Swine flu just canceled school today. Regularly I'd be completely cool with that, but in light of the AP tests over the next two weeks, I'm not. I seriously think this thing is getting blown way out of proportion. Really, what makes it so terrible? As far as I'm concerned, as long as you're not very young or old and are perfectly healthy, you have nothing to be concerned about. Until I get a definitive answer, my opinion will stay that way. :-P
Really? Mate, it doesn't matter how healthy you think you are, you have absolutely no immunities to this. It's an animal virus, and humans will more than likely die if they get it, according to the media.
School is cancelled as a precaution to stop from students dying.
Anyway, I'm probably going to contract it, since I'm riding on an Airplane this weekend.
It's not necessarily that you will die from getting it, rather that there are many people with immunity problems that will if it continues to spread. I don't think it's much worse than the normal flu in that regard. Thousands die of the normal flu every year.....it's just not as publicized as one would think.
Yes, Kokoro, and that person was a mexican toddler who came from mexico for treatment. But honestly, I'm not worried about it either. If I were to get it, I'd probably be fine. The death rate isn't actually that high.
So, you shouldn't worry all that much.

I sure hope my school isn't going to be closed...I will be pissed if they close it.
