their damn job and/or don't give two shits if I waste my time restarting from the last save.

Maybe.....just MAYBE these bugs won't affect me personally because I have already been trained by Square Enix to tread lightly and save often. But I don't really want to send the wrong message to developers that it's OK to ship a game for $60 that isn't complete....and YES I do consider it incomplete, please forgive me if I feel that a buggy game doesn't warrant our purchases. Patches to fix minor things I can overlook....patches to fix games that make you lose your progress or freeze the whole game should be unforgivable!

So my dilemma is do I buy the buggy ass game with trophies (and 100+hours of gameplay) or the highest rated game that will probably drop in price immediately after I get it. LMAO Why do trophies play a part? Because I don't want to restart the game with a fresh save *cough* screw you GTA!! *cough* and there are rumors (which I read as 'hopes') of Valkria Chronicles receiving them in 1st quarter '09.

The reality is, this is a gift and I shouldn't be such a cheap bastard about it, so I'm thinking get the more expensive game with the gift money and wait for Valkyria Chronicles to come down low enough for my cheap ass to afford it.....

What do you guys think? You have 3 hours before I head to Wal-Mart and make my final decision. What would you do in my position?
